Chapter 74 Lucian Imprisoned
Dax scoffed, “Hmph, if you don’t divorce him, I can’t help you. Just let Lucian go to prison then.”
Annie grabbed onto Freya’s arm and said, “Fay, let’s just focus on saving Lucian for now. Otherwise, given the Lisbon family’s influence, Lucian will surely be imprisoned for life. Let’s save Lucian first, okay?”
Frank echoed her sentiment, “Fay, let’s focus on rescuing Lucian for now. We can’t let him continue to sit in prison any longer.”
Even though her parents were trying to convince her, Freya was still adamant in her decision. Dax was a little anxious upon seeing this, so he quickly came up with a backup plan and brought Nadine away from the guest hall.
“Nadine, go prepare a set of divorce papers, forge Freya’s signature on it, then deliver it to the Lisbon family.”
Nadine was a little taken aback by Dax’s methods.
“Grandpa, you want me to forge her signature? Would that even be legally binding?” Nadine asked.
“Are you an idiot?” Dax scoffed. He continued, “Who cares if it’s legally binding? As long as we have a set of divorce papers, our Harrison family won’t have to suffer at the hands of the Lisbon family. Just do what I tell you to. Stop asking so many questions!”
“Okay, okay,” Nadine nodded, then left.
Soon, Nadine had forged Freya’s signature and signed the divorce papers.
After which, she left with Felix and Calvin to deliver the divorce papers to the Lisbon family.
“Mr. Mathias, Mr. Jared, Freya has signed the divorce papers. Once we have Lucian’s signature, the two of them will be officially divorced,” Nadine chuckled. However, there was a sense of guilt in her expression.
After reading through the divorce papers, both Mathias and Jared nodded their heads in satisfaction.
Jared stood up and said, “Dad, I’ll go to the police station right away and force Lucian to sign the divorce papers. Hahaha. I can’t wait to see the pitiful look on his face once he realizes he’s lost his lover and is going to prison for life. Hmph, that’s the price you pay for pis sing me off.”
“I’ll go with you too,” Mathias stood up and said. He continued, “You are still a youngster. Some things are better left for me to discuss with your Uncle Gary!” `

Meanwhile, in Sioux’s Fremont Police Department.
After Lucian was brought to the police station and made his call to Liam as requested, he was locked in the interrogation room on his own for an entire hour by deputy captain Fred Riordan.
After that, he slept.
At the moment, Fred was waiting for Jared right outside the entrance of the police station.
“Mr. Jared, you’re finally here,” Fred ran up to greet Jared as soon as he saw him. He said, “We have the brat detained in the interrogation room. He’s ready for you.”
Jared came down from his car with a group of people. He said, “Captain Riordan, I believe you’ve already received the relevant instructions from Deputy Chief Lynch. I might have to perform some rather questionable acts this time. I hope you know to keep the bystanders out of my personal space.”
Fred had only just found out about the deputy chief’s relationship to the Lisbon family. He nodded, “Mr. Jared, rest assured. In a few minutes, you and your men will be the only ones left inside the interrogation room with Lucian. As long as you don’t kill him, we’ll take care of everything else. After all, Lucian has no background to speak of and is just an exiled child. How can he possibly compare with you, Mr. Jared?”
“Hahahaha.”
Jared was greatly pleased by the flattery and said, “You’re absolutely right. As he is, Lucian does not have the qualifications to be spoken of in the same breath as me. To the Lisbon family, he is just a sad little bug. I can squash him whenever I feel like it.
With Fred leading the way, Jared and his group entered the interrogation room.
Fred quietly locked the door, then disappeared. He even ordered his subordinates not to act even if they were to hear any noises coming from the interrogation room, and threatened that they would be punished if they stuck their noses in.
The cops exchanged looks of pity with one another, realizing that Lucian was in for a bad time.
When Jared entered the interrogation room and saw that Lucian was sleeping, he started fuming with rage. He slammed his palm on the table and yelled, “So n of a bit ch, you’re quite bo ld to be able to sleep under such circumstances.”
Lucian opened his eyes and saw Jared’s face bandaged like a mummy. He snorted then closed his eyes and went back to sleep.
“Lucian, maybe you still don’t know, but Freya has filed for divorce.”
Jared sat on the chair and crossed his legs, acting as if he was a police officer. He placed the

