Alpha Queen
Chapter 55

Liviana’s POV

I refused to talk to even Luan’s wolf. I forced myself to wake up even before we got a chance to talk and I ended up not getting any sleep.

I went to school like a zombie.

I really need to pull myself together.

I attended my classes half asleep and even during lunch, I just slept in a vacant classroom while Katie ate beside me as I slept.

Good thing I didn’t end up in the forest or the meadow like last night.

I badly needed the rest.

“Livi, are you seriously okay?” Katie asked worried. I nodded weakly.

I look like crap.

I feel like crap.

“You look like you’re sick. Aren’t you feeling sick?” she asked and I shook my head.

I don’t feel sick.

I feel empty.

It was the stupid mate bond again.

“I’m feeling just fine, Katie” I assured her. Katie sighed and hugged me.

“It’s about Luan, isn’t it?” she whispered as she asked. I sighed and nodded.

“I knew it. What did he do?” she asked with her brows furrowed.

“He didn’t exactly do anything” I said as I looked out of the window in the classroom.

“Then what?” she asked curiously.

“Since that day when your brother and I talked and I ‘rejected’ him, I haven’t heard from Luan” I told her.

“Why?” she asked confused. I shrugged.

“I don’t know” I said.

“Have you tried reaching out to him?” she asked and I bit my lower l*p before sighing.

“Yes. I tried reaching out to him multiple times in our link but he completely shut me out” I said in disbelief.

“That stupid jerk. You rejected my brother because of him and now he ghosted you” Katie huffed.

“Let’s not say that I rejected your brother for him, okay? My pride can’t take it that I did such a thing for someone like him” I said with a frown and Katie laughed.

The bell rang and Katie and I went to our afternoon classes like usual.

I wasn’t as sleepy anymore but I wasn’t in the mood to listen either.

I’m bound to weaken from time to time because I can’t see Luan. It’s what the mate bond does. And I hate it. I hate it so much.

And I hate it even more because that empty feeling never seems to go away.

That longing feeling is still there.

And I’m so mad at myself that I let myself feel like this after meeting him.

I knew better.

Classes ended and I left some of my stuff in my locker before going home.

“Hey, cutie. Why didn’t I see you at lunch today?” Blake appeared as he put his arms around my shoulder.

“I dozed off during lunch” I said and closed my locker.

“Why? Are you having a hard time sleeping these days? Thinking about me aye?” he teased playfully. I chuckled.

“You wish” I smirked and he laughed. Then Katie appeared with a squeal as she clung onto my arm.

“I want to go to Livi’s house” she said to Blake.

“No problem. To Livi’s house it is” he said and they both giggled as they pulled me out of the school.

But then as soon as we got out, I saw him.

The man who kept popping in mind everyday for the last few weeks.

The reason why I feel so fcked up.

His brows furrowed when his eyes landed on Blake’s arm on my shoulder and I heard a low growl from him.

I frowned.

What the hell is he doing here now?

“Mate is back! Liviana, it’s mate! It’s mate!” Amaris said excitedly.

“Stop it, Amaris” I scolded her and she whimpered then went to the back of my mind again.

“We need to talk” Luan said.

“Why would I talk to you?” I said as I raised a brow at him.

Luan frowned.

“I’m not asking you to talk to me. It’s not a favor, Liviana. It’s an order from your superior” he hissed. I chuckled in disbelief.

“Superior huh” I said knowing all too well both our ranks.

I may not be the official princess but I know that the bloodline flowing through my veins are better than his.

He smirked in disbelief and started to approach me.

“You’re going to talk to me whether you like it or not” he said and held me wrist to pull me but Blake held my arm to stop him.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?!” Blake said with a frown.

“Let her go!” Luan growled at him. My b***d boiled in anger as I pulled my hand from Luan.

“Don’t you fcking growl at him” I warned as I stood between Luan and Blake.

Luan looked at me in disbelief.

“Protecting your weak human boyfriend huh” he scoffed and my brows furrowed.

“What?” I spat. Luan glared at me.

“I don’t like repeating myself, Liviana” he said with a frown. I chuckled in disbelief.

He must be out of his mind.

“You’re a fcking i***t” I said making him growl at me.

“You don’t have the right to tell me that” he said with gritted teeth.

“Why? Because you’re the prince? Grow up, Grey. I didn’t care then and I specially don’t care now. In other words, I don’t care about you” I said and he grabbed me by my arm tightly.

We glared at each other.

“Don’t test my patience, Liviana. You’re the one in the wrong here and you know it” he hissed at me.

“Am I really? I’m not the one who made false assumptions, Grey” I said.

“I saw you and heard your conversation with him. I’m not fcking stupid, Liviana. You asked for space just to be with that human. Why are you acting like I’m the one in the wrong?” he said as his grip tightened on me.

“If you weren’t so stupid, you would’ve asked what our conversation was really all about. But you didn’t. You left so easily not knowing what the truth was” I hissed at him and I saw confusion written all over his face.

“I thought you fcking changed for the better. I thought we actually stood a chance. But with this attitude of yours, you just proved to me that I was right for pushing you away all this time” I said and his eyes softened at my words.

“What do you mean, Liviana?” he said as his grip on me loosened.

“I don’t want to be your fcking mate. Fck the mate bond. Fck you!” I shouted and pushed him so he let go of me.

I passed him and quickly rode my motorbike then drove away.

I suddenly felt something wet on my face.

Tears.

I was shedding tears.

All because of him?

I sped up not knowing where I want to go.

I don’t want to go back home yet.

I didn’t want the others to see me like this.

I ended up in a random land. I knew it wasn’t anyone’s territory so I figured I could stay here for a moment while I collected myself.

I saw a lake and I sat beside it.

“You’re in my hangout”

I turned to look cautiously and saw Tyler Howl.

My brows furrowed.

“This isn’t anyone’s territory” I said.

“It isn’t but I have dibs on this place” he said with a shrug and I just shook my head in disbelief then sat back down.

“What are you doing so far out here?” he asked as he sat down a few feet away from me.

“It’s none of your business” I said blankly making him chuckle.

“Okay, miss Alpha. Sheesh” he chuckled and I ignored him.

“So, how are you doing with your mate?” he suddenly asked and I glared at him.

“Woah woah woah easy there. I was just asking since he basically stole you away from me when we were supposed to have our date” he said as he raised both of his hands.

I looked away with a frown.

“I don’t want to have to do anything about him anymore. Stop talking about him or I’ll literally bite your head off” I said making him chuckle.

“I see that you’re not in good terms. A lover’s quarrrel aye?” he said and I glared at him again.

Doesn’t he know when to stop?

“Do you have a death wish?” I warned him and he laughed.

“You’re not a savage, Crest. You’d only ever kill a fly if it tried to harm your pack” he said with a chuckle.

“How do you even know that?” I said and raised a brow at him.

“Oh please. You’re exactly like your father. Alpha Dimitri was known as that big bad Alpha you don’t want to mess with but deep inside, he wasn’t like the other Alphas who craved for power and b***d” he said.

I looked at him for a moment then our eyes met.

“I look up to your father more than I look up to mine. He was a great man and a great Aloha. I thought I’d let you know” he said softly.

I bit my lower l*p and looked away.

“Since when did we become close to be talking like this?” I said trying to hide the awkwardness I was feeling right now.

Tyler laughed.

“Since I found out that you need a company after your lover’s quarrel with your mate” he teased and I had enough as I pounced on him while he laughed his a** off.

“It was not a lover’s quarrel!” I shouted as he kept laughing at my hold.

This is driving me mad.

Ugh!
