Chariot 3: Conception -
Chapter 18 – Like god?
“What is this?” Enquired Sissy as she noticed the winged insect that had suddenly landed on the palm of Flumen`s hand.
“This is a butterfly.” He replied. “A Morpho menelaus argentiferus, if I am not mistaken.” Flumen was well familiar with the South American fauna, result of another one of his many studies.
“You do not know what a butterfly is?” Flumen was surprised with the unexpected gap in the ship`s database. “I guess it is understandable as we do not have any in Nibiru.”
“Butterflies are incredible creatures.” Flumen loved a good lecture. “They go through several stages during their life cycle. From egg to caterpillar, then to cocoon, and finally to butterfly.”
“Please tell me more.” Sissy sounded unexpectedly fascinated with the topic.
“In preparation for its final stage, the caterpillar attaches itself to a leaf. As it molts, the skin shed by the caterpillar uncovers the cocoon which hardens to become a protective capsule-like in order to protect the metamorphosis that takes place inside.”
“Incredible.” Sissy replied.
“I can teach you more on a better time but I highly recommend that you update your database once we...”he paused for a moment“…return home”. Despite his passion for providing others with a good lecture, Flumen knew they needed to focus on the outside if they wanted to ever return home.
Ezekiel`s wise salutation was telepathically translated through his BCI while the crew onboard Chariot 3 attentively observed the encounter.
The native leader seemed to understand the message, replying loudly in his language.
“Oh lord from the skies. Please accept these 3 females as our offering. Sorry, we have not been left with much more to offer.” Marcaya hesitated, demonstrating some concern in his voice while refraining to look into the man`s eyes.
Albeit he was unable to have every word translated, the Hebrew could have a good notion of what Marcaya was saying and could even understand part of his thoughts. “Why at this time his appearance is so man likely? Would the grey god be wearing a man-like skin?”
“Sissy, am I extraordinarily incorrect or some of the geometrical designs on this landscape resemble something not entirely unknown to us?” Flumen was now close to a conclusion that was no longer necessary.
“Did he say grey god?!” Flumen and Shoffer pronounced the exact same words as they raised their heads and wrinkled what supposed to be their eyebrows.
“This is not a good sign…” Cai Yiu had barely finished what he had to say when a magnetic noise broke the air.
A silver metallic space craft suddenly stopped between Chariot 3 and the crowd of natives that stood by Ezekiel.
The craft then started to gradually descend, emanating a blinding red light as if it purposely drive people`s eye out of it. The natives went down on their knees with their eyes facing the ground while Ezekiel tried to look at the descending chariot as much as he could, until he was finally forced to protect his eyes with his hand.
The crew onboard Chariot 3 attentively observed the unusual design of the spacecraft, especially the small elevations on both sides of its structure – probably for stabilizing purposes – that made it resemble a stingray. The craft approached the ground until it stopped, maintaining its distance just a few feet above land.
“Captain, this ship is definitely of Grey design and is my duty to remind you and the crew that they are considered to be extremely hostile. I recommend immediate lock down and scape whenever our propulsion systems are operational.” Chariot 3`s voice had never been missed by anyone and it would most likely never be, especially at that moment.
“Surrender peacefully and your lives shall be spared”. The dreadful Greynish accent sounded as if it came straight from the darkest and most inhospitable place forgotten somewhere far deep in space.
Ezekiel and the other natives felt their bodies shivering unconditionally at the pace their skin became pale.
“Sir, I am afraid Sissy may be right. We are unarmed. Besides, they should not be able to follow us. This is a scouter craft designed for reconnaissance and its engines are unlikely to be equipped with spatial distortion.”
Although Cai Yiu would hate to run away from a good fight, that was undeniably, the best thing to do.
Flumen did not say anything but he knew very well the basics of intergalactic warcraft: Wherever there is an enemy scouter craft, there is an enemy mothership somewhere nearby.
“Cai Yiu, follow me.” Ignoring any of what had just been said, the Nibirian Captain jumped down towards the Flight Deck followed by Cai Yiu who, on his way down, glazed his eyes over the essential tube once again. He could not avoid to wonder whether that would be his last time staring at its content.
“V-Nus, return to the bridge and be ready to take off…without us if necessary.”
“Yes…sir.” He hesitated, his words and his conscious did not seem to mean the same thing.
“I have identified six life forms inside the enemy ship.” Sissy continued to keep the crew updated.
Cai Yiu grabbed the helmet from the hands of V-Nus as he passed by him on the way to the opened hatch.
“Shall your path be safe.” V-Nus wished them luck and not to be a ‘goodbye’.
Before exiting Chariot 3, Cai Yiu looked back to his friend, and with confidence on his eyes, nodded his head. “It shall be.”
