The car window vibrated and shattered into pieces. The shattering sound shocked the driver and henearly lost control of the car. Hunter was so shocked that his eyes widened. At that moment, therewas no sound coming from the other side of the phone and the world seemed to be silent.

After a while, Sage could hear the busy tone on the phone. She tried to call back, but it was a noneexisting number.

“Damn it!" She threw the phone on the car seat and cut her hand with the shattered glass. Bloodstarted gushing out.

“Miss Sage!” Hunter saw it and immediately unbuckled his safety belt and moved from the frontpassenger seat to the back seat without asking the driver to stop the car. He took out the brokenglass, and took out the first aid kit to disinfect and wrap up the wound. His heart was poundingstrongly. He did not dare to look at Sage's face.
