Alpha Queen
Chapter 85

Liviana’s POV

“I’ll be bait” Dante suggested.

My brows furrowed.

“No. You will not be a ‘bait’ in this plan. I’m not going to risk it” I said firmly.

“Liviana, it’s the only way to make this plan work” he insisted.

I glared at him.

“It’s a no” I said.

Dante sighed.

“Liviana” he said softly as he took a step towards me.

I took a step back.

“NO!” I growled.

Dante stopped as he looked at me.

“I’m not going to risk your life to save my parents. I refuse to do what you want” I said as I clenched my fists.

“I can’t lose you so I can get them back. You’re all family. I’m not risking anyone’s life except mine if I have to” I said.

Dante’s brows furrowed.

“Liviana” he said in a stern voice.

I sighed.

“Let’s call it a day” I said and walked out.

I went to my room and plopped down the bed then buried my face into my pillow.

It’s been a few days since we returned from the palace.

We have since then been planning the escape plan to get Pa and King Kale out of there.

It hasn’t been easy.

There were a lot of loop holes in the plan.

A lot of risks.

And it would’ve been fine if it was just me involved.

But no.

My uncle was too.

We were able to acquire the visual of the palace premises because of Luan.

I ended up accessing his memories when he was sleeping.

As much as I hated using my ability on him, it couldn’t be helped.

We needed to know everything we must about the area of the palace to replace an escape route.

But we could only replace a few escape routes.

There was a lot of guards and warriors that roamed the premises.

There was a huge chance that we’d get caught.

There was a knock on the door and when it opened, I saw Luan.

“Hey” Luan greeted softly as he made his way to me.

“You haven’t had dinner yet” he said as he sat on my bedside.

“I’m not hungry” I said.

Luan frowned.

“You haven’t been eating well these days. What’s wrong?” Luan asked worried.

“I just…I don’t feel like eating” I lied.

I’m anxious.

Really really anxious.

“But you have to eat, baby” Luan cooed.

I cringed at him and chuckled.

Luan pouted and I rolled my eyes.

“Come on. Let’s get you something to eat” he said and I squeaked when he scooped me up the bed lifted me up bridal style.

“Luan!” I scolded but he only laughed.

I pouted and sighed.

Luan carried me out of my room and downstairs to the living room.

At this time, everyone has already gone to their rooms.

Luan put me down on a kitchen stool.

“I have legs, you know” I said with a chuckle.

Luan smiled.

“I know but you don’t need them when I’m around” he said and winked at me.

I chuckled.

What a show off.

Luan started taking out stuff and I looked at him with my brows furrowed.

“What are you going to do?” I asked.

Luan looked at me.

“I’m cooking you dinner” he said witj a shrug.

I burst out laughing.

Luan looked at me with his brows furrowed.

“What?” he asked annoyed.

I looked at him as I wiped my imaginary tears away.

“Cook? You? I doubt you’ve ever done such a thing” I said.

Luan frowned at me.

“I watched a few videos earlier. I’m a quick learner and I can do anything if I put my mind into it” he said determined.

I smiled.

He’s cute.

“All right. Tell me when I may be of assistance then” I offered.

Luan shook his head.

“I can do it by myself. I want you to just sit there and watch me” Luan said smugly.

I slightly smirked.

Uh-huh

It won’t be long till he actually asks for help.

I’m sure his majesty has never experienced how to cook and watching simple videos isn’t it.

I watched Luan as he struggled to figure out the ingredients but doesn’t bother to ask me anything.

“Need any help, your majesty?” I asked and he shook his head.

“No” he said and I just shrugged.

Fine, then.

From the ingredients he took out, I’m guessing he’s making me some mac and cheese.

Interesting.

I watched as Luan turned the stove on and started to heat some water then added the macaroni in the pot.

So far so good.

“You sure you’re not going to burn the pack house down, your majesty?” I teased.

Luan pouted at me.

“Have some faith in me, love” Luan said.

I chuckled.

