Alpha Queen
Chapter 150- Epilogue

Liviana’s POV

Almost 15 years later…

“Mommy, Lucas is being annoying again” Liana complained.

It’s the 3rd time this night that he complained about his brother.

“I wasn’t even doing anything. You’re the annoying one” Lucas barked back.

They just don’t rest.

“Lucas and Liana, didn’t I ask you to behave? It’s your brother’s 18 birthday party. Can you please get along for the night atleast?” I said.

They both pouted.

Lucas and Liana are twins.

Lucas is only a few minutes older than Liana.

They turned 14 not too long ago.

Yes, they’re in their teens.

It’s probably the hardest phase in raising children.

They started shifting more than a year ago.

I’m lucky they don’t fight with each other in their wolf forms.

That would be extremely chaotic.

“You guys are giving mom a headache again” Luke suddenly appeared.

Liana pouted and Lucas stood tall in front of his big brother.

“Luke, Lucas is annoying me again” Liana started sucking up to his big brother.

Lucas glared at her.

“I wasn’t doing anything to you” Lucas denied.

Luke shook his head with a chuckle.

“You guys just don’t rest” Luke said.

Then, Luke looked around.

“Mom, where’s dad?” Luke asked curiously.

“He’s talking to your grandparents and uncles” I said and pointed to a table where Luan is.

He was having a chat with my parents and his cousins.

Luke nodded.

“How are you liking your party?” I asked him.

“It’s amazing, mom. Thank you” Luke said and planted a k**s on the top of my head.

I smiled.

I can’t believe that Luke is already 18 years old.

If he’s lucky, he’ll replace his mate soon.

If he’s even luckier, it’ll be someone who is the opposite of my 18 year old self.

The goddess know how much Luan struggled to win me over.

That was quite something.

It won’t be long till Lucas and Liana reach that age as well.

I’m not sure if I’m really ready for that.

It felt like yesterday that I gave birth to them.

I can’t believe they’re growing so fast.

All I can do now is guide them all throughout their journeys.

In 3 years, Luke might take over the throne.

He’s been preparing for it all his life.

I promised I’d guide him all throughout.

“I’ll excuse myself for a moment. I think I need some fresh air” I told my kids.

They nodded and each gave me k**s on the cheek.

I went to Luan first.

“Luan, I’m going out to get some air” I told him.

Luan looked at me a little worried.

“Why? Is everything okay?” he asked.

“Everything is fine. I just want to go out for a moment” I told him.

“Do you want me to go with you?” he asked.

I shook my head.

“It’s fine, really” I assured him.

Luan looked at me hesitantly.

“I’m fine” I told him.

He sighed and nodded.

Then, he gave me a peck on the lips.

“Don’t be gone too long” he told me.

I nodded.

I excused myself and went out of the palace.

I decided that I wanted to take a walk.

I’m still not the biggest fan of big parties, I guess.

I walked and walked until I reached a pond.

I went to the pond and walked on it.

Then, I stared at my reflection in the water.

Then, I stared at my reflection in the water.

The moon was shining beautifully.

But then, I suddenly felt sadness.

My reflection stared back at me.

It’s been how many years but I still looked like I haven’t aged a day.

Of course.

It’s not possible to age anymore.

I sighed as I looked up at the moon.

Is this really a gift or a punishment?

While everyone else around me aged, I didn’t.

I should look like I’m in my late 30s but I still look like I’m in in my mid 20s.

It felt like a curse.

Actually, it is a curse.

A curse that I had to bear for all eternity.

The curse of immortality.

For others, it’s a gift.

A blessing.

But to me, it wasn’t.

I’ll have to watch my loved ones age.

And eventually….die.

I’ll have to deal with it.

Because I can’t die or age while everyone else can.

It was a price I needed to pay after that day.

A tear fell from my eye but I quickly wiped it away with a sigh.

Then, I heard rustling.

I turned to look at the direction of the rustling and a girl suddenly came out of from the bushes.

I stared at her.

She lifted her head up and our eyes met.

Her eyes immediately widened in realization and bowed her head low.

“Your Highness” she said nervously.

I raised my brow a little looking at her.

She was well dressed with a bag in her hands.

