Chapter 100 An Expensive Antique

“Are you f*cking blind?” The two young men shouted at Annie when they saw the smashed vase. Annie knew she was not being careful. She knew it was her mistake and kept apologizing, “Sorry. It’s my fault. Let me compensate you. How much is this vase?” Annie said while getting her purse.”

Frank and Freya were apologizing as well. They said they would compensate for the vase.

“Compensate? Do you think you can f*cking afford to compensate for it?” One of the men scolded, “This vase is the crown jewel of the auction. It costs 300 million dollars. Mr. Jordan just removed it from the vault, and you broke it. This vase is priceless. It’s the only one in the world. You need to pay a compensation of double the price. Six million dollars.”

The three of them were shocked to hear the price of the vase they just broke. It was just an ordinary vase, but it was worth three million dollars.

Annie almost cried from shock. She would never be able to compensate for such an expensive antique even if she sells all her assets.

“That’s…”

Frank and Freya were dumbfounded too. They could not afford to pay the amount of money requested from them. They could not even make 600 million dollars after the Monsalt project was completed.

The other man shouted, “I’m telling you! If you can’t compensate for it, I will send you to prison. You’ll be imprisoned for life because of this vase’s value.”

“Young man, we will think of something. Please don’t do that.” Frank was terrified. He held onto the man’s arm and begged.

The man slapped Frank and said, “Your hands are so f*cking dirty! How dare It costs a few thousand dollars. F*ck!”

Frank kept quiet after he got slapped.

“Dad!” Freya rushed to Frank and stood in front of him. She said seriously, “Don’t hit my parents. I’ll take responsibility for this. Don’t worry. I will compensate you for this.”

“What’s going on?” Jordan came over and scolded, “The auction will begin soon. Why are you still here? I won’t forgive you if you affect the auction’s progress.”

Jordan Dashton was the owner of Oceania Auctions. He was also the eldest son of the Dashton family.

“Mr. Jordan. This b*tch’s mother broke the vase you brought.” The young man said immediately

when he saw Jordan.

Jordan looked at the smash vase pieces on the ground and said angrily, “F*ck! Did you break my vase? Do you want to f*cking die?”

Annie was trembling out of fear. She almost cried when she remembered that the price was six million dollars.

my mother’s Freya was firm and stood in front of her parents. She said, “Mr. Jordan. I know it’s fault for breaking your vase, I’m willing to take the responsibility. How much is the vase? I’ll pay you. Don’t hurt my mother.”

“Do you know how much this vase costs?” asked Jordan.

“Three… Three million dollars.” Freya said weakly.

“Nonsense!” Jordan shouted. “This vase is priceless. You must compensate me with six million dollars. If you can’t, I’ll send you to prison!”

“I… I will think of a way.” Said Freya.

“There are too many people here. Come to my office and we can discuss the compensation there.” Jordan said before leaving.

“Mom, I’ll go and discuss the compensation with him. Call Lucian.” The first person who came to Freya’s mind was Lucian at a time like this.

Freya followed Jordan to his office. She was scared when saw a group of men sitting inside his office.

“Hello, Ms. Harrison.” Henry said with a grin while sitting on the sofa.

Prince Harry and Jackson also stared at her while grinning.

Meanwhile, Frank and Annie called Lucian after they watched their daughter follow Jordan into his office. They waited in front of the auction entrance anxiously. Soon, Lucian arrived and asked, “Frank. Annie. What happened?”

“It was all my fault.” Annie said with a guilty face, “I was careless when I was walking and broke Jordan’s vase worth six million dollars. What should we do now?”

“What? A vase worth six million dollars?Lucian frowned. He knew something fishy was going on. It was abnormal for someone to simply move a six–million–dollar vase out.

“Is it the Dashton family’s vase?” asked Lucian.

“That’s right.” Annie answered,

Lucian remembered he had met Yonny before, who was the head of the Dashton family. He could ask him about the vase. He said, “Annie, calm down. Let me ask a friend about it.”

Lucian walked to a corner and asked Liam to replace Yonny’s contact. Since Yonny was a famous collector in Sioux, Lucian got his number immediately.

Lucian called Yonny and asked, “Mr. Yonny, I’m Lucian.”

“It’s Mr. Lucian?” Yonny knew this name well. He immediately asked, “Why are you calling me?”

Lucian explained what happened to him.

Yonny paused for a moment and said, “Mr. Lucian, calm down. I’ll go and take a look and see what Jordan is doing. Don’t worry, Mr. Lucian. I’ll deal with it.”

After calling Yonny, Lucian took Annie and Frank to Jordan’s office.

“Henry… Jackson…”

When Lucian saw the group of men sitting on the sofa in Jordan’s office, he knew something fishy was going on. He immediately realized that the 600–million–dollar vase was a trap.

“Henry, why are all of you here?” Lucian said with a gloomy face.

Henry lit a cigarette and said with a smile, “I’m here to participate in the auction. I came to visit Mr. Jordan’s office and came across such an interesting incident. Did you bring 600 million dollars?

“No!”

Lucian turned towards Jordan and said, “Mr. Jordan, where is the smashed vase? Show me.”

“We got rid of it. Why do you want to see it?” Jordan said fiercely, “Your wife’s mother broke my

how vase. As her son–in–law, shouldn’t you give us an explanation? Since you didn’t bring money, do you plan to settle this?”

“Tell me how you want me to settle this then.” Lucian chuckled. He knew this was a complicated incident because they got rid of an expensive vase too quickly. It was definitely a trap to fool Freya. In that case, Lucian was prepared to play along with them.

“I need to think about it,” Jordan said while looking at Lucian.

Then, Prince Harry, who was sitting beside them, said, “Mr. Jordan, since we are friends. Let me make a fair judgment. These poor people can’t pay 600 million dollars. Why don’t we let them go as long as the son–in–law agrees to break a limb of his?
