The year is 2061. Daily life has been disrupted by rapid technological change. Artificial intelligence and cybernetic implants blur the lines between man and machine. Tech companies rule the world, using their vast amount of money, information, and influence. Rose Griffith grew up in this world in a rich family, but after some traumatic events, she replaces herself cut off from any social safety net. She takes increasingly desperate measures to make money as a mercenary in the corrupt and dangerous city of Seattle, in the hope to give her daughter Ellie a better life than she has.
