Alpha Queen
Chapter 31

Liviana’s POV

It’s already the end of lunch but I still haven’t been able to reach out to Luan.

I understand that he’s possessive and territorial over me but it’s not like Blake is much of a threat.

One, he’s human.

Two, I’m werewolf.

Do I even have to continue?

My classes have already ended and he didn’t even attend our class together.

At this point, I’m just getting as pissed as him for not even letting me explain.

Not that I owe him an explanation.

But ugh!

I got out of my last class and saw Blake waiting for me outside.

“Hey. Are you going home? I didn’t see your motorbike so I figured you’d need a ride” he said. I was about to say something but…

“She doesn’t need a ride home, kid” Dante said and we both turned to look at him.

Blake looked at Dante with his brows furrowed and Dante raised a brow at him.

“Who’s this?” Blake asked as with brows furrowed at Dante.

Dante tilted his head to the side with an annoyed smirk.

“Who are YOU?” he said glaring at Blake now. I coughed to get their attention and they both looked at me.

“You’re both making me awfully uncomfortable so before you start lunging at each other, atleast talk first before starting a fight” I said as I rolled my eyes.

“This is Blake. He’s my friend since I was a kid. And Blake, this is Dante. He’s my dad’s brother and my uncle” I introduced them and Blake’s eyes widened.

“Dimitri had a brother?” he asked confused. I nodded.

Blake looked at Dante again and gulped nervously.

“Hello, s-sir. Sorry for that” he said nervously. Dante just stared at him blankly before looking at me.

His facial expression immediately changed when he faced me.

“Let’s go, princess” he said and took my bag. I nodded and waved goodbye to Blake.

Dante brought the car this time and he opened the shotgun seat door for me before getting in the driver’s seat and we drove off.

“I would appreciate it if you don’t try to fight almost every guy that I’m acquainted with” I said as we drove back home.

“I see every guy that breathes as a threat to you” he said with a shrug.

“You have trust issues” I stated. He chuckled.

“In fact, I do” he said and we both chuckled.

“Does he know that you’re a werewolf?” he asked suddenly.

“He found out not too long ago. His family knows too” I told him and he glanced at me with his brows furrowed.

“His family too?” he said. I nodded.

“His parents used to work for the pack house. I grew up with him and his sister but I wasn’t able to tell them about me being a werewolf out of choice but…things happened and I eventually had to tell him and his sister who is my bestfriend” I explained. He sighed.

“So you’re both very close?” he asked again.

“Yes. Very” I said.

“Who else are you friends with at school?” he asked curiously.

“Only Blake, Katie and El” I told him.

I have very few friends, yes.

“Does Grey go to the same school as you?” he asked further.

“He does. We have one class together” I told him and he frowned.

“What even brought him here in the first place?” he said both annoyed and frustrated.

It’s evident how uncomfortable he is with the mere existence of Luan.

And not to add the fact that he’s my mate.

I knew there was something more to it.

Something he’s not telling me.

“What if he actually knows who you’ve been from the start?” he said as he gripped the stirring wheel tighter.

“I would’ve known if he knew. I’m not stupid or naive” I told him and he sighed.

“That’s not my point, Liviana” he said almost apologetically.

“Can we just not talk about him?” I said and he sighed and nodded.

We arrived outside of the pack house and both got off and as soon as I got out, we both sensed outsiders inside the house.

Dante and I glanced at each other and he led the way inside of the house.

We both got in on high alert and in the living room I saw Alpha Trevor and Tyler.

They both stood up at both my scent and Dante’s and as soon as they saw Dante, they snapped.

They growled and snarled in a defensive position.

Edmond came out of the kitchen and immediately went between everyone. I massaged my temple annoyed.

“Sit down” I said to Alpha Trevor and Tyler before pulling Dante behind me. They looked absolutely confused.

“Liviana, that’s a hunter” Alpha Trevor snarled. I gave him a look.

“I said sit down. You’re in my home” I said in a low growl making the middle aged Alpha to submit to my order but not Tyler.

“I said sit down, Tyler. I don’t like repeating myself” I growled in my Alpha tone. He sat down but both of them kept glaring at Dante.

“Can you please go upstairs for a moment” I told Dante. He raised his brow at me.

“What? No” he said and my brows furrowed.

“I said go” I said sternly only making him frown.

“It’s okay, Dante. I’m staying here with her. You should listen to her” Edmond butt in.

Dante looked at Alpha Trevor and Tyler before looking at me again im disbelief.

