Chapter 547 Laura kept her eyes on Kane. Still confused, she asked, “I thought dating it's supposedto involve both parties? Since when does dating only need one person's approval?”

Laura was confused. Kane nodded. “It's what the youngsters do these days.”

To prove that she was still young, Laura tried to convince herself that Kane made sense.

Yoel, on the other hand, found Kane ridiculous.

Laura turned her head abruptly to look at Kane. “Are you gay?” “Of course not! Don't listen to hisnonsense!”

Kane then glared at Yoel, seething, “Do you have a death wish?”

“Uh, no.”

Yoel added nonchalantly, “But if you wish to win over Laura, you better mind your manner whenyou're with me. After all, I have a bag of all your dirty little secrets.”

Kane simmered in anger. Yoel was unfazed.

It looked as if a fight was about to break out. “Are you guys about to fight? Give me a sec, let memove further away.” Laura got up onto her feet and walked toward a corner that was further awayfrom where Kane and Yoel were. Squatting down with her back leaned against the wall, she thensaid to them,” Alright, you can start now.”

Yoel was confused.

Kane arched his brows.

Seeing how the guys did not move, Laura asked, “Do you need me to count?” Clearing her throat,she started counting down, “Three, two, one... start!”

He concluded that Laura had one or two screws loose in the head

Sage realized that the Yuriels were all present in Jace's ward. And the moment she stepped footinside, she was welcomed warmly by the family.

"Sage sweetie!”

Jace's grandmother held her hand and walked her inside and sat her down on a chair. “Come onnow, have a seat here.”

Smiling, Sage was rather flattered by their warm welcome.

As soon as she sat down, Sage’s eyes met Jace's. His head was bandaged to prevent any infection.His good looks still shone through the bandages. It was that gorgeous face of his that Sage fellhead over heels for him. Sage believed that it was love at first sight.

If Jace were not as good-looking as he was, Sage would not have fallen so hard for him and the restthat followed would not have happened.

"How do you feel?” Sage asked flatly.

Moving his dry and chapped lips, he responded, “Not bad. Just a bit dizzy.”

"You've just undergone a big surgery and you'd still need time to recover. Normally, you feel dizzynow. Get more rest and try not to have so many people crowded in the room.” The Yuriels allnodded their heads. “Of course, of course. We're about to leave. We'll take turns to keep himcompany.” Sage nodded. She then informed Jace about other things that he should take note of.Everyone in the room listened intently as Sage spoke. They were once again amazed by the fact thatSage was a doctor. “Sage, you're amazing! How do you know everything?” Zachary had a look ofadmiration on his face. “If I ever get into a medical school, I'll want you to be my teacher.” Jace'suncle slapped his son's head lightly and said, “Oh please, Son. Don't embarrass yourself. With thatslow brain of yours, do you think that Sage would take you in?” Everyone burst into laughter. Sagelooked at Zachary who was embarrassed and smiled.

“That is all for now. I'll take my leave now.”

Sage got up from the chair and Jace grabbed her by her wrist. “Don’t go.”
