ELEANOR

Coby and Alpha Ezekiel didn't utter a word until we reached their pack house. Ezekiel insisted thathe carry me on his back. He said his territory was a long way from here, so walking is really not anoption. It would take me days before I even get there.

I had considered shifting into my wolf, but that can't be an option either. At least, I need to replace theright time to shift, but I felt guilty riding on his back knowing I had my own wolf.

Nonetheless, I accepted his offer and hopped on his back. His wolf was really huge. I wonder whatAlexander's wolf look like?

The thought of Alexander changed my whole mood all of a sudden. I told myself I wouldn't think ofhim. I laughed when I replace myself still thinking of him wherever I go.

And now here I am.

Before I let sadness consume me, I shook my head and tried to focus on clinging to Ezekiel's back.About two hours later, he stopped at a gate. Inmediately, the guards opened it for us and theyushered us in.

I gasped at the sight of a huge mansion they call a pack house. Everything was concrete. Tall glasswindows welcoming guests and providing a great view of the high mountains, as well as a chance ofrelaxation while its people take in the seasons changing all from the comfort of a modern, stylishmansion circumvallated by nature itself. It looked spacious and squeaky clean even more when weentered through the huge door.

Upon entrance, several maids already came rushing over towards us.

"Alpha" They greeted him still in his wolf form.

He gave Coby a meaningful look and I notice him nod.

Coby then shifted back into his human form before one maid hurriedly covered him up with a robe."Come with me." He says with a smile.

I glanced at Ezekiel who gave me a curt nod. His bright, turquoise green eyes glistened under thefluorescent light when our eyes locked.

Tearing my gaze off him, I turned on my heel and followed Coby up the modern polished staircase. My mouth shaped into an '0" as I took in the ambiance of the entire second floor. Everything fromchandeliers to the furnitures screamed wealth and elegance, and the floor was spotless.

I quietly followed Coby who'd glance at me ever so often when he suddenly stopped at a door.Opening it, he turned his face to me and spoke.

"Thank you for saving me. I owe you my life," His words oozed with sincerity as he bowed his headin front of me.

Curving my lips into a shy smile, I shook my head. Patting both sides of his shoulders and loweringmy body to level with his eyes.

"You're welcome," I whisper before pulling him back up to stand upright.

"But you saved me as well. Now we're even,” I smiled, meeting his shocked gaze as he rose to meetmy eyes.

"You're very beautiful.” He uttered.

I smiled weakly and thanked him for the unexpected compliment.

"Forgive me for the poor introduction. My name is Coby. Alpha Ezekiel's second in command. Haveyou met before?" He asked, tilting his head sideways while gazing into me with overflowingcuriosity.

The moment I heard his name, I had this feeling as though I've heard it somewhere before. I justcouldn't place my finger on it.

Rummaging through my long lost memories, I found nothing. I furrowed my brows, unable to recallwhere or when I have heard of the name other than that time at the Royal Winders dinner.

Shaking my head in response, I smiled regretfully knowing I must have disappointed the lad."That's alright. Perhaps my alpha just have that ability to sense when someone's life is in terribledanger." He shrugged then stepped to the side, allowing me full access to the opened door.

"Well then, please make yourself at home. There's a bathroom attached in this room, you can take abath and come down later for lunch.” He smiled and I happily returned he gesture.

I thanked him then he waved me goodbye before turning on his heel heading downstairs.

Closing the door gently, I turned around and pushed my back against the door, still.

I took a deep breath in a bid to calm my body, shuddering in absolute fear. Anxiety threatens to ruleover my mind as I took in everything that happened for the last couple of hours.

The sight of blood still left a feeling of unease within me that almost makes me sick.

In this moment, all I can see and hear are the rogue’s horrified faces when one of them fell to theground without a head. Their low growls and whimpers as they watched their companions die in hishands.

My eyes dropped to the blood-stained fabric covering my upper half.

I groan, unable to ignore the pungent smell of the rogues blood and scent of the men who werechasing after me.

Shaking my head, walk towards the bathroom situated to the left side of the room.

I scan the room for a brief moment. He'd taken me to a guest room, perhaps.

Still, it looked more like a master bedroom to me. If their guest room was already this huge, imaginewhat the real master bedroom would look like.

Whipping around, I hop right into the bathroom and rid myself of this bloody shirt.

Standing completely naked, I turned on the hot water and stood under the shower.

As soon as the water assaulted my skin, I hissed and flinched back a little. It's been two or threedays since I last took a hot shower.

Each one of the cuts and bruises I acquired from rushing through the thorned bushes were gone inmiliseconds time.

A tight knot twisted abruptly in my stomach, making me almost unable to breathe. Just then, I saw asharp razor which could belong to anyone sitting in a container located at the corner of the wall.

I grabbed it in an instant, squeezing it in my hand before slicing my wrist with one, swift move.Blood came gushing out of my skin, yet it has been nothing but painless. In the next few seconds, Iwatch expressionlessly as my own blood rushed back to the slit on my wrist. The cut was deep, butjust like how Coby's wound healed surprisingly fast, it closed as if it was never even there.

I pull my brows closer together as I attempt for one more. Then another. And another.

I kept going until I felt sick to the core.

Rushing towards the bathroom sink, I leaned down and got rid of the bile that has arisen from mythroat.

I turn on the faucet and wipe my mouth with the back of my hand before letting my ass slump tothe cold, tiled floor.

My eyes blurred as tears escaped from my lids, and I ended up bursting into uncontrollable tears.

I pulled my knees to my forehead, sobbing nonstop until it rendered me exhausted.

My head pushed back against the stone wall, my mind filled with only one simple question;

What the hell am 1?
