Are you sure Josh can be trusted? Rebecca asked hesitantly.

Harvey nodded, “He doesn’t care about anything in the world except anime,” he said, handing a milkshake to Rebecca. “Drink this, will make you feel better,” he added. gently.

Rebecca nodded. “Harvey, I’m curious, why does Mia hate me so much?” she asked. suddenly.

Harvey nearly choked on the iced coffee he was drinking. He took a long breath. “I don’t know for sure, but I think they would hate any woman my late grandfather chose for me. My dad, my mom, and Mia–they’ve always had their own world, and I’ve always felt disconnected from them emotionally. So, I’m sorry I can’t answer your question.”

could see that, but I never dared to ask,” Rebecca said, reaching out to hold Harvey’s hand tightly.

The sound of the diner’s bell brought them back to reality. Josh walked in, scanning the room until he spotted them. He hurried over his expression serious.

“Hey, man,” Josh greeted, sliding into the booth. “What’s going on? You sounded urgent on the phone.”

“Josh! Yeah, kind of. Um, Josh, this is Becky-

“Of course, I know she’s Becky; she’s your wife, right? Oops, sorry, I forgot you guys divorced,” Josh babbled, covering his mouth with both hands.

Harvey’s face turned red instantly. “Okay, I’ll get straight to the point. Becky and I, we’re being terrorized.”

Harvey filled him in on everything–the hospital, the mysterious message, and the photo. Josh listened intently, his brow furrowing deeper with each detail. “That’s messed up,” Josh said, shaking his head. “But I can help. Let me see that phone.”

Harvey handed over his phone, and Josh immediately started working his magic. He

Rebecca leaned in, watching as Josh zoomed in on the image. “Look at that reflection,” she pointed out. Is that… a car window?”

Josh nodded, focusing on the small detail. “Yeah, and there’s a partial plate number. This might be something. Give me a bit to work on it.”

Rebecca and Harvey watched Josh curiously as he busied himself with his phone and laptop. “I’ll order you a double cheeseburger and bubblegum milkshake,” Harvey murmured, raising his hand to call the waiter

Josh chuckled. “Wow! You remember my favorite food?” he replied without taking his eyes off his laptop.

As Josh continued his work, Harvey and Rebecca sat back, holding hands under the table. Despite the tension, there was a sense of comfort in knowing they had allies.

“Thank you, Josh,” Rebecca said sincerely. “We really appreciate your help.”

Josh smiled, not taking his eyes off the screen. “Anything for you guys. Just hang tight.” After what felt like an eternity, Josh finally looked up with a triumphant grin. “Got it. The car is registered to someone named Glen Bennett. Does that name ring a bell?”

Harvey’s eyes widened. “Bennett? Nicholas is the only Bennett I know, but he’s in jail. Could Glen be a relative? Maybe his father?”

Rebecca tensed immediately. “What if Nicholas never really stopped? What if he’s still holding a grudge? I never knew Nicholas had a biological father who was still in contact with him. But I think Glen is either his father or his uncle.”

“Anything you’re saying is possible,” Harvey said, his mind racing. “We need to replace him. Confront him and get some answers.”

Josh nodded. “I can track his address. Give me a second.”

Within minutes, they had an address. Harvey thanked Josh profusely, and they promised to keep him updated. As they left the diner, Harvey turned to Rebecca. You

Rebecca took a deep breaths, then nodded. “Yes. Let’s end this

They drove to West Hamptons Dunes and stopped at the address Josh had given them → small, dilapidated house

Are you sure this is the place? Rebecca asked, peering at the seemingly abandoned house.

Yeah, let’s make sure

They approached the front door, Rebecca’s hand trembling slightly as Harvey knocked. After a few moments, the door creaked open, revealing Glen Bennett. His eyes widened in surprise.

“What are you doing here?” Glen asked cautiously.

“I believe we have a problem. We need to talk, Mr. Bennett,” Harvey said firmly. “Can we come in? Aren’t you Nicholas’s biological father?”

Glen hesitated, then stepped aside, letting them in. The house was modest, cluttered with old furniture and stacks of newspapers. Glen led them to the living room, motioning for them to sit.

“What is this about?” Glen asked, crossing his arms.

Harvey didn’t waste time. “We know you’ve been following us. We got a photo, a message, everything. The question is why, Glen? What do you want? Did Nicholas ask you to do this?

Glen’s face paled, and he looked away. “I didn’t mean to scare you. I was just… trying to keep an eye on you. Yeah, Nicholas wants you guys to live in fear…”

Rebecca’s eyes narrowed. “What? Why? Harvey, we need to see Nicholas! He’s obsessed with me and it needs to stop!”

Glen sighed, sinking into a chair. “He asked me to keep tabs on you. He was worried you were getting too close to Harvey again. He didn’t want to lose control.”

Harvey felt a surge of anger. “So it was really him?”

Glen shook his head. “It’s not that simple. He’s scared. Scared of losing you, Rebecca.

Rebecca softened slightly. “Glen, we just want to be happy. We want to live our lives. without fear Can you understand that?”

Glen nodded slowly. “I do. And I’m sorry. I’ll talk to him. I’ll make sure he understands. But be careful. There are things you don’t know.”

Harvey frowned. “What do you mean?”

Glen hesitated, then lowered his voice. “Nicholas… he’s involved with some dangerous people. People who won’t be happy if you two break free from his control. Be on guard.”
