Avan's POV

"What's all these Avan?" Dad shouted as he threw a hard glare towards me. “I thought you arecapable enough to handle the situation but you really shamed me with your action”

"Dad, I don't know how this happened?" I replied to him.

"You don't know?" He growled "is this what you are going to give me as a reason? You don't know?"I couldn't answer him back. I don't even know when Reese played me for a fool and becamepregnant all of a sudden. She really did play dirty tricks with me all the way, seducing and wearingrevealing clothes to lure me in. Thinking about it I clenched my fist tightly.

"She has already become pregnant and it's your child isn't it?" Dad asked again

"Yes" even if I really want to deny, how could I? I know it's my child but thinking about Reese gettingpregnant didn't make me feel happy. Rather it felt like I am carrying a huge burden on my shoulder."How could you Avan?" Dad roared "you know what kind of situation we are in yet you still went forgetting laid with her and impregnating her?"

I shook my head "no it's not dad, I did not have any idea how she got pregnant. Though I acceptthat we did had sex frequently but I was careful enough. I will never let her pregnant knowingly dad.You know me"

Dad narrowed his eyes at me before turning away and sighing "what do you think? In this kind ofsituation, if she bears the child then it will only lead the whole pack on the way of destruction. She isnot your mate and now that she is pregnant, knowing the personality of Salina, she will definitely tryto take the opportunity to force you accept Reese and take the responsibility of the child”

"Dad, do you think they..."

"It doesn't matter. Even if they pre-planned it, they have already succeeded, haven't they? It's not atime to think about how it happened, rather we should try to replace how to deal with it" dad said andhis gaze turned cold. "You are now the Alpha and sometimes for the goodwill of the pack you needto take hard decision”

"What are you trying to say dad?" I asked as I couldn't understand his words.

Dad looked at me for sometime then said "Avan I know you have your own mind to make decisions.But I am your father and would always think about your goodwill. I have lived my life for too longand have more experience than you, whether it's about ruling the pack or making decisions of life. Ihave seen many things that you have yet to see. Being an Alpha is not an easy task. Sometimes youneed to make your heart stone and decide for a future which might be related to your personal lifetoo. And since you have taken the title and post, it's better if you understand it now"

"Dad, you don't have to worry about it. Since I have inherited the position my first priority is toprotect my pack and nothing else. And if I had to make a hard decision for it then I am willing to doit no matter what" I replied showing my determination.

He narrowed his eyes at me "at the cost of your own child?"

"Yes, at the cost of my own-" I stopped in the middle when I understood the sentence I was aboutto say.

At the cost of my child? I looked at dad stunned. Does he want me to...?

"Dad?"

"Avan I know you are in a hard situation right now but you need to clear your mind and heart tomake decisions. I can understand your feelings and as your father I am not willing to see you sad orin despair. So I will leave this choice to you. Think about it clearly then choose wisely" dad said thenwalked out of the study.

I stood there silly, stunned. I know being an Alpha is not an easy task to handle. I have seen dadhow he ruled the pack all his life. There's also sometimes when he was muddled to make decisionsand I had seen him having a serious face and took his decision even if it was against his will. Andnow the same situation is happening with me. I couldn't help but sigh.

I knew Reese was trying to seduce me but I thought it was because she felt bored or because I havenot paid much attention to her but never did I think that she would be doing that to have meimpregnate her. It was her plan so she could force me down to marry him and give the Luna title. Ifit was before I would not have thought about it much but now there's no time to think. But whatdad said made me startled. At the cost of my own child? Can I do that? Even if I don't feel happyabout this child, it's still my own flood and flesh. How could I just abandon it?

If Savannah was here then it wouldn't be a problem at all. She was my mate and she would haveenjoyed the benefits as my mate without any problem, all she had to do was accept me and staybehind. I wouldn't have abandoned her no matter what. If she was here, I sighed at the thought. Iam already having too many problems to handle and now that Reese is pregnant, she is alreadygiving me more. I really need to talk to her. Thinking this I walked towards Reese's room.

When I entered inside I saw her drinking porridge silently. She looked up when she heard myfootsteps.

"You came?" She asked and placed the bowl on the table. The porridge was still half in the bowl."You should eat more in this situation" I said as I walked towards her.

"Do you really care for me?” Reese asked, looking at me. Her face was laced with pain.

"How are you feeling?" I ignored her question and sat down on the bed.

"Why are you pretending so much when you don't even care about me?"

I sighed "you don't know anything about the situation I am in"

"Avan I have never interfered in your business and always minded mine. But this time it's different.You are raising questions against this child and I could never accept that” She almost yelled.

My temper flared instantly. I was trying to be gentle to her yet she was just trying to make meangry. I got up from bed and looked at her angrily.

"What do you want me to do? All you know is how to use seduction yet you couldn't rack your brainand try to understand the situation 1 am in? I thought you are smart but you are worse than idiot"She gasped "how could you say that Avan? All these years I have been obeying what you said butnow that I got pregnant you are accusing me for not understanding you?"

"Isn't it?" a bitter smile appeared on my face "don't tell me everything happened is just an accident.You did planned it beforehand so that you can get an opportunity to use against me"

Her body stiffened and my anger bubbled inside. I was right. I was right that these all were her planto drag me to the altar. How could I just give into some seduction of a bitch? I thought she wassmart enough to handle the situation yet she is the dumbest woman I have ever met in my life."Avan, you can't just accuse me like that" suddenly she sobbed "I have loved you for so many yearsand was patiently waiting for you. I know I am not your mate but still willing to stay by your side, allbecause I love you so much. I have done all the things you asked without any hesitation. And thistime after Savannah ran away, you have become indifferent and started to neglect me. I was scaredthat you would leave me behind and my heart would bleed everytime I think of that scene in mymind" her sobs become louder "and that..."

