Chapter 569 “I really do think Miss Sage is a nice person, but she has a big temper, and her desire toseek revenge is very strong. So it's better that I stay out of her way and avoid offending her,’ Hunterthought.

When Jace reached the hospital , he was really very obedient. He did everything he was told,including changing to a hospital gown and having a full body check-up. Although he lookedindifferent and cool, he was not rude and arrogant. Most importantly, he really looked veryhandsome even when he was bald. The female nurses were so fascinated by him

After his check-up, all of the female nurses fought with each other like they were a bunch ofshoppers scrambling during the Black Friday sales when Jace was about to get his anti inflammatoryshot on his buttock.

"Me!"

"Head nurse, I'll do it!"

“I should be the one who does it since it is such a difficult task. No one else can do it other thanme!”

Everyone wanted to be the one who helped Jace with the shot. Since they could not touch it,jabbing it would be the second-best choice.

Since the nurses were about to scratch each other's faces, the surgical doctor waved his hand andshattered their dreams. “I'll do it myself.”

The nurses glared at the surgical doctor, who walked into the ward majestically with his bald headand sighed together. “What a waste!”

Ever since he started to remember the things happening around him, Jace had never got a jab in hisbuttock. He was very puzzled by it.

“What shots is this?"

Dr. Wagner said indifferently with his mask covering his face, “Anti-inflammatory shot.” Jace lookedat the sharp needle and felt something get stuck in his throat. He asked, “Do I really need this?"“Yes.” Dr. Wagner's voice was a bit unnatural, and his forehead was sweating. “An order from MissNorah.”

Jace raised his head and looked at Dr. Wagner with his dark eyes. Zayne tried really hard not tolaugh. He said, “Mister Jace, is Miss Sage pranking you?”

Jace pressed his lips and looked wrong. After a while, he turned. His hands reached his pants, andhe was about to pull them down. The needle on Dr. Wagner's hand kept on shaking nonstop. Heaimed at Jace's back and took the courage to jab it. Just before he jabbed it, the door was opened,and someone shouted out loud. “Stop!” A pair of sunglasses flew toward Dr. Wagner's face; at thesame time, his hand was grabbed.

Sage and Jace had acted almost simultaneously. Before Dr. Wagner could react, the needle wasbeing taken away, and Jace chopped the back of his neck. Dr. Wagner ended up kneeling on thefloor. At the same time, Sage barged in like a strong wind and put Dr. Wagner down with a kick.The nurses who were waiting outside saw it, and all of them exclaimed with shocks. Hunter wasquick to respond by closing the door and letting the bodyguards guarding the door disallowanyone to enter.

It all happened so fast that no one was able to react. Zayne was totally spooked and did not knowwhat had happened. However, his instinct told him that there was something wrong with Dr.Wagner.

Dr. Wagner failed to get out after struggling for a while. His glasses had swung to the far side of theroom. He had to stretch his hand out to get it and put it back. His face was looking very terrible, andhe started to reprimand, “I was just giving the patient a shot. What are you trying to do? Are youtrying to cause trouble?” Jace laughed coldly and said, “Then why is your hand shaking?” “Don't tryto make any false accusation.”

Sage picked up the sunglasses from the floor. She stood there while looking down arrogantly andcoldly at Dr. Wagner.

"Who was the one who ordered you to give this shot? Tell me, Dr. Wagner.” Dr. Wagner's faceturned pale. His bald head was looking even blader from the sweat.
