Chapter 595 Were they even close? Jekyll did not replace this outrageous at all. He smirked andsuggested, “I think I'm better than your ex-husband anyway. I've sharpened my skills fromexperiences.” A sickening taste swelled up in her stomach. Sage resisted the urge to vomit andslammed on the accelerator.

Jekyll looked at the rapidly passing scenery and narrowed his eyes. “You're just a woman. How areyou so brave? Are you not afraid of death?”

"How can anyone not be afraid of death?”. Sage held the steering wheel and speeded quickly. Shedrove fast but not steady. She almost hit the railing several times. If she could not brake in time, thewhole car would fall just like this.

Jekyll had never been on a roller coaster before, but he somehow felt like he was on top of one.Sage continued, “But I'm afraid of dying meaninglessly.” Sages voice was icy. “My parents, forexample, were killed on the elevated highway like these. Their bodies were burnt, and they died, leaving no corpse behind.” Then, she glanced at the night in front of her with a cold smile. "Hey,Mister Jekyll. Do you think I can meet my parents again if we die here?” Thank you, Salem City, forthe traffic. Jace arrived at the racing circuit as fast as he could, but Sage and the rest were nowhereto be seen.

He called Laura, and Laura roared, “We're chasing them, but we can't keep up with Sage. She'sgetting further away. I think she’s going to Riverside City.” Riverside City, Riverside City... Jace calledYoel immediately. “Send someone to Tane Mountain South Bridge now. Near the intersection point.Jekyll got into Sages car!”

Jace hung up the phone and pulled up a map of Tane Mountain Highway. He tried to determinewhere Sage was leaving and settled on a coordinate.

In a deep voice, he ordered the subordinates that came with him, “We'll split up into threedirections. No matter which way we go, if we run into Jekyll, just beat and kill him! I'll bear theresponsibilities!”

Then, he got into the car again and flew off into the night with a swoosh.

“Sage, you must not let anything happen to you!’

Jekyll looked at Sage’s bloodthirsty face and remembered the time when she stabbed his heart withan iron wire. The cruel expression on her face was heartbreaking for him.

His deep eyes flickered a little, and he suddenly smiled. “Will you die with me?” “We're going to dieanyway. It doesn’t matter how we die.”

Sage turned to Jekyll and shifted her gaze at Jekyll's chest. She said with regret, “Back then, if youhad moved a little more, you would be dead.”

Jekyll was not angry to hear the regret in her words. He smiled instead. “Yeah. Back then, you killedme mercilessly. I regretted it too. You were just sixteen. If you were a little plumper, I would've madeyou my woman.”

The image of him pressing on her suddenly flashed before her eyes. The memories she had tried toforget came back to her, and a surge of anger hit her. Sage grabbed the steering wheel and made asharp turn. The car almost spun uncontrollably. Then, she hit the brakes hard.

Screech! A harsh screech sounded in the silent night. Finally, the car hit the railing due to inertia!Jekyll's seatbelt was unbuckled at some point. The roof was raised too. His body lurched forwarduncontrollably, hitting the glass hard.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

There were three loud bangs in a row.

The airbag in front of Sage was deployed. She fell on the steering wheel, injured. Blood wasdripping from the bad injury on her forehead. Meanwhile, Jekyll crashed into the glass, cracking theglass.

Blood was trickling down. Drip, drip.
