Chapter 534

Chapter 534 Jace came to the Looming branch and was greeted by the lead investigator. “Wearing asuit on a hot day?”

When Cole met Jace, he immediately gave him a disgusted look. Jace saw the wrinkled and dirtywhite T-shirt on Cole and wondered how many days he had not bathed. He frowned staring at hisgreasy hair and his chin full of stubs. Jace asked Cole, “Did you fall into a pile of trash?”

Cole Jennex was part of Jace's circle in Nadeem City. He was acquainted with Jace as a childhoodfriend. Cole came from a privileged family and was fearless. He used to serve in the army for a shortwhile, but he could not join the special force Team Draco for various reasons. After a career change,he transferred and worked for public security.

Cole was the lead investigator , but he was not even wearing his uniform. He had a cigarettebetween his dry lips. He looked just like a street gangster if one ignored the Lorex watch and Ermanibelt around his waist.

Cole had successfully solved several major cases before and had many achievements under his belt.“Stop mentioning it. I was transferred to Lang City to work on a case. I just came back to NadeemCity. Before I could go take a bath and groom myself, this bombing case came.”

Cole came forward and inched closer to Jace. He pointed at his eyes and said, “Look at the darkcircles under my eyes. They're terrible...”

Jace was about to faint from the terrible smell that Cole reeked. He frowned and pushed him away.“Stay away from me!”

Cole looked hurt. “Are you pushing me away? We've been good friends for years, and you'redisgusted with me?”

Jace had a cold and withdrawn personality. He did not have many friends around. Most of themwere superficial friends. However, he was more than happy to have just Yoel and Cole around.

They had fun joking around, but they became serious when it came down to business.

Cole took Jace to the interrogation room. They stood outside and observed through the one waymirror wall. Contrary to Jace's expectations, Sienna did not look like a mess. Instead, she lookedgroomed and was dressed like a rich and powerful woman.

Sienna wore a bright crimson dress and a gold necklace on her neck. She wore a gold bracelet ofthe same style on her wrist and a very beautiful jade bracelet. She even had a sapphire ring on herlittle finger. It was dazzling.

Sienne used to have long and straight black hair, but she permed it into a mature hairstyle with bigand curly waves.

“Seriously? That's Sienna?”

Cole had known Sienna since she was a child. He was aware of her story with Jace too. Everyone intheir circle shared the same impression of her. They thought of her as an unattainable and graciouslady. Cole was the only one who felt that Sienna was very pretentious. Cole watched the eventsinvolving the licked candy and the spoilt watermelon. However, he never told Jace the truth becausehe wanted to protect Jace's pride. He never approved of Jace's feelings for Sienna and laterdistanced himself from Jace because of Sienna. After Jace completely parted ways with Sienna, hehappened to meet Cole in a bar one time. They drank and talked about the things back then andfinally mended their relationship. They were still friends after all the hardships and forgot theirgrudge with just a smile. Cole had not seen Sienna for a long time and could barely recognize her."Why is she dressed like she’s going to a club?” Cole frowned and turned to Jace. Jace's faceremained blankly inscrutable . He asked in a low voice, “How's the progress? Did you replace out who'sbehind it?” The police officer next to them turned to Cole. Cole puffed out smoke and said, “Whatare you looking at me for? Just tell him.” The police officer said with a frown, “She's not verycooperative. She's very arrogant too.”

Jace knitted his brows heavily.

“Holy cr*p! Why is she so arrogant?!”

In the ward, Luther watched Sienna’s interrogation on the surveillance video and cursed.

He did not have to mind his language without his brothers around. He could curse whatever hewanted

Sage stared at the screen with focused eyes. She watched Sienna occasionally show off her braceletand ring on her hand or casually rub the gold necklace on her neck...

Sienna was so full of herself. She had that look of someone wanting to look filthy rich and portrayedit well. It seemed like that man had given her enough benefits to make her take his side and speakin his favor,
