int that Victoria? Cathy asked, her voice filled with surprise. Rebecca remained silent. but her heart was pounding. It was always about Victoria, her mother–in–law.

They watched as Victoria entered a car and leh Alicia’s house with her driver and bodyguard Cathy turned to Rebecca, “Becky. I’m sure Harvey is under a lot of pressure. We both know how manipulative Victoria and Alicia can be,” she said earnestly.

Rebecca stared at Alicia’s house, struggling to resist the urge to go inside and confront them. If it weren’t for Lily waiting for her mother to come home, she might have jumped up and messed up Alicia’s house

“I don’t know, Cathy. Should we knock on the door and ask them?” Rebecca muttered, obviously joking. Cathy snorted, “It would be easier if Alicia weren’t a cold–blooded monster. We could confront her and solve this without being afraid of what might happen,” she said, rubbing her forehead, hoping for a good idea to come.

“We can’t just sit here and speculate, can we? Alright, I’ll do what any wife would do when her husband is with another woman,” Rebecca suddenly said. She opened the car door and jumped out, making Cathy gasp in shock and do the same.

“Becky! Are you sure about this? I’m coming with you!” Cathy shouted, quickly following Rebecca.

“No, Cathy. We need to keep you out of this bubble. You have to stay outside to be safe, okay? Remember, you have a family, and Victoria or Alicia might use them against you. Stay in the car and keep the engine running,” Rebecca said firmly. Cathy was about to protest, but Rebecca shook her head, refusing to accept any objections.

Rebecca walked confidently, even though her legs were trembling. Alicia’s house wasn’t a large mansion, but two guards were standing at the entrance.

“Yes?” one of the guards, who seemed to recognize Rebecca, asked.

“I need to see Alicia and Harvey,” Rebecca replied flatly, despite her hands trembling badly.

“They’re not accepting visitors. Come back another time,” the guard said, yawning widely.

“There is no other time. Tell Alicia I just want to say goodbye to my husband,” Rebecca

fed glancing at the gun on the guard’s belt. Her mind was racing. What if something hoggend to her? Who would take care of Lily?

The guard called Alicia and relayed exactly what Rebecca had said. Shortly afterward, “We need to search you,” the guard said, bored.

Rebecca raised her hands, “Just do it then,” she replied indifferently. She had nothing on her; she was truly risking her life just to get closure on her newly rekindled relationship with Harvey.

“Clean!” the guard shouted, signaling to the other guard to open the door.

Rebecca’s heart was pounding. She imagined what scene she would witness inside. She stepped in and was greeted by the scent of jasmine. Her eyes scanned the three–story house, searching for her husband.

“Hey! Have you had lunch?” a voice called out. Rebecca turned to the source of the voice and found Alicia sitting at the dining table, enjoying what looked like a salad. She straightened her back and walked over to her.

“Where’s Harvey? I need to talk to him,” Rebecca asked coldly.

Alicia laughed, “You should have informed us before coming here. Harvey is sleeping after three rounds of sex with me. He’s so exhausted his knees are shaking, hahaha! He must have really missed my touch!”

Rebecca restrained herself from attacking Alicia. All her joints ached, and her heart was pounding hard. She snorted, “Unfortunately, I don’t believe you, so tell me where he is,” she asked firmly.

Alicia rolled her eyes. “Oh my, you are really stubborn!” she exclaimed, standing up and walking towards Rebecca. She looked much thinner after getting out of prison; Rebecca could even see her slightly protruding ribs.

“See for yourself with your own eyes!” Alicia walked to a door and opened it wide. Rebecca followed her, struggling not to cry in front of that woman.

There, on the bed, Harvey was sleeping soundly, naked. Only a blanket covered his body up to his thighs.

Alicia giggled, “Sorry for the mess. Our sex was really wild!”

Rebecca couldn’t contain her anger any longer. She quickly walked towards the bed to

wake Harvey, but Alicia swiftly blocked her. “You can’t disturb my boyfriend while he’s sleeping. Come back another time with your divorce papers. If you insist–there are two Siberian guards who can silence you anytime,” Alicia said, just inches from Rebecca’s face.

“I need to hear all of this from his mouth directly,” Rebecca hissed, glaring at Alicia.

Alicia sighed deeply. “Alright, I’ll convey your message, but for now, we need to rest because tonight will be another hot episode,” she said, smiling mischievously.

Rebecca felt so disgusted she was sure she could vomit. She glanced at Harvey once more, and suddenly, her chest felt like it was being pressed by a sack of wet sand. Without saying anything, she walked out of Alicia’s room towards the exit.

She didn’t have time to observe anything because her eyes were blurry with tears. “Hey! Did you see Harvey?” Cathy asked when Rebecca returned to the car.

Rebecca shook her head, “Let’s get out of here,” she said, turning her face to the window. Five minutes later, after she felt better, she told Cathy what had happened inside Alicia’s house.

Cathy glared, “Disgusting! That bitch really needs to be taught a lesson! But Becky, are you sure Harvey was really asleep?” she asked, focusing on the road ahead.

Rebecca frowned, “What do you mean? Of course, he was really asleep. I could hear him snoring softly,” she replied, getting annoyed when she remembered the scene she had seen earlier.

“Yes, I mean, was he naturally asleep or-”

“Or did Alicia drug him to sleep?” Rebecca interjected, becoming tense immediately.
