A Relentless Pursuit for Love -
Chapter 622
Chapter 622 “A queen?”
“I meant a king,” Sage corrected, “That is a complement!”
Tim's forehead smoothened out. He strode to the bar cabinet and took out two crystal glasses, poured the wine into the glasses, and waved to Sage for her to go over. “Come on, have a sip, warmit up.” “Alright.” Sage had always been a good baby sister in front of her brother. She would listen tojust everything he said. So she strode to the bar counter obediently.
Looking at the label on the body of the wine bottle, Sage took a sip of the wine, savored it, and said,“Tastes good, is this a new type of wine from the winery?”
Tim responded, "Hmmph.”
“Have you received the wine that Nigel and I sent to you?” Sage blinked her watery eyes, andlooked at Tim, “Have you tasted? How was it?"
Tim looked up and said, “Ordinary.”
Sage pouted, “It was a good wine! Your tongue must be faulty. Next time we will only send to Kane,Seth, and Luther, none for you anymore!” I
She was obviously annoyed. Tim puffed his cigar out again, raised his brows and said gently, “I willask the winery to brew thirty exact bottles of that bottle, enough?”.
Sage nodded in satisfaction, “Enough, enough,” She raised her glass and clinked lightly againstTim's, then grinned and said, “I knew you love me the most.” “I have no choice.” Tim said, “Spoilingthe baby sister is a family tradition.” Sage laughed.
Sage felt warmer after the alcohol. Her brown eyes started to blur out, her fair skin started to blush, plus the tiny mole under her eye, she looked adorable and delicate. She saw Tim lighting anothercigar immediately after he finished the earlier one, and frowned in disapproval. “Tim...” Shecomplained softly, “Smoking is not good for your health, you should smoke less.” Tim looked upslightly, and had his emotions hidden in the wafting smokes. He said lightly,” Family tradition, can’tquit.” “Since when did we have so many family traditions?” Sage was unsatisfied, “No wonder Sofiaused to say that the mists above Birmingham's land, are smokes puffed out by the Shelbys. Youpromised her you will quit.”
Tim looked down, the lashes above his blue eyes fluttered once lightly, his fingers pinching one endof his cigar. The stars were shining quietly in the sky, like the lights in his eyes. The world paused fora moment in this silence.
“Yes.” His deep voice said. He casted his gaze to an oil painting on the wall, it was a painting of twobeautiful ladies.
Two angel-like ladies. Twenty-year-old Sage, and twenty-five year old Sophia. His sister and his...late wife. Tim looked at that beautiful, demure, dainty little face, her eyes were blue like the ocean, her gaze so deep he always found himself getting lost in it.
"However, she is not around anymore, is she?” His dry voice sounded as though it was forced outfrom his chest, making people sad just by hearing it.
“I miss Fia.” Sage looked at the demure, loving lady in the oil painting and asked, “Tim, do you missher?”
"Every day, every second.”
Tim puffed on his cigar again, “I can't stop missing her if I don’t smoke. However, if I smoke, I missher even more.”