“5 minutes, Liviana. I’m going back down again” he said before making his way upstairs. I sighed and massaged the bridge of my nose.

“Why do you have a hunter in your territory?” Tyler said. I looked at him and raised a brow then looked at Alpha Trevor and Edmond.

“Why are they here without my consent?” I asked Edmond. He looked at me apologetically.

“We couldn’t reach you earlier and thought it would be okay to let them in without your orders” he explained. I closed my eyes tightly and took a deep breath.

“Liviana—Alpha Liviana” Alpha Trevor corrected when I gave him a look.

“What brings the both of you here, Alpha Trevor?” I said as I made my way to stand in front of them.

Alpha Trevor looked at me then to where Dante left.

I raised a brow and snapped my fingers.

“Don’t look there. Look at me. I asked why you’re here without an advance notice because I’m clearly not pleased” I said crossing my arms in front of my chest.

The middle aged Alpha sighed.

“I’m sorry for the sudden visit, Alpha Liviana. We…we’ve encountered a problem in our pack territory and came to ask for help” Alpha Trevor said.

Of course.

“Okay, I will listen to your concern but know that I still do not acknowledge sudden visits like this” I said sternly.

“Why? Do you have other peculiar people in your territory like the werewolf hunter from earlier?” Tyler scoffed. I raised a brow at him and his father nudged him and gave him a warning look.

“I do not owe anyone an explanation about my people. Specially not you” I told him bluntly. He frowned at him.

I sighed and sat on the empty couch.

This is going to be a long one.

Theresa came out from the kitchen with some coffee.

Alpha Trevor briefed me of their pack’s situation.

It turns out that there had been multiple rogue invasion attempts in their territory.

It reminded me of that day with Ellie.

I didn’t think much of it until now.

My gut feeling is telling me that it’s all the same case.

Only it happened to my pack only once.

“How many times has it happened?” I asked as I took the last sip of my coffee.

“It has happened 4 times now” he said with a sigh.

“Have you called the other nearby packs to ask if it has happened to them as well?” I asked again. He nodded.

“I’ve asked 2 packs so far and they’ve experienced it atleast twice” he said. I nodded.

On cue, Dante came down with a blank expression and Alha Trevor and Tyler looked at him again.

Dante stood beside me with his arms crossed.

“This is Alpha Trevor Howl and his son, Tyler. Alpha this is…” I started and looked at Dante.

“Dante Crest” he finished it for me and I saw how the men’s eyes widened.

“You still remember that day with Ellie, right?” I asked him and ignored the other men.

“Of course” he said.

“The rogues you encountered that day. How many were they?” I asked him.

“A dozen, I think. I can be too sure because I effortlessly killed them all” he shrugged and glanced at Alpha Trevor and Tyler.

I know he was trying to intimidate them.

I shook my head slightly and held him by the jaw lightly so he would only focus on me.

“Tell us everything” I said. He raised a brow at me curiously then removed my hand on his face.

“Why? What’s happening?” he asked.

“There has been a series of rogue attacks in the neighboring packs” I told him.

“That’s why they’re here?” he said pointing to Alpha Trevor and Tyler. I nodded.

I immediately put down his pointed arm.

My own uncle is giving me a serious headache.

We talked about the details from that day and it had matched the incident from Alpha Trevor’s except the rogues that attack my pack territory couldn’t reach anyone to harm since Dante was present.

We only had the basic details of the case and would have to dig in deeper into it.

Right now, we were at a dead end.

What we knew for sure though is that it’s not a normal rogue attack.

We had finished up with briefing and agreed to meet with other Alpha’s from other neighboring packs regarding the matter.

Tyler did in fact kept staring at me most of the time he was there.

To which Dante seemed to notice as well and did not appreciate.

I personally saw Alpha Trevor Alpha and Tyler off with Dante and Edmond.

As soon as they were out of sight, Dante turned to me with a frown.

“Did you just send ME to my room earlier?” he said in disbelief and Edmond and I chuckled.

“We were all equally flustered with the situation. I didn’t want bloodshed in my living room” I simply said.

“As for the unauthorized visit” I said turning to Edmond. He lowered his head.

“I’m sorry, Alpha” he said and I sighed.

“Never again, Edmond” I told him and he nodded.

We walked back to the pack house together.

“Also, that kid with that Alpha keeps staring at you. The next time he does that, I’ll be sure to gouge his eyes out” Dante growled. I chuckled.

Luan would have felt the same.