"Do you think using a child will give you an advantage?" I gritted my teeth. Even if I felt bad for her,thinking of her planning behind my back just makes me want to curse her down.

"No, don't say like that" she shook her head "you know I would never do that"

"You have already done that. What's the point of denying it now?"

"Avan please, I was just scared and I didn't want to lose you" Reese sobbed again. If it was before Iwould have felt pity seeing her crying like this but now what I felt inside me was anger. If she was alittle thoughtful then she wouldn't have done such a foolish thing.

"Don't use your drama everytime you feel guilty” I said through gritted teeth "I have tolerated allyour tantrums thinking you are just a little disturbed facing the situation but you have gone beyondmy imagination and planned all these behind my back. I used to think you are a smart woman whocan deal with things with maturity but I was wrong. With such an act, how could you even placeyourself in Luna's position? You will just disgrace the title. It was such a mistake for me to think youare eligible to be my Luna but thanks to you, you have opened my eyes in time" I turned around notwanting to spend any moment with her.

"Avan, what are you saying? Please don't leave" Reese begged from behind. Her voice filled withanxiety but I didn't turn back.

"You better rest well in your room and behave yourself. After what you have done, the only thingthat connects me to you is the child in your womb. If something happens to it, you will take theresponsibility of our breaking up” I warned before leaving the room. I could still hear her screamingmy name.

But who cares about her when she was the reason who pushed me in such a difficult situation?Savannah's POV

"I am fine mom" I chuckled "you have been asking the same question for the third time". I shook myhead in disbelief. My mother is always like this.

"I can't help it" mom sounded from the other line. "You have been away and it felt like it hasbecome ages”

"Mom" I bit my lips. I don't know what to say. Leaving them was the hardest thing I ever faced. Butthis time I know it's not about regret or pain but about being too emotional and losing control. Thelast time I left the pack was in anger but this time it was filled with so much emotion and memoriesthat it burned my eyes and made it wet all over again.

"I am fine, 1 am fine" mom chuckled. "Your dad has been scolding me for being too emotional.Though he looked strong and calm from the surface, I know he is also missing you a lot. After allthis time, it's not like some vacation or other things"

"Tell dad that I am missing him too. It's really hard to leave but I have no other choice”

"I know darling, you don't have to worry. It's just a matter of few days then we will eventually getadjusted with the situation"

"How's everything going in there?" I wiped the corner of my eyes.

"It's good. Though it's a little sad moment but other than that everything is fine here. Is Hardwicktreating you well?"

"Of course mom" I smiled thinking about my mate. "He did not let me complain about anything.You know mom, he even arranged a walk-in closet" I chuckled.

"He did?" Mom gasped "that's good darling. I know he is a hard working guy and veryunderstanding. He really do out you in the first priority”

"I guess so..." I blushed.

"Did I heard walk-in closet?" I heard Tanea's voice in the background.

"Mom let me talk to Sav. I want to ask her about it" she insisted.

"What's there to talk about this?" Mom scolded her "you girls are really crazy about clothing. Nomatter how much you have in hand it's always not enough”

"Mom, you can't accuse me like that,” Tanea replied.

"I am not putting myself here to argue with you. Fine take this" mom sighed then I heard somenoises before finally Tanea's voice fell on the other line.

"Yo~ how are you doing?"

"I am good"

"Did you just say Hardwick got you a new closet?"

"Um..yeah.."

"Oh my fucking goodness” Tanea screamed loudly.

"Stop it. Are you trying to make me deaf?" I scolded her.

"Come one, who could stay calm in such a situation. I mean your mate got you fucking walk incloset?"

"Why do I feel like you are replaceing it hard to believe?" I frowned, "wait let me give you someevidence" I said and immediately sent her some photos I clicked earlier.

"Oh my god" Tanea yelled "this is so pretty. I fell in love with it"

"What did you say?" Suddenly I heard my brother's voice.

"With whom you fell in love?" He asked again

Tanea let out a groan "do you always have you to butt in our conversation?”

"First answer me" Dev demanded

I laughed loudly. Oh god, looks like Tanea is in trouble now.

"You got it to yourself" I chuckled.

"Forget about him" Tanea whispered but the next second I heard her squeal loudly. I pushed thephone away from my ear. Hell this woman really knows how to injure others ears with her scream.But thinking about the scenery there I couldn't help but laugh.

"What are you laughing at?" I jumped when a voice fell in my ear.

"Do you always have to scare me like that?" I glared at him.

"What happened? You seemed to be too happy while talking on phone that you didn't realized myarrival”

"I was talking to Tanea"

He raised his eyebrows.

"What?" I put on an innocent face.

"What were you two talking about that made you laugh like this?"

"Oh, that...she got amazed by the walk-in closet you arranged”

"Is it that popular?" Hardwick frowned.

I laughed "kind of. Girls fancy clothing stuff more” just like Reese, she used to show off her dressesand talk about her closet. I wonder if she sees my new clothing collection, would she not die withanger? I really wonder if Avan is rich enough to arrange such a big closet.

"Oh, then shouldn't you give some reward to the hard work darling?"

"What?" I looked at him frowning.

He smirked "reward for arranging such closet for you"

"Isn't it Luina who did the hard work?" I smiled then got up from the couch "you are right I reallyshould reward her” I was about to walk when suddenly I felt myself hanging in the air.

"Oh no darling, I was the one who ordered and paid for everything so the reward should onlybelong to me" he started to walk towards the bed.

"Hardwick, what are you doing in the broad daylight?” My eyes widened but my heart was racingerotically.

"Collecting my rewards darling"
