Chapter 52 Begging for Mercy

“Poison?” Dax was afraid, having just witnessed Austin’s medical skills. His voice trembled as he asked, “What kind of poison?”

Austin pulled out a black jade pendant and chuckled, “When this poison resurfaces, it feels like your body is being bitten by ten thousand ants. Only this jade pendant in my hand can treat it. If you ever dare to bully Lucian and Ms. Freya again, I’ll make sure you’re alive but itching to death.”

“You’re full of sh it!” Felix sneered, speaking up. “Just because you treated the Grim Reaper’s daughter like it was nothing, you think you’re a g od now? How could such a potent poison enter the body in such a short amount of time?”

“I don’t believe it either.” Nadine stood up from the ground, sneering, “You think you’re Zeus, able to poison someone with just a silver needle in their head? Stop boasting, you just treated a little girl, don’t get too co cky.”

The entire Harrison family didn’t believe him.

Even Freya, Annie, and Frank were skeptical. Could someone really get poisoned just by a silver needle in their head? It was all too fantastical for them to accept.

The group’s doubts gave Dax the courage to stand up and glare at Austin, cursing, “You little brat, you think you can poison me like this? Make me itch to death? Hahaha, that’s hilarious. Well, I want to see how you plan to make that happen.”

“Lucian, how about we make him itch a little beforehand?” Austin turned to Lucian and asked.

“I’m looking forward to it,” Lucian said with disdain for the old man Dax.

In the next moment, Austin’s face turned ice-cold, and he grinned as he brought a silver needle to Dax’s face. Without waiting for Dax’s reaction, he pressed two points on Dax’s chest with his fingers.

“Don’t you dare touch me!”

Dax pushed Austin away with disgust, then checked his own body and realized that nothing was wrong with him. It instantly dawned on him that Austin had been just bluffing and hadn’t actually poisoned him.

This made the others even more arrogant, convinced that they were right all along.

“Kid, take a good look. My Grandpa is perfectly fine. You were just blowing hot air.”

“Who do you think you are, some kind of go d? A single needle can poison someone? Hahaha, that’s ridiculous.”

“I knew it all along. This guy was just trying to impress us.”

Lucian, Freya, and the others also turned to look at Austin, their eyes filled with suspicion.

Did Austin really know what he was talking about, or was he just putting on a show?

As the group discussed, Dax suddenly felt itchiness all over his body. He couldn’t resist scratching himself, but the more he scratched, the more he itched. He realized that the itchiness wasn’t coming from his skin, but from within his body.

“Ah, ah, ah!”

The itching grew more intense, and eventually, Dax couldn’t bear it anymore. He fell to the ground with a loud thud, screaming in agony as he scratched at his body with increasing force. He even drew blood, but the itching wouldn’t go away.

The others were frightened.

“Old man, what’s happening to you?” Eleanor asked, crouching down beside him.

“It’s so itchy, so itchy…it’s killing me. Help me!” Dax roared, his face contorted with pain.

Suddenly, there was a buzz in the air. All eyes turned to Austin. They finally realized that Austin had truly poisoned Dax. At first, they didn’t believe that Austin had such a strange method, but now, everything was becoming clear.

The group was in disbelief, wondering who this guy was and what kind of dark magic he possessed.

Dax, regretting his earlier words, felt like thousands of ants were biting his insides. The itchiness was accompanied by a piercing pain, causing him to scream and beg for relief. “Please, have mercy! Make it stop, make it stop, I beg of you!”

Austin’s smirk only grew wider at Dax’s plea. “Didn’t you just say you wanted to scratch yourself to death? I’m just granting your wish.”

Dax could barely hold himself up and crawled towards Austin, begging for forgiveness. “I was wrong. Please forgive me, I beg of you.”

But Austin wasn’t going to let him off that easy. He turned his cold gaze towards the other members of the Harrison family and said, “And as for the rest of you, accusing me of being a fraud, if you want me to save him, have your descendant Lucian kneel and apologize.”

“Kneel down and apologize to this little ba s ta rd? Dream on!” Felix was the first to roar, his face filled with anger.

“Fine, no need to apologize. Then just watch your grandpa itch to death,” Austin sneered and turned around, ready to leave.

Dax was terrified and immediately stood up and slapped Felix in the face. He yelled, “All of you f uc king kneel down and apologize to me! I don’t want to be itched to death. Hurry up, or I’ll kick you out of the Harrison family!”

Dax’s outburst scared everyone, and they all knelt down to apologize to Lucian.

Lucian couldn’t be bothered to deal with Dax and his group. He said, “Enough, let him experience your skills and relieve his itching.”

Austin nodded and approached Dax with the jade pendant in hand. He gently placed the pendant on Dax’s head and within a short minute, the itchiness had subsided. Dax lay on the ground, gasping for air and with a vacant look in his eyes.

Lucian glanced over at Dax on the ground before turning his attention to the gifts. He carefully selected a bracelet worth several tens of thousands of dollars and presented it to Annie with a smile.

“Mom, this bracelet is really nice. It will look great on you,” he said.

“I don’t want it, I don’t need it,” Annie refused, saying, “This was a gift from the Grim Reapers. Why would I want it?”

“Hehehe, well, isn’t it mine technically yours, Mom?” Lucian didn’t take no for an answer and carefully helped Annie put on the bracelet, saying, “Look, it looks so

beautiful on you.”

Annie glanced down at the bracelet on her wrist and felt a genuine fondness for it. It was the only piece of jewelry she had left after selling everything she had owned to pay for Freya’s medical bills.

“Mom, I really want to thank you for today. You even kneeled before the Grim Reapers for me. Please promise me that you won’t do something as foolish again,” Lucian said, moved by his mother-in-law’s actions.

Annie clicked her tongue and retorted, “Who told you that I kneeled because of you? I only did it to protect my daughter from the Grim Reapers. Even if you were chopped into mincemeat, I wouldn’t feel sorry for you, you troublemaking jerk.”

Lucian chuckled and pointed to the mountain of gifts in front of them, “Hehe, Mom, all of these gifts are for you. We’ll keep what we need and sell what we don’t.”

The Harrison family watched with envy as they saw the gifts being loaded up and taken away. If they hadn’t pressured Lucian to divorce, they might have gotten a share of the gifts. But now they could only watch as even the packaging was taken

away.

Today, they had even bowed to Lucian twice, a shameful and humiliating experience for them.

Dax saw the group about to leave and immediately caught up, saying, “Fay, it’s all our fault today, but you can’t give up on the project because of this. Remember to come to work tomorrow.”

“Don’t worry, my career won’t be given up because of you guys,” Freya replied coldly, gesturing for Lucian to take her away.

The Harrison family breathed a sigh of relief at hearing that Freya wouldn’t give up on the project.

“Dad, what do we do about that guy’s poison on you?” Aaron suddenly remembered and rushed up to ask.

Hearing this, Dax’s eyes showed a hint of panic. He remembered the intense itching he had just experienced and felt a sense of dread. He didn’t want to experience it again in his lifetime. However, the method to detoxify was held by Austin. Was he

supposed to listen to Lucian and Austin?

“Old man, the world is vast and full of wonders. Since Austin has this medical skill, there must be others who possess it too,” Eleanor spoke up. “My father had a friend who’s now over 110 years old and still very healthy. He’s skilled in medicine and is a specialist in using unique medicinal bugs. Let’s go replace him and ask for his help.