She quickly tried to hide the bag but I already saw it.

“Look at me” I told her.

I saw her gulp as she lifted her head up to look at me.

My brows furrowed when I recognized her.

“Alissa” I muttered stunned.

She’s Axel’s daughter.

Step-daughter actually.

“What are you doing here?” I asked.

She gulped again.

“I…I was” she hesitated.

I sighed.

“Don’t lie to, Alissa. I hate it when people lie to me, remember?” I said.

She bit her lower l*p.

“I’m running away from home” she said honestly.

I was shocked but not surprised.

It was obvious.

But I didn’t know the reason so I didn’t assume immediately.

“May I ask why?” I asked her.

She looked at me with teary eyes.

“Come” I told her softly and made my way to her.

I sat down Alissa.

“What’s wrong?” I asked her as I wrapped my arm around her to give her a hug.

She suddenly burst into tears.

“I just want to leave and start a new life” she said sobbing.

I sighed.

“Are you not happy here?” I asked.

She shook her head.

“It’s not that” she said wiping her tears.

“I just don’t think that I can live my life as I want it to be here. I feel restricted all the time because of my parents. I’m sorry” she apologized.

I shook my head as I wiped her tears.

“It’s fine. You didn’t say anything wrong” I assured her.

“But you haven’t even turned 18 yet. Are you sure that this is what you want?” I asked her carefully.

She nodded.

I sighed.

“Let me see your bag” I said.

She looked at me confused but still gave me her bag.

I checked her bag.

“Wait for me here. Don’t leave until I come back. If you leave, I’ll hunt you down myself” I told her.

She gulped and nodded.

I quickly made my way back to the palace.

I went to different places in the palace to get things from here and there.

I even got money from my safe.

I put everything in a bag.

Then, I rushed back to where Alissa is.

She was patiently waiting for me by the pond.

Alissa gave me a confused look seeing me back with a bag.

“You can’t leave or survive with just that” I said and pointed to her bag.

I grabbed her bag and put it inside the bigger bag that I brought.

“I put in more things for you inside this bag. I also put in cash there. It won’t last you forever so you’ll need to figure out something at some point” I told her.

Alissa looked at me stunned.

“I know that you can handle yourself considering that you trained with the men all these years. I’ve seen you fight and you’re more than capable of handling yourself. Still, I want to remind you to be cautious at all times. It’s dangerous out there” I reminded her.

Alissa still looked at me confused.

I sighed.

“I understand what you want to do with your life. I get it. You want to be able to replace yourself. If this is what will help you, then I don’t think I have a say in it. It’s your life and not mine. But please be safe” I said.

Alissa hugged me.

“Thank you” she sobbed.

I caressed her back soothingly.

“My number is in the bag. I put in a separate money for you to buy a phone. I don’t expect you to call me every day or update me with your whereabouts. I only ask that you let me know that you are safe and well” I told her softly.

She nodded.

“Axel will despise me but I know that he shouldn’t stop you either. He’ll get over it eventually. Just don’t die. Please” I said.

Alissa slightly chuckled and nodded.

“Be well. Come back if you want to. You’re always welcome here” I told her.

Alissa smiled nodded.

“Thank you…your highness…aunt Livi” she said.

I smiled.

“I’ll wait for your update. Take care of yourself, Alissa” I said.

She nodded and hugged me again.

Then, I watched her walk away and disappear.

I sighed.

I’m sorry, Axel.

Atleast, I did something to help your daughter survive.

I made my way back to the palace.

The party was still on going.

Everyone greeted me every time they saw me.

I made my way to Luan and clung onto his arm with a sad expression.

“What’s wrong?” Luan asked worried.

I just shook my head.

I can’t tell him right now.

I kept thinking about Alissa.

She must’ve felt really restrained here to want to leave even before she turned 18.

Poor girl.

Suddenly, there was a commotion and I saw Luke make his way towards us.

His eyes were glowing and he rushed at me.

He sniffed and sniffed as his eyes widened.

My brows furrowed.

“What?” I said.

“Where is she, mom?” he asked.

I looked at him confused.

“Where is who?” I asked clueless.

“My mate. Her scent is on you , mom” he pointed out.

My eyes widened.

Oh no.
