Daddy's Little Whore
Daddy’s Little Whore – Part 119

CLINT’s POV

I knew Keira was hiding something from me. From the moment she walked into my office, I noticed how different she was. Her skin was so pale that it had lost all its colour. Black circles adorned the bottom of her eyes. Her sweatshirt and sweatpants were way too casual to wear outside.

I wanted to press her on it, but I did not want to force it out of her. However, the moment she avoided my touch, I needed to know what the hell was going on. As I towered over her, she still seemed reluctant to tell me what the hell was happening.

Then, I noticed how her eyes trailed away from me and in at that moment, her face got way paler than it already was. She was frozen and I began to notice her legs trembled.

Before I could speak, Keira fell to the ground, her eyes wide as she kept looking behind me.

“Keira?” I asked and crouched down, my hands on her shoulder, trying to support her. “What is going on? Talk to me!”

“H-He is here… Calvin is here.”

I was puzzled at her words. Before I could question her further, a male voice boomed from behind me.

“Well, fancy seeing you here, litter sister.”

My eyes snapped back and they fell on a strange man. He was clothed in a black coat, his jet black hair slicked back in a bun. The grin on his face infuriated me for some reason.

Something immediately rang in my head. His words. He had referred to Keira as his little sister. That was when it hit me. My eyes widened and I glared at him.

I picked Keira up from the ground and held her close to me.

“The famous Calvin.” I rolled my eyes at him. “What the f**k do you want?”

Calvin let out a chuckle and clapped his hands. “So my sister has spoken to you about me, I feel quite honoured. Well, I am just here to see my therapist,” he grinned.

“That is an obvious lie,” I spat. “What do you want with Keira? Why have you been stalking her?”

Calvin looked at me with a bit of a confused expression on his face. “Stalking her? Of course not. I am here to remind her of the deal we spoke about.”

I raised an eyebrow at him and turned to Keira, whose eyes were wide and glued to the ground. “Keira, what is he talking about? What is this deal?”

Keira remained mute as her body quivered. Calvin burst into laughter and i switched my eyes to him.

“Looks like your sweetheart here has not informed you of the lovely sibling meeting we had a few days back.”

Calvin began to walk towards us and I stood in front of Keira, like a protective father.

“Stay away from her,” I boomed.

Calvin shrugged. “Keira, time is going by quite fast, don’t you think? I will be patiently waiting for your answer.”

With that vague statement, Calvin walked away from us and down the road. The words he had spoke rung in my head like a loud bell. What was he talking about?

“I am so sorry Clint,” I could hear Keira mutter under her breath.

I looked at her, my face laced with concern. “Why are you apologizing? You did nothing wrong. All I need you to do is tell me what the hell that bastard was going on about.”

Keira’s lips quivered and her eyes blurred with tears. I let out a sigh and ran my hands into my hair.

“Let us talk in the car,” I said and pulled her along with me until we reached my car.

We both slipped in and silence dawned on us, a stifling silence.

“Look, Keira,” I said and turned to her. “I want to help you, so please, just talk to me. You can’t keep bottling this all up. Remember, it is better to talk to someone about your problems, especially your therapist. I am here for you.”

Tears slipped down to her cheeks as she nodded.

“A-A few days ago, Calvin approached me in a restaurant. He asked me to hand the company over to him.”

“What?” I scowled. “That is ridiculous! Why did you not call the police on him?”

“Naturally, that was my plan, until he showed me a picture.”

“What picture?”

Keira burst into full on tears and used her hands to shield her face as she sobbed loudly.

“It was picture of you and me Clint, kissing in front of my apartment.”

My b***d ran cold and I froze in my seat. A picture of Keira and I? Doing something intimate? How on earth had he gotten a photo of that?

My b***d boiled with rage. Calvin was a smart as he was cunning. He took his time to dig into Keira’s life and found a trump card he could use against her.

“He said he would share the picture to every media house, Clint. Do you know what that would mean for us? For you?” Keira sobbed as she looked up at me.

I was fully aware of the consequences that followed if he went through and uploaded that photo. My heart dropped as I reached that realization. It was going to affect me more than it would affect Keira.

“I am so sorry Clint, I got you roped into my life and now you may have to suffer for it. This is all my fault, it is all my fault,” she sobbed.

I reached out to her and wrapped her in my arms, holding her tight.

“None of this is your fault. It was not under your control. All the fault lies with Calvin.”

“But what are we going to do now?”

I let out a sigh and ran a hand through my head. This a tough decision to make. Keira cannot give up the company, but at the same time, we could not afford to let that picture leak to the media.

“M-Maybe we should just hand over the company. That would make everything better.”

I looked at Keira, a frown on my face. “You want to give away your inheritance? The company your father put so much effort into? No Keira, we can’t do that.”

Keira went solemn and nodded. “Yeah, you are right.”

I held her close again and kissed the top of her head. “Let us go back to my place and have you relax.”

She nodded and I got the car running. I could not imagine the amount of anxiety she had been going through ever since Calvin approached her. I hated seeing her like this- skinny, pale and lifeless.

When was this going to all end?
