Alpha Nicholas
Chapter 41 –

Alpha Nicholas

The lights go out and my heart rate instantly spikes because I know exactly who has caused this. "Tony stop!" I bellow across the room making mine and everyone else's heads spin from how hard my voice bounces off the walls. I grab Bonnie's hand next to me and instantly get angry at how hard she is shaking. "Will," I shout a little softer this time and he is instantly at my side. "Stay here, guard her with your life!" He nods as he walks to the other side of her.

One great thing about being a werewolf is being able to see in the dark and already the room is clearing up making this easier. Not that It would matter, as I've said before I know every inch of my pack lands inside and out and I know exactly where the switchboard is that Tony has used to shit off the lights.

"I've got her, go." Will grunts as he takes Bonnie's other hand. I'm glad he comforting her but it's hard not to want to rip his head off for touching my mate's hand. I place a swift kiss on Bonnie's head before taking off after Tony all while reminding myself and Storm that Bonnie is scared and Will is just comforting her. "Still wanna bite his ass!" Storm growls "Not now, Storm for fuck sake!" He grunts but finally shuts up just as I round the corner and replace Tony standing by the switchboard. I still don't know how he got out here without anyone noticing.

I slow down my steps as I approach him and feel my heart break for my best friend. He has a crazed look on his face but I don't miss the heartbreak in his eyes. It's a look I haven't seen on him since the day his Mate died and one I never wanted to see again. "I know brother, ok I know." His eyes shoot up to mine as if he didn't even hear me coming and it's worrying to know that his mind is so far gone that he can't even sense anyone approaching him. "What do you know?"

"I know that seeing her again must be fucking torture for you. I know you're feeling everything you felt that day all over again. I know that all you want to do right now is kill that bitch in there and I know you'll go through anyone you have to to do it." He seems surprised by my answer as if I don't know every little thing about him but then he nods as his shoulders slightly slump.

"I can't just do nothing, Nick. She took away my mate. She destroyed my life!"

"I know and I'm not telling you to do that, all I asking is you hold off for now at least." He goes to cut me off but I stop him. "I'm not saying forever but right now I need to speak to her. I need to know exactly why she's here. I need to..." I choke on my next words unable to get them out.

"You need to know if she is here for Bonnie?" I nod as I try to work through the shitstorm of emotions that I'm dealing with right now. "Shit, I'm sorry Nick. I didn't think... I... just... fuck!" He growls. I know he's feeling guilty right now but that's not what I want from him.

"Stop that right fucking now! I'm not here to guilt trip you but you know more than anyone how much I need to protect Bonnie from her and so I need all the information that I can get out of her." He nods his head but instead of looking at me, he looks down at the ground so I walk over to him and pull him in for a hug.

"I've got you, brother, everyone in that room, this pack even has your back including Bonnie." He finally looks up at me and seems surprised. "You told her?" He doesn't seem mad which I'm glad for. "I did brother, I had to... I" He holds up his hand stopping me from speaking. "I get it, she needs to know so she knows what she's dealing with and we need to know everything we can from that bitch so that we can protect her. I may have lost my girl but I'll be fucked if you will lose yours too because of that bastard!" A smile covers my face as he rants. Tony is back. He is no longer sad and mad he is now just mad and a mad Tony is a lethal Tony. "But Nick. She's not leaving here alive, right?"

"Dam right she ain't and when the time comes for her to meet her maker you will have the honor of ending her." He looks at me with shock but I don't understand why. Did he think that I wouldn't let him be the one to end her? "Thank you, brother." I can hear the emotion in his voice but I can also sense his need to keep that shit locked up so that he can be who he needs to be right now and that's fine with me. I already know that once this is all over he's going to need to grieve for Opal all over again and I will be there for him every step of the way.

"Let's go get that bitch talking." He grunts as he stomps past me and heads back towards the room that everyone is in. I quickly flip the lights back on and run after him more than eager to get things started. As I round the corner I see Tony approach Bonnie and once again feel a growl trying to escape from Storm. I keep walking until I am standing next to Bonnie and instantly want to jump for joy when she lets go of Will's hand and takes mine instead.

"How are you doing, Bonnie?" His words are calm and friendly and I appreciate it because I know how angry he is, and I also know how hard being gentle is for him right now but he's doing it for her. My mate gives him a warm smile and she keeps her eyes on him. "I'm fine, Tony but never mind me. How are you doing? I can't imagine how hard all of this is for you?" Her heart is too good for this world.

He shakes his head as he smiles and then looks at me. "She is way too good for your ass!" Chuckles bounce around the whole room while I nod agreeing. "I know she is but she is mine and I'm keeping her," I say as I let go of her hand and wrap my arm around her shoulders. "Don't I get a say?" My mate's sudden question brings more laughs while I feel confused. On one hand, I'm shocked at her bluntness in front of so many people but on the other hand, I'm incredibly proud of her for doing just that, for standing up for herself, and once again I replace it a turn-on.

"Yeah, she's a keeper!" Tony chuckles as he winks at her making Storm growl. "Oh pipe down, Storm. Bonnie and I are going to be great friends but that is all." Of course, Storm tries to growl some more but I shut his ass down before he can start any shit. I don't need his crap right now and neither does Tony.

"As much as I am enjoying this fucked up family moment can we get a shift on here and get me unchained so I can get going. I'm getting hungry and seriously fucking bored!" Hearing that prick's voice only stirs up Storm once more and it's clear to see that Tony and his wolf are right there with me.

Once again I hand Bonnie over to Will and step forward until I'm standing in front of her brother with Tony on one side of me and Shane on the other. "Do you seriously think that you are going to get out of here?" I watch as he goes slightly pale but soon covers it up as best he can but I can still see fear in his eyes and I'm glad for it. "Why wouldn't I be? I haven't done anything?"

So he's going to play that game? Oh, this is going to be fun!
