Savannah's POV

Delaney stood there with a crying face. Her eyes were teary while her cheeks were red. Her hair wasquite messy. Because she has a good skin tone which made her get advantages when she wasacting all pitiful. Anyone who will look at her will feel remorse inside mixed with guilt. She took twosteps forward then her body suddenly trembled.

"You have returned,” she said in her soft tone. I raised my eyebrows. She was saying like this ifHardwick had come from a long war. Even the beloved wife in the novel doesn't cry like this. What isshe trying to do now?

"You are still here?" Hardwick clenched his jaw tightly.

"Why are you so angry? I know I have done everything wrong but it has already been so manyyears. I have done everything you wanted and endured all the sufferings in the East Side for you.Can't you just let it go?" Delaney said with her trembling lips.

"Let go?" Hardwick laughed "you still have that courage to ask me that?"

"Hardwick-"

"It's Alpha for you" Hardwick roared, making Delaney jump in shock. I was startled by his suddenroar.

"Al-Alpha, I will do everything you say but please don't stay angry with me. I can't stand yourignorance" Delaney cried out.

"Since you are so willing to do anything then get lost and never show your face to me" Hardwicksnapped.

Delaney gasped "no, no, no, please don't say like that. I have been dreaming of being reunited withyou all these years. Even the elders in the East pitied me when they saw how much I love you. As astranger they can feel my affection then why can't you?"

I looked at her then my gaze fell on my mate who was looking at Delaney without blinking his eyes.My heart suddenly twisted. I bit my lips refraining myself from lashing out.

"I have loved you for many years even though I know you never had the same affection for me. Iloved you so crazily. I can do anything for you. But you can't see my feelings why?" Delaneycontinued to speak. With every point she was making it look reasonable.

Delaney looked at me then her eyes turned dark and gloomy "because she is your mate?" Shesuddenly raised her hand and pointed her fingers towards me. "Just because she was the onechosen by the moon goddess you are ignoring me isn't it? What does she have that I don't? Don't Ilook beautiful? Don't I know how to fight? Is it because of her pack that is backing her up? Is thatwhy you are giving more attention to her?"

"More?" Hardwick's laughter roared around us "there is no more Delaney because I have never gaveyou any attention to raise the question with “more’ at all”

Delaney looked angrily at me. Her eyes watered as the tears suddenly rolled down her cheeks. Shebit her lips then lashed out "it's all because of you. I would have become the only woman andmistress of this pack if you were not here. You have taken my position, my mate and my pack. Whydo you exist in this world? It's all because of you. It's all because of you" Delaney started to shoutlike a madwoman.

"How dare you?" Hardwick growled as he glared at her hard "how dare you accuse my mate youbitch?"

Delaney's eyes widened in shock. Did he just cursed her before everyone? I looked at him shocked."How-how could you call me like that?" Delaney shattered as her body trembled.

"Aren't you the one?" Hardwick growled angrily. "Because of your cheap act there was a hugeconflict in the past. Even if you know that I don't have any interest in you, you still went for usingdirty means. You even stepped so low to use your own body. Now you are accusing my mate? Whogave you that right? Since you are so addicted to losing your life, then I as your Alpha can definitelygrant you the wish as you desire” he shouted as he was about to step forward I held his arm in tightgrip.

Hardwick is really angry but killing Delaney is not a solution. Delaney made a huge scene in the pastand now she is intervening in our lives again. The only motive she had was to ruin us with her.Hardwick turned towards me with a sharp glare. His eyes were blazing and I could clearly see Onlytrying to take over him

"What the hell are you doing? " He growled.

"What are you doing? "

"I am going to kill her as she wants it so much then it's my duty as Alpha to fulfill it" he hissed.

"No you are not" I shook my head. Though my heart is beating loudly and his piercing gaze makingme nervous and scared at the same time but I will never let my mate do something which may bringchaos later.

"Why not? No one gave her the right to insult you in front of me. I will fucking end whoever triesthat"

"You need to calm down please. Killing her won't solve anything yet it will rise more problem" I triedmy best to reason out.

"I don't care” He pushed my hand harshly and about to step towards Delaney who was trembling."But I care,” I said loudly, making him stop on his track. "Even if you don't care about yourself, I care.I can't watch you going to commit sin. I.... 1 don't want to be part with you"

As expected he looked back at me. His blazing eyes softened as some different kind of emotionflashed in his dominating orbs.

"I...1...." Delaney cried and her son became hard.

"Delaney" another voice rang as Daisy's figure showed up. She squatted down towards Delaney andhelped her from the ground.

"Master, please forgive my sister. She was a little excited seeing you after so many years. She justcouldn't control her emotions” Daisy said, defending her sister.

"Couldn't control emotions?" Hardwick snorted angrily "looks like your sister forgot how to behaveand respect others. She really need to learn so many things"

"Master, my sister is vulnerable, please show some mercy. She just adores you from the start andalways has been thinking about you. My sister has grown up with you in the same pack. For the sakeof past affection please don't hurt her” Daisy requested again. Her eyes were teary and her face waspleading.

