Alpha Queen
Chapter 95

Liviana’s POV

“Shower as soon as you get home. Don’t get sick” Dad reminded me.

I nodded.

“I won’t. Go back safely, dad” I told him.

“I will” he said and gave me a k**s on the forehead.

“Take care, princess. Dad loves you” he said and I smiled as I waved him goodbye.

I made my way back to the pack house.

At this hour, I’m sure everyone was already asleep.

I’ll have to make a pack announcement early in the morning to let everyone know that it’s okay to go out.

Atleast for now.

I know he’ll be back.

He already knows the truth.

He just needs me to confirm it for him.

But I won’t do that.

King Luis is even more dangerous than I thought he was.

I went inside the pack house and my eyes met with a pair of green ones.

I saw worry flash in his eyes as he stood up.

“Liviana” Luan said as he made his way to him.

I ignored him and quickly went to a guest room and locked the door even before Luan can follow me.

“Liviana, please” Luan said from the other side of the door as he knocked.

“Go to bed, Grey. I don’t want to talk to you” I said as I took out a robe from the closet.

“I’m sorry, okay? I should’ve talked to you about the matter properly. I was upset. You kept something so important a secret from me. It feels like you don’t even trust me so I was disappointed” he said from the other side.

I chuckled in disbelief.

“Would I have let you mark me if I didn’t trust you? Would I have let you stay in my pack territory if I didn’t trust you? Would I have let you bring me in that party that night if I didn’t trust you? Tell me, what else should I do to make you feel that I trust you? I’ve let you in my life no matter how difficult it was because of the situation” I said.

He was silent for a moment and I smirked in disbelief.

“Just go, Grey. I don’t have the energy to argue with you tonight or tomorrow or the next days. I’m already at my lowest. I can’t do this anymore” I said weakly as I went inside the bathroom.

I took a long warm shower.

I need a recharge.

I feel really drained.

To think that everything will go smoothly from here on.

I sighed.

I got out of the shower and put on the robe before going to bed.

I really have to do something about this soon.

I can’t face King Luis like this.

If I do, the people I’ve been trying my best to protect might end up in danger

I tucked myself in and forced myself to sleep.

But then, I found myself in the woods.

I looked around.

Why am I here?

Then, I heard rustling in the bushes around me.

Suddenly, a group of wolves came out of the bushes surrounding me from all sides.

I took a defensive stance as they cornered me.

They aren’t rogues.

They don’t smell like rogues.

But what scent is this?

Think, Liviana.

Think.

Then, I realized where I’ve encountered it before.

Earlier today and from that day with Luan’s uncle.

Royal guards.

Why are they here?

How did they come in without alarming my guards?

They growled and snarled at me as they circled me.

I clenched my fists as I stayed alert of their actions.

Then, one wolf after another lunged at me and I tried my hardest to dodge them all.

They were fast.

Surely, they were well trained for combat in the palace.

I managed to dodge about 3 of them until I caught one by its canines and I threw it to the 2 that was about to attack me.

I was having a hard time with their speed and number.

I couldn’t change into my wolf.

They can easily target me and I’ll be left vulnerable.

In my human form, I can move more freely and twist and turn without any problem and I’ll be a smaller target.

It wouldn’t have been a problem for me if they were normal wolves or just rogues.

But they weren’t.

They were all well trained and equipped guards and warriors of the King.

After bringing down about 2 more wolves, the others kept attacking.

Luckily, I was keeping up just fine until…

“Fck!” I cussed when one wolf slipped passed me and bit into my shoulder.

I reached for its head and started punching it with all my might until it whimpered and let me go.

I grabbed it by its neck and flipped backwards landing on its back.

I quickly twisted its neck as it fell to the ground with its last breath.

The b***d from my shoulder dripped down my arm as it started healing its own.

No one wasted their time as they attacked me as a group.

I struggled to fight them off with my throbbing and bleeding shoulder.

And just when I was about to grab hold of another wolf, I felt a sudden change in the air.

Then, I felt something sting on my back as it pierced through my skin.

