Daddy's Little Whore
Daddy’s Little Whore – Part 85

CLINT’s POV

I inserted my keys and swung the front door open. After a long day at work, coming home to see Keira was going to be the highlight of my day. I could already envision us relaxing and having a nice dinner together.

I stepped into the house and I immediately heard loud, thundering footsteps approaching. My lips curled into a small smile. I knew who it was. Keira appeared at the entrance shortly after and her lips slowly widened into a small smile.

It was just for a slight second, but I could see her expression was grim. Did something happen to her?

“Hey, welcome. You are back earlier than I expected,” she grinned and swiped my briefcase, along with the bag containing the chicken salad she had requested for.

“Are you alright, Keira?” I asked the moment she turned her back on me and began to make her way into the living room.

Keira stopped dead in her tracks and spun around. Her eyebrow was cocked, and a puzzled looked was plastered on her face.

“Yeah, why?”

“You seem a bit tense and on edge. Did something happen?”

“Oh,” she tucked a strand of hair away from her eyes and shot me a small smile. “Nothing happened, I just got a call from my dad.”

I loosened my tie and walked up to her. “Did he say anything important?”

I noticed how her eyes wandered to the floor and she seemed to be lost in her thoughts for a couple of seconds.

“No, nothing important. He just wanted to know how Natasha and I were doing. He thinks I am back at my apartment after all,” she giggled.

My mind unintentionally trailed to the image I had of Kane when I saw him at the investors meeting. His sunken cheeks and his sucked-in collarbone resonated through my mind. It worried me greatly and Keira had to know about this.

“Hey, remember the investors meeting I talked about?”

“Yeah. The one you had to be at today at the company.” she sauntered into the kitchen, which was connected to the living room and placed the bag of food on the ceramic counter. “What about it?”

“I saw your father. He was looking a bit.. worn out?” I said as I settled myself down on the chair right in front of the counter.

Keira frowned. “What do you mean?” She asked, and I could see the worry in her eyes.

“He looked like he has lost a lot of weight.”

Her hands slowly left the bag, and her eyes strayed to the floor, a blank expression on her face.

“But he looked fine the last time I saw him,” she muttered loud enough for me to hear.

“Well, I think he is overworking himself. Why don’t you take him to the hospital for a full body check-up? Better safe than sorry.”

Keira nodded. “You are right, I will definitely do that,” she smiled, and her eyes warmed as she gazed at me.

For a moment, I caught a mischievous glint in her eyes, and I could tell that she was up to something.

“So, what did you do today? I am sure sitting at home all day must have been boring for you.”

“Well..” Keira bit her lips, and her eyes trailed all around the kitchen.

I followed her gaze, and that was the moment I noticed something was noticeably different about the kitchen. There were red, scented candles placed everywhere and a few red ribbons tied as some kind of decoration.

My eyes switched to Keira, and she had a wide grin on her face.

“Did you have something to do with this?”

Keira walked up to me and whispered in my ear. “Who knows?”

I was about to slink my arms around her waist when she moved away from me and began to walk out of the kitchen and into the living room. I was enticed to follow her swaying h**s.

I rose from the chair and made my way to the living, right behind her. Keira came to a stop in front of the living room and I followed her eyes. The same red-scented candles and the red ribbons decorated the living room.

I breathed out subconsciously and my eyes turned to Keira.

“This is definitely your doing. What is with the extravagant decor? Is today my birthday?” I chuckled.

“I mean, of course not. I just thought that I could make dinner a bit special for us today. I mean, you would not want to have a plain, boring, normal dinner, right?”

My eyes wandered to the decor and I could not help but agree with her. The decor was nice, and it made me happy that she put so much thought into it.

“Well, doing something like this once in a while is not bad,” I grinned.

“Right? It did take me a while to set up all the decor, but seeing that you like it, I do not mind the stress that came with it.”

I looked down at her and planted a k**s on her forehead. “So, why don’t we eat? I am sure you are extremely famished. It did take me an hour to get home.”

I began to walk back to the kitchen when I felt Keira’s soft hands circle around my wrists. I turned to her, and she fluttered her eyes at me, almost seductively.

“Let us have dinner later,” she cooed.

“Later? But I thought you were hungry? And the salad would get cold.”

“We can always put it into the microwave later.”

I raised an eyebrow at her, the edge of my lips curled into a smirk.

“Oh? You seem rather persistent. I thought you wanted to make dinner special?”

Keira giggled. “And that is what I am going to do,” she replied softly.

Her words confused me even more.

“And how are you going to do that?”

She placed a finger over her lips and slid her hand into mine.

“You will see,” she whispered and pulled me away from the living room and into the bedroom.