"Your sister only knows how to ruin others when she can't get what she desires. She has a wickedmind and heart that will never change no matter where she goes" Hardwick said with an unpleasanttone.

Daisy lowered her head but didn't retort again while Delaney suddenly screamed "My heart is notwicked. I just want you to see me as a woman to love me and care for me. What's wrong with that?""What's wrong?" Hardwick growled "The wrong is that you have high expectations from the thingsyou can't get. The wrong is where you are dreaming about something that will never happen. Thewrong is where you are so infatuated that you lose your sanity to think. The wrong is where youcan't decide whether it's true or false even after knowing the situation. The wrong is where youinsulted my mate who is innocent in this matter. You just couldn't wait to drag down everyone isn'tit even though you have to pay your life in the process”

Delaney and Daisy looked so shocked that they couldn't utter a single word.

"I have had enough of this" Hardwick glared at the both sisters "send Delaney back to the East Sidebut this time she will be going to shut herself in Golden cage and will not come out without mypermission”

The people who were present here all gasped loudly. I looked at them frowning. I really don't haveany idea about Hardwick's punishment but one thing is clear that it's not a good choice either.

"No, you can't do that to me" Delaney shook her head vigorously. Looks like she is not believingwhat she just heard.

"I can do anything since you craved it" Hardwick replied, then turned around and grabbed my handbefore pulling me with him

"You can't do that. What wrong have I done for you to treat me like that? How could you be soheartless Alpha? You are so cold blooded" Delaney was screaming behind us. Two guards showedup and dragged her away. No one gave any heed to her shouts and screams.

"What kind of punishment did you give her?" I asked as soon as he pulled me into our room.

"Are you still interested in her?” He asked as he removed his shirt.

"I was just..." I bit my lips trying not to gasp as his perfect abbs came into my view.

"You what?" He leaned on the wall looking at me with a smirk. God he knows what he is doing andhe is doing it intentionally. This man...

"I couldn't understand your punishment properly”

He raised an eyebrow "Delaney will not be interfering in our lives again. This time she will be livingin a golden cage, the Dark prison in the East Side. And she couldn't come out without mypermission once she entered inside. And I am not going to let her out. So she is fated to be doomedfor life"

So that is why everyone gasped when he said about the punishment. The golden cage doesn't onlyhave a good name but it has great significance too.

I looked at him frowning "so what?"

Hardwick narrowed his dominating eyes “are you just going to ponder over her matter or you havetime to think about me?"

"What are you saying?" I asked as I walked towards the dressing table "such a big thing happenedtoday, how can I not think about it?"

I removed my earring and wiped the makeup from my face before looking at him through themirror.

"How can you be so calm like nothing happened? Delaney caused such a huge scene-"

"Stop" he holds my shoulders "I have tolerated enough. I don't want to hear about that womanagain. Her chapter is closed down and you are not going to talk about her"

I looked at him then sighed. Looks like he hated Delaney from the core. But I don't think Delaney'schapter is closed, I don't know why but thinking about today and the way Delaney screamed itmade my heart so restless.

"What are you thinking about?"

"What about Daisy?"

"Daisy?" He frowned.

"She is her sister right"

"The whole family is hypocrite”

"I don't know why but I feel restless about it" I frowned as I looked at myself in the mirror.

"Don't worry, I won't let any harm come to you. Do you trust me?" He smiled.

I turned to face him "do you think I am worried about myself?" I shook my head "it's not about me.Whatever happened today will lead to another big problem. And Daisy has been keeping guardsagainst me and I know no matter what Delaney did Daisy will blame me for today’s action. She hasbeen hating my existence ever since I become your mate"

"I told you Daisy is a hypocrite just like her sister. Both siblings couldn't sit still until someone is hurtbecause of them. One is senseless and the other is a vicious bitch” Hardwick clenched his fist. I heldhis hand and smiled.

"You are getting angry again?"

"I can't help it. At the thought of you being hurt it makes my blood boil to no end”

I smiled "you love me that much Alpha?" I poked his bare chest.

"More than you can think"

"Feeling are mutual Alpha"

"Any doubt?" I tilted my head as I asked him.

He smirked "of course not. Wait a minute" he pulled out his phone and called someone "Ryan, Ineed you to watch Daisy for me tonight" he said then hung up.

"You are giving him night duty to the poor boy?"

He rolled his eyes "he is not innocent. That fucker even hide his mate from me. I need to teach hima good lesson”

"Seriously? Jenny was the one who ignored him"

He chuckled "served him right"

"Are you happy with his misery?" I shook my head.

"Hmm..... I am happy whenever he is in pain”

"You are really something" I shook my head.

Suddenly Hardwick pulled me to him, pressing myself to him "don't you think we should continuewhere we left last time?"

I raised my eyebrows "what happened last time?"

"You don't remember?"

I shook my head.

"Good, then I will start again to make you remember every fucking thing”

Before I could understand he hoist me up on his shoulder making me squeal.

"What are you doing?"

"Making you remember everything darling"
