Chapter 70 Failed Public Listing
After Lucian was done making calls…
Soon, Horatio and the other presidents started receiving calls.
They were all either from employees or department heads, and all of them were talking about some kind of trouble with the company.
Some issues were even more severe than what Jackson faced.
Tax evasion, embezzlement of government funds, termination of partnerships, adultery, paternity fraud, and frozen assets. The list went on and on.
The presidents of the Big Five were realizing all the evil there was in the world and that they had lost everything they had in an instant.
In particular, Horatio’s involvement in a murder incident fifteen years ago was uncovered, with an airtight case already built against him. The police were hot on his heels, causing Horatio to break out in cold sweat. His legs went limp as he fell on the ground.
“Where is Horatio Turner?!”
Suddenly, several cops stormed the hall. They quickly found Horatio lying on the ground and apprehended him.
克
“You’re under arrest!” said the police as they cuffed him.

Feeling the chill of the handcuffs, Horatio started to panic. With a shrill voice, he yelled, “I’m not a murderer! It was an accident! Don’t arrest me, please! Don’t arrest me!”
“Tell that to the judge. Now move,” the police were completely unsympathetic to Horatio’s case, dragging him away as the crowd watched.
Seeing this, the crowd couldn’t contain their shock.
What the heck just happened? How did Lucian ruin all five presidents with a single phone call?Oh my god,
who is he?
The Harrison family was completely flabbergasted, covering their mouths as their bodies trembled uncontrollably. It was evident they were feeling intimidated.
Not just them, Drake, Martin and the entire Gray family were also taken aback!
The whole crowd was shocked, with each and everyone of them paralyzed in fear. Their breaths started to grow ragged as their terrified gazes were glued onto Lucian.

They thought he was just a discarded child who was exiled from his own family.
Nothing more than a retired soldier.
However, he was able to cause the Big Five to go bankrupt with a single phone call and even had Horatio arrested.
And with the Big Five officially bankrupt, how could the Gray Group possibly get publicly listed?
Henry was starting to panic and take rushed breaths. However, before he could speak, his phone started ringing. It was from the employee in Mabyrae who was in charge of applying for the listing of the company on the public market. Her frantic voice resounded, “Mr. Gray, I’ve got bad news. We’ve all been apprehended. We went through all the proper procedures, but the border guards keep saying that we have illegally trespassed and are going to charge us with a fifteen–year prison term. You have to save us.”
Soon after, another call came through.
“Mr. Gray, unfortunately the Gray Group has yet to satisfy the prerequisites for a public listing. Hence, your application has failed. Please continue to work hard.”
Henry’s heart sank when he got the call, vomiting out a mouthful of blood in his despair. He had prepared for the Gray Group to be publicly listed for years, but it all ended in failure in a single
moment.
He couldn’t accept such a result!
“I told you, as long as I’m around, the Gray Group will never be publicly listed!”
Like a god, Lucian’s posture was overbearing as he continued, “I also remember giving you all the opportunity to prosper, but you chose to forfeit it all. Well, since you won’t recognize this kinship, then don’t blame me for being ruthless!”
The hall was filled with a deathly silence. The atmosphere was awkward as the crowd felt intimidated by Lucian’s overbearing aura.
The ones who had previously mocked Lucian were also holding their tongues.
In particular, the Harrison family thought that today would be Lucian’s day of reckoning. Little did they imagine he would single–handedly ruin the presidents of the Big Five and cause the public listing of the Gray Group to fail.
The sudden twist made it hard for many to believe it was all real.
Gareth held Henry up. He was also fuming with rage, pointing at Lucian as he yelled, “What the hell did you do?!“.
With hands behind his back, Lucian scanned the crowd like a predator marking its prey. Finally, he turned to Gareth and responded, “At this point, does it even matter what I did? Point is, I won and you lost!”
It finally dawned on everyone.
Yes, Lucian had faced the Big Five and the entire Gray Group all on his own. And he had won.
Henry had a blank look in his eyes like he had just lost everything. He had worked for so many years and laid down so many plans all for this one day. He thought that once Alexander was gone, he would be able to monopolize all of the Gray family. Little did he imagine that all his hard work would be brought to ruin by the son of that same Alexander.
The public listing Gray Group ended in failure!
Moreover, with the Big Five declaring bankruptcy, the Gray Group would not get another chance to be publicly listed for the next five years.
It was all over… everything was all over.
“I’m going to kill you!”
Henry completely lost it, pushing Gareth away as he charged at Lucian with bloodshot eyes. He swung at Lucian like a madman, but given his age, the speed of his right fist was inevitably slow.
Lucian turned slightly and dodged the attack, then grabbed Henry by the neck. His cold and devoid of any sentiment.

“Ahh!” Henry was lifted off his feet by Lucian, his face turning a bright red as he frantically flailed his legs and struggled for air.
“Lucian, stop!”
Gareth and the rest of the Gray family were horrified and quickly rushed forward to stop Lucian.
“Don’t move, or else I’ll kill this old bastard.”
Lucian sent the crowd a vicious glare, freezing them on the spot. They didn’t dare make any sudden movements.
The hall was silent except for the low rasping sound of Henry’s breathing. Everyone was staring at Lucian in horror. The fact that Lucian was able to easily subdue the Gray family and the Big Five was simply too shocking.
Who in the world was Lucian?
Lucian stared coldly at Henry and asked, “Answer me, Henry. Did you have anything to do with

my father’s death?”
“I don’t know. I don’t know anything about that,” Henry frantically replied.
“Is that so?”
A sudden wave of killing intent could be clearly felt coming from Lucian.
All the Gray family members started to panic. Gareth pointed at Lucian and yelled, “Lucian, we had nothing to do with your father’s death. Let go of your grandfather right now. You’ll go to hell if you kill your own kin.”
“I’m going to hell?”
Lucian turned to Gareth and asked, “If I’m going to hell for killing him, then where would he go for killing his own son?”
The crowd fell silent as a sense of guilt could be seen on their expressions.
Lucian noticed the change as well. He then knew that the Gray family definitely had something to do with his father’s death. He tossed Henry aside, the latter falling to the ground with a loud crash, and said coldly, “You can deny it all you want. I will reconduct my father’s funeral rites in another fifteen days. When that day comes, I want every single member of the Gray family kneel before my father’s grave and apologize. That includes the presidents from the Big Five. This is your final warning. I suggest you take it seriously! In addition, I will be taking back the entire Gray Group and the Big Five once everything is over. These all belong to my

my father.”
After his declaration, Lucian left while the crowd simply stood by and watched, unable to stop
him
Lucian’s actions had been too domineering and it paralyzed everyone in fear.
Lucian walked out of the hotel in good spirits. The first thing he wanted to do upon his return was complete. It was wishful thinking of the Gray family to think that they could get publicly listed while he was around. Just as Lucian was about to leave, his phone started to ring. It was from
Annie
“Lucian, you bastard. Fay went to beg Jared in order to save you, and now she can’t be reached at all.”
Annie’s panicked voice could be heard yelling, “If anything were to happen to Fay, I’ll never forgive you?