I jumped away from them and when I landed and turned, I saw Luan’s uncle.

He had something in his hand and suddenly, everything started to become a blur.

What’s happening?

My knees weakened and I tried to run but couldn’t.

Everything was spinning around me.

What the hell happened to me?

I fell to me knees and then my whole body fell forward as I laid on the ground.

No.

I need to get up.

I need to fight.

I need to run.

This can’t happen.

“Goodnight, your majesty” I heard someone say and then everything went blank.

What the hell is happening?

Is this some type of nightmare.

But why does it feel so real?

Why do I feel the pain?

Why am I not waking up?

I tried to open my eyes.

Come on.

I need to wake up.

When I succeeded in opening my eyes, I could only see a tiny bit of light from a lit torch on the side.

Where am I?

“You’re awake” someone said from the dark.

I weakly lifted my head up only to meet satan’s buddy.

“Had a good sleep?” he said with a creepy smile on his face.

Thank ghad the twins nor Cassandra didn’t take after him in the looks section.

This man looked like a living psychopath.

Just like his brother.

King Luis.

“W-where am I?” I managed to ask weakly.

“You’re…at the king’s mercy” he said and smirked.

My brows furrowed.

I’ve been…kidnapped?

How could I let this happen?

“You…you don’t know who you’re dealing with” I said as I glared at him.

“Oh I’m so scared. What are you going to do? Will you tell your dead parents?” he asked with a chuckle.

I frowned as my b***d boiled.

“Watch your words. I can rip your pathetic head off of your useless body once I get out of here” I threatened.

He laughed in a sinister way as I scowled at him.

“You’re funny. How could a weak she-wolf like yourself, behead a wolf of my ranking and experience?” he said smugly.

I smirked.

“Shall I show you?” I said as I charged forward only to be held back by the chains in my chair.

He laughed.

Then, suddenly the metal doors behind him opened and in came the devil.

King Luis.

“What a pleasant sight” he said and I growled at him.

But then, everything turned black once more.

I opened my eyes and I saw myself in an unfamiliar place.

“You can’t run now”

I turned to see King Luis as he stared straight at me with a smirk on his face with his men cornering me.

I clenched my fists.

There was cliff behind me.

One wrong step and I’m gone.

“You can never rule over this territory . I’ll make sure of that” he said as he grabbed a bow and arrow from his men.

The bow pierced through my chest and I gasped as the pain took over my body.

I jolt awake.

I was sweating all over as I breathed in and out rapidly.

What was that?

Why did it all feel so real?

Like I was actually there?

Like it actually happened?

“Liviana?”

I looked at the door as I heard the knocking.

It was Luan.

He was still outside?

How long was I asleep?

“Liviana!” he said and the door was forcibly opened.

My eyes met with his as I saw worry in them.

He rushed to my side as he held me.

“What happened?” he asked worried.

Your father killed me.

“It was a nightmare” I simply said.

Luan sighed as he held my face and caressed it.

“How long were you waiting outside?” I asked him curiously.

“Hours, I think. I fell asleep but woke up when I heard you gasp” he explained.

I looked at Luan.

I missed this kind of distance between us.

I couldn’t help myself anymore as I held Luan’s face.

“I’m sorry” I finally said.

Luan slightly smiled as he put his forehead on mine.

“And I’m sorry” he said making me smile.

“Let’s not…fight anymore” I said and he nodded.

“I agree” he said and we both chuckled.

Luan and I went to bed together as he held me in his embrace.

My head was on his chest as I felt his warmth take over my body.

“I missed this” he suddenly said.

“I did too” I said.

“What did you dream about?” he asked.

I gulped.

“I already forgot” I lied and he chuckled as he held me even closer to him. If that’s even possible.

“Don’t worry, I’m here now” he said and I smiled.

Luan and I laid there together until I felt him fall asleep.

But I couldn’t.

That dream….

It didn’t feel like a dream.

It’s like it actually happened.

Like it was actually happening.

Or is it because…it was going to happen?

If it’s not a nightmare…

Then is it what I think it is?

Is it…a foresight?
