Chapter 11

I wake up in Malachi's arms. He held me all night and didn't even try anything because of whathappened with William. I turn and see Malachi still fast asleep. “He is so adorable.’ I think, admiringhis features. I don't want to wake him, so I get up slowly. I'm wearing some of his clothes he gaveme last night to sleep in, but I don't change. I walk through the door to go to the kitchen for somecoffee.

As I'm walking down the stairs, I hear laughter from the kitchen and as I enter, I look around to replaceAmelia and Paul. They turn my way. "Good morning, Chloe,” Amelia says, smiling. "Good morningyou two love birds,” I say. "Chloe, I'm sorry about last night,” Amelia tells me. "Amelia, don'tapologize; none of this was your fault. William was a psychopath, and he would have found mesomehow," I say, grabbing Amelia's hand to squeeze it. "I love you, Chloe. I was supposed to beprotecting you, and I failed,” she says with a tear running down her cheek as her head hangs withguilt.

Paul glances between us., "I'm going to let you girls talk," He says, kissing Amelia's cheek beforeswiftly walking out of the kitchen. "Amelia, I have to tell you something about William," I stategravely. "What is it?" she asks. "He was the father of Kali's baby. He knew who I was. He came herefrom New York to replace me,” I say, starting to cry. "Oh, no," she gasps. "What am I supposed to tellKali? I'm freaking out," I say. "You can't tell her anything Chloe. She can't know about my kind," sheexplains. "I know, but now she’s never going to have the chance of a happy life with the father ofher baby and it's all my fault” I cry with my own guilt coursing through my body.

"It's not your fault. He was a crazy person who was obsessed with you," she claims. I keep my eyeslooking down at the counter where my hands are fidgeting. "I need to call Kali," I say as I stand toleave the kitchen. Once I'm inside my room, I pull out my phone to call Kali. She answers right away."Aunt Chloe!" she says. "Kali, how are you doing?" I ask, trying to sound normal. “I'm doing so muchbetter. I took your advice and told my mom about the pregnancy. She wasn't even that upset. Shesaid she couldn't be mad at me for something that happened to her at my age,” she explains withrelief.

"I'm so glad she’s not mad. You don't need to be stressed; it's bad for the baby," I say just asMalachi walks, his eyes widening at the word baby. "Chloe, you're pregnant?!" he questions inshock, but I could see happiness shining in his eyes. "Kali, I have to go. I'll call you later. Love you!" Isay quickly and I hang up.

Malachi sat down next to me on the bed, patiently waiting for my answer. "No, Malachi. I'm notpregnant. We only started having sex a few days ago how could I be pregnant?” I laugh and helaughs too. "Sorry I got excited,” he admits, running his hand over the back of his neck. "Wait, youwant me to be pregnant?” I ask and watch him shrug his shoulders. "That is what our kind lives for.We replace our mates and make a family,” he says, smiling and my heart clenches as I imagine Malachiholding a baby.

With a sigh I explain the actual situation. "I'm sorry it's not me that's pregnant. It's my niece. She ispregnant with the child of that psycho from last night; he was stalking me because of some pictureshe saw on my sister's fireplace,” I say, and Malachi looks at me for a moment before he speaks. "I'mso glad

I got to you when I did," he says, more to himself. I can see the hurt in his eyes. I move myself ontohis lap and straddle him. He puts both his hands on my ass to hold me in place as I look into hiseyes. "You saved me, Malachi. Nothing else matters,” I tell him.

I lift my shirt over my head, revealing a white lace bra and he smirks when he looks down my bodythen up to meet my eyes. He grabs the back of my neck, pulling my hair only a little to give himmore space to plant his soft kisses, trailing them down to my breast. I exhale slowly at the sensationhis kisses spread over my skin, and then bring my gaze back to him.

I grab the bottom of his shirt and take it off, throwing it to the floor. Malachi stands with me stillstraddling him as I run my hand through his brown hair.

I let him put me down and stare at his body, taking my attention to the tattoo in the middle of hisstomach that shows his birth year. I lead him to the bed, and he lays back, propping himself up withhis elbows to keep his gaze on me. I spread his legs so I can fit my body between them and kneel,while my finger traces the tattoo that says 1994 on his torso. He shivers at my touch and he'salready hard as a rock. I trail soft kisses along that same tattoo, thanking the Moon Goddess forcreating such an exceptional creature. I unbuckle his pants and start to pull them down slowly whilehis heated gaze follows my every move.

I pull down his boxers, revealing his massive shaft, wasting no time in grabbing it firmly in my hand.Malachi throws his head back with a groan. I love the way he reacts to my touch, so I take him intomy mouth, sucking on the tip to start, then taking more of him, causing his breath to hitch in histhroat. I pick up the pace, and he moans deeply. I glance up to watch him and our eyes meet as Itake all of him in, the way he calls out my name makes me move faster and a few seconds later mymouth is filled with a warm, salty substance. I don't even bother to spit it out. I want all of him, so Iswallow.

Malachi looks at me and brings his thumb to my lips. "That was amazing,” He smiles, his chest risingfrom the excitement. "Malachi, you make me feel things I've never felt before. I don't ever want it toend.” I say. "l will never leave you, Luna,” he promises, picking me up to lay me on the bed. Hehovers over me before crashing his lips into mine in a passionate kiss. 1 pull away only for amoment. "Malachi?" I say quietly. "Yeah?" he responds, searching my features. "I love you too!” Iwhisper and when he hears those words, his eyes light up.

"Luna, you don't know how long I've been waiting for this," he says, resting his forehead against myown. We are quickly brought out of our little moment by Amelia swinging the door open. Malachigrabs the sheet to cover himself. "Hey, did you forget how to knock," I say laughing, but stop when Inotice her concerned expression.

"William is all over the news." she blurts out.
