A Relentless Pursuit for Love -
Chapter 655
Chapter 655
Jace decided to do it.
He took out a piece of paper, opened his pen cap, and started scribbling under the warm, dim lightHe found it hard to stop writing once he had begun. There were too many things he wanted to sayto Sage...
The sun was up by the time he had done writing
At the end of the letter, he signed his full name at the right bottom corner and sealed it off with theRose Stamp.
He smiled lightly as he listed the letter to fold it in half and slipped them into an envelope
The last word of the song trailed off as the piano and guitar came to a stop,
Sage had fallen deep into the song and did not react for a brief moment before realizing that thesong had ended.
“I want more. Can you do it again?”
Sage pointed her index finger up and begged for the brothers to perform one more time.
Tim did not entertain her at all and closed the lid of the piano in an instant, “If you don't stopplaying, the old man’s going to come outside with a stick.”
"Godfather will never scold me,” said Sage.
Indeed, Senior Shelby would only scold the two brothers.
Seth put the guitar down, knocked Sage's head lightly with his knuckle, and said, “Dont get tooahead of yourself.”
“That was amazing.” Sage was still thinking about the performance. “We all have the same mother. Why am I the only tone-deaf one? It's fine if I can't play any instruments, but why
can't I at least be able to sing?”
Sage wanted to hit her own head every time she heard her brothers perform.
"We've been wondering the same thing for a long time,” Seth said. He laughed lightly,” You're apretty smart kid. Why weren“t you able to understand a simple staff that consists of five horizontallines?” he said as he rubbed Sage’s head.
Sage glared at him defeatedly.
Tim then recited a line in Yathenese, “When God shuts a door, another window opens. I guess the“door’ that was shut was your musical abilities.”
Sage's father had explained that to her when she was younger, but she still felt it unfair. “Whatever.”Sage waved her hand and said, “You guys can be the singer whilst I be the audience.”
Sage looked at her two handsome brothers. She snickered with her palms on her face and said, “It'stimes like this that I realize how impressive mother was. All of her children turned out to
be so smart and beautiful.”
“Yeah.” Seth said, “If it weren't for mother's strong genes, she wouldn't have gotten so muchunwanted attention from envious people.” That sentence stabbed through all of their hearts like asharp blade.
Tim said, “I think the most impressive thing our mother had ever done was to locate all of us andunite the siblings.”
“l agree.”
Sage laughed happily and said, “The best thing I was given in this life is my precious brothers. Don'tyou feel the same having a sister like me?” Seth thought for a brief moment before saying, “It'salright.”
Tim said, “Not really.”
Sage was at a loss for words.
"Hey!" Sage called out angrily, “You have one last chance, or you're not going to bed tonight!”
"Of course, we're going to bed.” Seth looked at Tim and said, “It's getting late. Let's call it a night.”Tim hummed yes in response. The two brothers got up and headed straight into their bedroom.Sage chased over them angrily. “Hold up! Please elaborate on what you meant by “it's alright’ and“not really’. Am I that horrible of a sister?”
"A little bit,” said Seth.
“Very much so,” said Tim. Do they have a death wish or something?
