Sage was amused to see how desperate Kane was. Kane's eyes were burning with the desire to hintat Sage for allowing Laura to stay with them. She looked at Laura and asked, “You don't need to goback to Gemfield?"

Laura answered, “My parents keep setting up blind dates for me. Just thinking about it makes myhead hurt. It's best to just avoid it by any means I can. Let me take shelter at your place.”

“It's not a biggie, but I don't have that much free time on hand to accompany you...” Sage saidLaura waved her hand dashingly and said, “It's okay. There are so many fun and attractive places inSalem City. I can entertain myself.”

“I'm worried about leaving you alone.” After deep consideration, Sage looked at Kane and asked,“Kane, do you have anything urgent to do? If not, can you please take care of Laura for me?”

Kane looked indifferent and acted like he was not happy with the arrangement but had to agreewith it because it was Sage’s request and said, “I guess I can.”

Laura could feel that Kane was unwilling, and so she rejected him since she did not want to troubleKane. “There's no need to trouble Kane. If I really need someone to accompany me, Yoel is around.He can bring me out to have fun.”

Despite feeling the hostility from Kane, Yoel was not afraid to make matters worse. He smiled andsaid, “Sure thing.”

Sage looked at him while feeling speechless. This guy is really a trouble maker. He is going to get abeating from Kane soon.’

The private jet was already standing by at the airport. There were a lot of people heading back toSalem City this time around. Kane, Luther, Laura, Yoel, Leah, Hunter, Louis, and a team ofbodyguards followed closely behind Sage, awe-inspiring. They managed to capture many people'sattention because they were made out of a group of handsome men and pretty women.

Before they boarded the plane, Sage took extra caution and asked her men to check the jet planeagain to ensure no one did anything to the plane. Only after that, did they board the plane whenshe was assured the plane was safe.

Her enemy was a snake in the grass while she was an open target to the enemy. Jekyll was adangerous man, and no one could predict what he would do next. Hence, it was better to take extraprecautions.

At the same time, a man entered business class under the accompaniment of a group of people atNadeem City Train Station. He was wearing black casual wear with a black mask and black cap. Oncehe sat down, Zayne immediately came and reported, “Mister Jace, Miss Sage’s jet plane had takenoff.”

"Okay," Jace answered plainly. He took off his mask and disclosed his handsome face. It was slightlypale.

Zayne passed him a glass of water and asked worriedly, “Can your body withstand the travel?”

Jace drank the water and said, “I'm fine.”

Although Nadeem City and Salem City were only separated by a river, the travel time between airand train was huge. The travel time by train required nearly three hours because the railway wasbuilt around the river.

If Jace did not just have cranial surgery and were not allowed to travel by air, they would nevertravel by train. Most importantly, Jace sneaked out of the hospital. Zayne lamented in his heart,“Mister Jace is really risking his life just to spend Valentine's day with Miss Sage!"

Zayne answered a call and then reported back to Jace. He told Jace that Sage had employed ananny to take care of Elder Norah and Mendoza. In addition, she had delivered a carton of cash topay for the accommodation fee.

Jace frowned and asked, “Did my teacher accept it?”

“He didn't want it in the first place, but for some reason, he accepted it.”

Jace looked at the pile of green and frowned again.

Jace tilted his head and looked at him. “Do you think she will hire you even if you want to job hop?”Zayne was speechless.
