Chapter 82

Sage shot a cold glance at the crowd, and everyone immediately stopped talking. The still silence inthe office was sliced by Sage’s stem order, “Get back to work.”

"Yes ma'am!”

Sage attended a meeting in the afternoon to discuss the ambassadors for the jewelry project.

Allan, the director of artist relations at Norah Entertainment, had prepared a presentation on the listof shortlisted artists. Sage went through the artists’ pictures while listening to the presentation. Allthe artists on the list were good-looking.

They looked even better than the influencers she had met at the charity event.

In the middle of the meeting, Luther called Sage.

“I'm still in a meeting. Talk to you in a bit.”

Just when she was about to hang up, Luther said in a rush, “It's nothing serious. Don't let thoseshameless b*tches get to you, leave them to me! I'll make sure they'll be sorry.”

Luther ended the call after rambling on furiously.

Sage was left feeling puzzled.

Hunter too had got off from a call. With a gloomy expression on his face, he walked over to Sageand whispered into her ears.

Sage furrowed her brows. After a few taps on her tablet, she realized that she was trending on socialmedia once again.

The charity dinner organized by Timeless Magazine was trending on almost every social mediaplatform. This was mostly due to the fact that the fans were supporting their favorite celebrities andidols that had attended the event, however, for transparency purposes, the articles also covered theitems that were on auction at the event, as well as the profit that the charity had accumulated. Therefore, it was natural that Sage’s Columbian Emerald Necklace was trending and Hunter's nameas well- for he was the highest bidder.

It was supposed to be an exclusive event for the socialites and celebrities to have a little fun witheach other. However, no one expected things to go out of hand

Sage was suddenly trending due to the several celebrities she had crossed paths with at the dinnerparty.

"Aren't these girls the ones that were bad-mouthing me last night? Those D-list celebrities that Isplashed red wine on.”

Sage had not recalled anything as she read through the list of unfamiliar names, but when she sawtheir pictures, she was reminded of those two ladies that had left a slight impression on her.

“That's them.”

Standing next to Sage, Hunter looked grave and serious, “Perhaps they were still offended by whathad happened and had decided t o team up to get their revenge. This is a mistake on my part. I willsettle this matter right now and have them remove the post.”

Sage skimmed through the post in order to see what the girls had said about her.

The post merely reflected how badly uneducated the girls were.

At least Sienna had been able to write a well-structured and readable post when she had tried todescribe the love that Jace and her had shared. These girls though had tons of grammatical errors, and they had plenty of punctuation errors as well.

“They are already accusing me of abusing my power and trampling on the weak. If we were todelete the post by force, that would just prove them right, wouldn't it?”

Sage stopped Hunter from doing anything.

The director of artist relations, Allan, was puzzled listening to their conversation. “What D-listcelebrities?”

Hunter glared at him. “As someone in the entertainment industry, you should know better, shouldn'tyou? Quickly look them up and see if you know them.”

Allan hurriedly reached for his phone. Anger coursed through as he read the accusatory post. Heslammed his fist on the table, shouting, “Are they out of their mind? How dare they accuse you thisway!"

Those celebrities and influencers had teamed up to accuse Sage of humiliating them in publicthrough her status as the CEO of Norah Group. They had detailed how she had thrown wine atthem, and how she had gotten them kicked out of the event.

Apart from the pictures of the wine-stained dresses, they had also uploaded a video of Sagesplashing them with her glass of wine.

They had cropped the video, making Sage look like an arrogant and aggressive woman. Looking ather swift movements, Sage thought that she looked somewhat graceful.
