"What were you thinking? Why didn't you carry any of the important belongings and why didn't youscream for help when in danger?” Kane reprimanded Sage immediately while looking at Laura.

She sat on the couch and bit her nails. Laura thought Kane sounded just like her father.

Luther acted like a big brother and said to Sage, “You have to always be extra careful when you'reout. Look what you've gotten yourself into, you scared us to death!” Luther's eyes were

red.

While they all rushed to the scene and saw the explosion and the burnt car, the brothers wereterrified to death. As they already lost their mother, they could not afford to lose their precioussister as well.

Ross looked at her pale and lightly wounded face and announced, “You are to stay here for twoweeks. You're not allowed to go anywhere, you're grounded!”

“No way!"

Sage would rather die than be kept here.

Ross sternly said, “It's not up to you.” Sage panicked and said, “You can't make me!” Of course, it'sup to her. Sage was always free to make her moves.

“Fine, you wish to go against my orders?” Ross dug out his phone and called a foreign number,“Your sister won't take my advice. You talk to her.”

Sage had a bad feeling. Immediately, Ross brought his phone up to her ears, “Answer him yourself.”"Sage Norah.” A deep and low voice was heard from the phone.

Sage trembled and her face pale, she forcefully smiled and said, “Big brother...”

Jace raised his brows as he witnessed Sage's pale and terrified face. He couldn't believe that Sage isafraid of someone.

Not sure what was said to her, Sage looked down and said, “I'm wrong. I understand.”

Ross took over the phone and smirked, “I knew he was the only one you will listen to, you stubborngirl." Ross replied “Yes” to the phone and he passed it to Kane, “Your brother is looking for you.”"Me?" Kane pointed at himself and he looked a little worried. He cleared his throat and answeredthe phone, “Brother.” Laura looked at him curiously.

Not sure who was on the other side of the phone, but Kane was already cold sweating all over."Yes, I know. I'll take care of it immediately.” Kane put down the phone and passed it back to Ross.Sage felt guilty as she thought Kane got scolded because of her, but Kane asked her before shecould apologize, “Who was the one kidnapping you? Do you know?"

“No.” Sage shook her head and recalled his face, “He had a mustache on, and he was large

build. Those eyes..they were familiar but I couldn“t recognize them.”

Kane frowned and drowned in his thoughts.

Jace asked in a low voice, “What happened at the spring waters?” Luther couldn't help but ask Sage,"Yes, why were you girls fighting with a bunch of men all of the sudden and even got yourselveskidnapped?” Even Sage and Laura felt everything happened too quickly.
