A Relentless Pursuit for Love -
Chapter 32
Chapter 31
“Tum it off! Turn it off right now!"
Screaming at the top of her lungs, Sienna had finally lost her calm. Her bridesmaids stood by,playing the role of a bystander. They were secretly happy that Sienna had tripped over her ownarrogance.
The projector was turned off. The emcee was filled with panic by the number of unexpectedinterruptions.
“Jace, those photos are clearly edited. It's not me in the photos! Someone must be jealous that I'mmarrying you, and they must have set me up!”
Sienna looked terrified as she clutched Jace's arm. The crown sat askew on her head, and severalstrands of hair floated loosely around her. Her face, caked in heavy makeup, had turned as white asa sheet of paper.
Jace could tell if the photos had been edited. Even though he had a thousand questions, and hishead was filled with doubt, he was still concerned over Sienna's health.
“There now, you're already weak, and you should not let this worry you. Let's talk about this oncethe ceremony ends.”
Sienna immediately placed her hands on her stomach and bit her lips. Looking as if she was aboutto pass out any minute, she staggered weakly into Jace’s arms.
“Jace, I can't hold on any longer. Can you ask the emcee to hurry the ceremony?”
Sienna could not be bothered with going through with the ceremony any longer. All she wantedwas for the ceremony to be over without any further mishaps.
Jace signaled the emcee, and he skipped all the unnecessary parts of his speech, going straight tothe exchange of rings.
"Wait!"
Just when the ceremony was finally about to resume, it was interrupted again. Only this time, it wasnot Zachary, but Faye who had interrupted. Faye had picked up the papers that were scatteredabout the floor and had gone through the documents.
Unlike her short-tempered brother, Faye who was dressed in a beige dress walked toward Siennawith steady steps. In a firm voice, she said, “Miss Sienna, do you really have stomach cancer?”Sienna froze. When faced with Faye’s question, she looked as if she had been struck by lightning. As Faye was not equipped with a mic, only those who were on stage had heard her. The bridesmaidsstared at Sienna with eyes filled with doubt.
"Sienna, since when did you have gastric cancer? I thought you have anorexia?”
“Anorexia?” Jace furrowed his brows as he turned to look at Sienna and said, “Is it not stomachcancer?”
Sienna’s best friends and her fiance were saying different things. The emcee, who was caught in themiddle, looked flustered. He was unsure if the ceremony would continue.
Sooner or later, the truth would come to light.
Seeing how she was about to be exposed, Sienna was terrified and dismayed. It was as if everysingle interruption that had taken place had stripped off a piece of clothing, only ending once shewas naked and bare in front of her audience.
Sienna could not comprehend who was trying to get in her way.
“Jace,” grabbing onto Jace's arm tightly, Sienna said, “can we please finish the ceremony? I willexplain myself after this. I don’t want to be embarrassed in front of so many people. Please?”
Jace wore a serious and solemn expression on his face. He stared at the woman that he had adoredfor years with mixed feelings. For some reason, it was as if he did not know the woman in front ofhim anymore.
It was as if he felt nothing for her anymore.
Looking at the exchange of looks between Sienna and Jace in the video, Sage got up abruptly fromthe sofa. Luther was startled.
"What's wrong? Are you not watching anymore? But the show hasn't ended yet and there's moreafter this,”
Sage stormed into the bathroom, locked the door behind her, and started throwing punches in theair. She was furious.
She was so furious, and she could not understand why Jace Yuriel was so determined to marrysomeone like Sienna. Sage had desperately wanted to believe that Jace must have been blind to fallfor someone like Sienna.
Someone was knocking on the bathroom door. Sage growled, “I don’t want to watch it anymore!”Nevertheless, Luther opened the door with a serious look on his face. “We just heard that Jace'smother is now on the rooftop and is about to jump off the building.” “What did you say?”
Sage was flustered. Without any hesitation, she ran out of the bathroom.
Luther chased after her and yelled, “Don't tell me you're going to her now. It would take two tothree hours to drive from here to Nadeem City!”
“This concerns someone's life. Even if I have to fly, I willl”
The ceremony was in chaos.
The guests were clueless as to what was happening, and the ceremony came to a sudden halt. Thedoors to the hall had suddenly flew open and a gust of wind, bringing with it a pile of papers, filledthe hall.