“Fine. Fine. Fine” I said and kept quiet as Luan continued to cook.

I would only chuckle and laugh if there was something wrong and Luam would refuse my help.

After forever, he finally finished and served me his mac and cheese.

Luan handed me a spoon as he sat down beside me.

I tasted the mac and cheesed and froze.

I t tasted…

It tasted…

“How does it taste?” Luan asked hopeful.

“Mhm-hmm” I hummed refusing to swallow.

Luan grabbed the spoon from me and tasted his food with a hopeful smile on his face.

It immediately faded when he took a bit od his mac and cheese and he turned to me as he spit out his food.

“Baby, spit that out right now” he said frantically.

I shook my head.

I tried my best to convince myself to swallow it atleast.

“Baby, it tastes horrible. Spit it out” he sqid as he held my face and forced me to spit the food out.

I shook my head again.

Then, I swallowed.

“Liviana!” he scolded.

I tried not to barf amd forced a smile.

“Yum” I said.

Luan burst out laughing.

I stared as he laughed his a** off.

“Baby, you didn’t have to eat it” he said as he pulled me to his lap.

“You cooked for the first time. The least I can do is to actually eat it” I said.

Luan smiled as he turned me around to face him.

He tucked a lose strand of my hair behind my ear.

“You’re literally so cute” he said as he lightly pinched my cheek.

“I’m not cute” I whined.

I playfully rolled my eyes and we both chuckled.

“I love you” he suddenly said as he stared straight into my eyes.

I blushed and smiled.

I leaned in to k**s Luan.

Luan was holding me by the waist while my hands were placed above his shoulders.

He pulled me closer to him as he pressed his body close to mine.

It was a deep and passionate k**s.

It spoke of our feelings more than words ever can.

It was breathtaking.

“Oh my freaking! Get a fcking room, guys!”

Luan and I separated and we turned to look at who suddenly came.

It was El.

I flushed red.

“Way to ruin the fcking mood, El” Luan said with a frown.

El shrugged as he made his way to get a glass of water.

“Guys, the kitchen isn’t a make out room” he reminded with a chuckle then left.

I hid my face on Luan’s neck and he chuckled.

Luan lifted me a little and he wrapped my legs on his waist while sitting down the kitchen stool so that I’m straddling him.

“Should we go out to get some takeouts?” Luam suggested.

I shook my head.

“I’ll cook instead. I’ll even teach you how to make something edible” I said.

Luan smiled.

“Sounds good” he said and gave me a peck on the lips.

We both got up and started preparing some ingredients.

I was going to teach him to make an actual mac and cheese that wouldn’t poison me.

Luan stood behind as I held both his hands to guide him while cooking.

“This must be one of the most memorable life experience in my life” Luan said with a chuckle.

“What are the others?” I asked curiously.

“Well, there’s meeting you. There’s also being marked and mated by you. Then, there’s when I was a kid, I used to sneak out of secret passages in the palace and such” he said with a chuckle.

I paused.

Secret passages?

I didn’t go far enough into his memory as a child to see that.

I bit my lower l*p.

“Really? How old were you when you did that?” I asked.

This might be the answer to our problem at hand.

“I think was about 11. I did it for fun and I loved just being able to get out every now and then from the palace and play outside like an actual child” he said a little sadly.

I turned to look at Luan and gave him a peck.

Luan smiled.

We finished up cooking the mac and cheese and ate together.

It turned out pretty good considering I was there to cook it with him.

After that, we came upstairs and into our room then snuggled into each other.

“Goodnight, love” Luan said and gave me a k**s on the top of my head.

I smiled.

“Goodnight” I said as I closed my eyes.

After a while, I felt Luan really fall asleep.

I stared at him for a moment and sighed.

“I’m sorry” I whispered as I touched his head and accessed his memories.

I went back to when he was a child and tried to replace his memories of the secret passages.

From 7 years ago.

Then, I found it.

Bingo.

The final piece to our escape plan.
