Comeback Of The Adored Heiress -
Chapter 460
Chapter 460:
The night was peaceful for Madisyn. The next day, she noticed that Jada was being scolded online. She never imagined that Jada would lose her title of the top young lady too.
“How could Jada do something like this? I can’t believe it! I used to admire her so much. She’s so educated, smart, and gentle—definitely not the arrogant type.”
“It’s really shocking! I remember when Jada used to respond to fan messages. I really liked her!”

“Seriously? Why do all my favorite celebrities end up with negative news?”
“Does Jada still deserve the top young lady title? I think it suits Madisyn much better!”
“She can be ambitious, but she can’t pretend to be something she’s not.”
“Jada shouldn’t hold that title! Madisyn is the top young lady in my heart. She auctioned a priceless antique—what a generous act!”
“I agree. That antique was worth a fortune!”
Soon, a poll surfaced pitting Madisyn against Jada. The votes for Madisyn far surpassed those for Jada. Madisyn raised an eyebrow, surprised by the sudden shift in her favor. Her fan base was growing, and her inbox was overflowing with praise.
Just then, Jared called to congratulate her and asked, “Is Jada still part of our organization?”
“I’m not sure,” Madisyn replied casually.
“Alright, I’ll look into it.” A while later, Jared called Madisyn again. “She’s an intern at our organization,” he said, his frustration evident. “How on earth did she become a member?”
“Just leave it be,” Madisyn said nonchalantly.
Jared then asked, “When does the evaluation start this year?”
Madisyn checked her phone and replied, “At the end of the year.”
“Got it. I’ll inform the team.”
Madisyn hung up and turned her attention to an urgent matter. The lab’s research and development on the new medicine had stagnated, and she needed to step in. While Jared was preoccupied with company affairs, an unexpected visitor arrived. “Mr. Cooper, Miss Riggs is here.”
“Who?” Jared asked, puzzled. Jada walked in. Wearing a white dress, Jada looked like a delicate flower swaying in the breeze—elegant, charming, and radiating a subtle air of nobility.
An ordinary man might be captivated by her presence. However, Jared had encountered many beautiful women, and since he met Madisyn, who was exceptionally attractive, no one else could match her in his eyes.
“Miss Riggs, what brings you here?” Jared asked coldly. Jada remained composed despite his cold demeanor. With a warm smile, she approached him and handed over a set of golf clubs.
“Mr. Cooper, I’ve heard a lot about you. I was abroad for a while and didn’t have the chance to visit, but now that I’m back, I wanted to meet you. I brought this as a gift—I’ve heard you enjoy golf, so I thought you might like these.”
Jared inspected the golf clubs, noting their quality, but remained unimpressed. “Miss Riggs, I’m quite busy,” he said, not taking the gift.
Jada, feigning sadness, replied, “Mr. Cooper, did you misunderstand me because of what happened yesterday? I had no idea my assistant would do something like that. I’ve dealt with her, and she apologized.”
Jada feigned deep sadness and continued, “This issue does involve me, so I wanted to extend my apologies for any misunderstanding it may have caused.”
Jared sneered. Did she really think he was naive? Realizing Jared wasn’t swayed, Jada knew getting close to him wouldn’t be easy. But she was prepared.
“I understand you’re also a member of the Qiviut Organization. That’s great! May I seek your help if I have any questions in the future?” Jada looked at him sincerely.
The Qiviut Organization members were elite and generally supportive of each other.
“If you have time, you might want to focus on preparing for the evaluation,” Jared said with a hint of mockery. To him, Jada was just a nuisance. She was far from deserving a conversation about such matters.
Every year, the Qiviut Organization had many interns, but fewer than three would be promoted to full members. Jada’s face paled slightly as she realized that Jared looked down on her. It was clear he was merely toying with her feelings. “I will pass the evaluation and look forward to working with you.”
Jada chose to say no more and left, aware that continuing would only irritate Jared further.
As she exited the company, her phone rang. “Damari’s condition has worsened? Alright, I’m on my way!” In the lab, while Madisyn was deep in research, she learned of Damari’s relapse. Leaving her work behind, she hurried to the hospital.
Upon arrival, she found that Damari had just been stabilized. The doctor was speaking with Andrew. “Your grandfather’s condition is critical. We’ve done all we can, and staying in the hospital might worsen his condition. It’s better for him to return home and spend his remaining time there.”
