Daddy's Little Whore -
Daddy’s Little Whore – Part 77
KEIRA’s POV
The sound of my ringtone resonated through my room, pulling me away from my sweet sleep. I kept my eyes closed and tried to go back to sleep, hoping that the caller would eventually give up. My phone stopped ringing after a while, and I began to drift away. However, my phone came to life once again, and I began to get irritated.
It rang for a few more minutes, and I resigned from trying to fall asleep again. I opened up my eyes and reluctantly reached for my phone, which was beside my pillow. I was filled with rage, knowing that someone had awoken me from my beauty sleep.
Who could be calling me at six am in the morning?
I looked at my phone screen, and my heart dropped. The number on the screen was an unknown number, like the one that had sent me a text yesterday. My hands began to tremble, but I decided to pull myself together.
I exhaled and picked up the call, placing the phone on my ear slowly.
“H-Hello?” I could barely utter.
“Keira? Hey, good morning.”
My heart skip a bit when I heard Brendon’s voice through the phone. The amount of relief that ran through me was immeasurable. I let out a long sigh and even chuckled.
“Brendon? It is six in the morning. Why are you calling at a time like this? I was fast asleep, you know,” I whined.
Brendon chuckled, and I could hear the vibrance in his voice.
“Yeah, my bad. I just needed to call you now. I would be heading to school soon.”
“Oh! You have arrived?” I asked eagerly.
“Yeah, I got here a bit late yesterday, and I wanted to call last night, but jet lag got the best of me, and I passed out in my dorm room immediately,” he chuckled.
I totally understood what he meant. A long journey like that could leave one exhausted. “Well, I am glad you are alright.”
“How about you? How are you doing?”
My heart sank at his question. I was obviously not fine ever since I got the text yesterday, but there was no way I could burden him with such heavy information. I bit my lips and pushed myself up into a sitting position.
“Well, you know, just the usuals,” I lied through my teeth.
“Oh? How about therapy? Is it going well?”
I paused for a bit as I recalled my last meeting with Clint. It was not exactly a therapy session. It was just me begging him for s*x. I flushed as my mind was forced to recall the dirty and s****l things we had done in that bathroom.
“Therapy is going well, I suppose. I have one scheduled for today.”
“Well, that is great then,” he said with a low shallow tone.
“Have you called Natasha, though? To let her know you got to the States safely?” I asked.
I heard Brendon scoff, and that roused my curiosity.
“Why would I need to call her? All I need to do is call you, and you can relay whatever I say to her.”
I rolled my eyes and hopped out of bed.
“Now, Brendon, you can’t do that. Natasha is your friend. Calling her should be the bare minimum for you. Promise me you will give her a call?”
Brendon sighed. “Fine, I will give her a call,”
I smiled and walked into the bathroom.
“Great, I have to prepare for classes now. We will talk later?” I inquired.
“Sure, have a nice day.”
I hope I do. I thought as I ended the call.

“And the polymer is usually extracted from this branch of the molecular structure, and the…”
I zoned out as the man spoke in front of the whole class. I looked down at my notebook and saw how empty and lifeless the pages were. It was a given, and I could not focus, no matter how hard I tried. My stepbrother was on my mind, Clint was on my mind, and I worried about Natasha.
My eyes had scanned the hall for her, but she was nowhere in sight. Classes ended shortly after, and I was on my way to the next one. I spent each of my classes with my mind in a haze. I could not remember or recall anything that the lecturers had spoken, not even a single word.
The last classes went by in a blur, and I was grateful to be out of that stuffy hall. I trudged down to the most serene area of the campus to unwind and relax until it was time for my therapy session with Clint.
I walked over to the spot, which had a large tree and a bench underneath it. Beside the bench was a vending machine holding a variety of drinks. To my surprise, my quiet spot was occupied today by a very familiar face.
Natasha was seated on the bench, looking a bit dejected. I grimaced as I approached her. We had not exactly worked things out and had not spoken since the day we saw Brendon off.
I walked over to the vending machine, and neither of us said a word to each other. I exhaled and decided to break the ice.
“Cola?” I said and turned to Natasha.
She looked up at me slowly and shrugged. “Anyone is fine.”
I pressed the button for two colas and picked them up. The air between us was thick and filled with tension as I sat beside her. I handed her the soda, and neither of us spoke for a while.
“Hey,” I spoke up.
Natasha was mute and refused to speak. I let out an exasperated sigh. I did not expect that things would go back to normal immediately.
“Looks like you do not want to talk to me, but I am still going to hammer on my point. You need to tell Brendon how you feel.”
Natasha scoffed. “And then what? Do we start dating? If you think that is going to happen, then you must be really oblivious,” she lashed out.
“But I think it is worth the try. It is better than bottling up these feelings. It will only hurt you more.”
“My feelings will never reach him,” Natasha said and rose up from the bench.
She slung her back across her shoulder and walked away from me. I sighed and looked at my watch. It was already time for my appointment with Clint. I gave Natasha one last look before leaving.