divorce papers onto the table and continued, “Freya has already signed the divorce papers half an hour ago. Look, we just need your signature now.”
When he heard that Freya was filing for divorce, Lucian immediately opened his eyes. With a dark expression, he said, “That’s bull sh it. Why would Freya ever want to break off our marriage?”
Jared gestured to one of his lackeys, who then brought the divorce papers over to Lucian.
His expression grew darker as he read through the contents, unable to believe that Freya would ever file for divorce with him. However, when he saw the signature on the file, Lucian couldn’t help but laugh!
It wasn’t Freya’s signature at all. It was a forgery.
He knew that Freya would never want to divorce him!
Jared chuckled, “Believe me now? Freya was the one who asked me to bring this to you. She’s already getting ready to leave you and jump into my arms. Now sign the divorce papers immediately. Otherwise, I’ll have you killed right here and now.”
“So you plan to assault someone in a police station? Do you really think you can subvert the law as you please?” Lucian stared coldly at Jared and asked.
Jared leaned in and laughed, “Hehehe. I don’t mind telling you. Even if I were to kill you today, the police won’t do a single thing. My dad and Deputy Chief Lynch are great friends. He’s already given the order that no matter what happens in this interrogation room, no one is allowed to come in. That means even if I beat you to death, nothing is going to happen to me. Do you believe me?”
As he said this, Jared’s lackeys slowly surrounded Lucian and trapped him in the center.
They were too audacious.
Lucian was trembling. He couldn’t believe that the police department of a small city like Sioux was so corrupt that they would collude with the local families to take advantage of normal civilians. If it was a normal salaried worker that was caught today and not him, wouldn’t they have to be subjected to this horrible treatment without justification?
“Are you scared, Lucian?”
Jared assumed Lucian was trembling out of fear and couldn’t help laughing out loud. He said, “Oh wow, I can’t believe the son of the prestigious Gray family is so scared of me that he’s trembling. What happened to that haughty demeanor of yours? As I thought, without your father, you’re nothing more than a worthless piece of trash.”
Lucian looked up at Jared and asked, “You said that no matter what happens in this interrogation room, no cops are going to come?”

“Of course, my father specifically instructed Deputy Chief Lynch to make it so.”
Jared smugly said, “As long as you don’t sign the divorce papers, you’re in for a world of pain. Are
you
familiar with the guys behind me? They’re all hired muscle that I’ve spent quite a hefty sum on to bring here.”
“Then are you familiar with the fact that I was a soldier for seven years?” Lucian asked Jared.
“I don’t care if you were a soldier for fifty years,” Jared replied. He scoffed, “I know you’re good in a fight, but both your hands and legs are bound right now. You’re nothing more than a piece of meat on the chopping block. You can’t put up any resistance at all. What good are your fighting skills now?”
“Mr. Jared, let’s not mince words with this brat. We’ll first teach him a lesson of pain.”
“Yeah, this brat has some grit, but once we’re done with him, he’ll sign the divorce papers like a good little puppy.”
The men behind Jared cracked their knuckles in anticipation.
Jared felt like a judge who held Lucian’s life in the palm of his hands. With a devious laugh, he scoffed at Lucian, “Oh you’re glaring at me. I’m sure you must want to kill me. Unfortunately, the society we live in sways to the whims of the influential. That means little bugs like you don’t decide anything. Even if I just stand right here, what can you do to me? I dare you to try and hit me.”

Just as Jared had finished speaking, a strange noise echoed across the quiet interrogation room.
Jared quickly sensed something was wrong and looked towards Lucian, only to replace that the cuffs around his arms and legs had been taken off…
