DESTRUCTIVE MYTH -
Epilogue
The gods gathered to watch the scene below unfold, Velda had been refrained from leaving court again, her limit amongst the beings reached. Her punishment for neglecting her godly duties thus.
“Guess you can’t live up to your threat now.” Haringvor mocked side-eyeing her from his throne.
“For now, no, but I won’t be bound here by myself for long, you might join the naughty corner with me.” She winked turning away from him.
Haringvor arched a brow, he would not drop to her level, not yet. He had stood by the other gods and even joined in belittling Velda for being so involved, and so attached to the beings upon Relangathian.
Yet now he second-guessed himself.
The gods only got involved in the lives of beings, should it unbalance things greatly. His most recent quest to Dullsdrum to save an elf from being strangled in an old net, had rattled him. Haringvor cast his gaze away from the battle at Talgrim gates to Dullsdrum to focus on the life he had been forced to save in Velda’s absence.
It had been a necessary choice; she was still needed to serve a purpose.
That is not what had him worked up, Haringvor had saved many a life for the greater course. But there was just something, about this one that had him captivated. Perhaps he would introduce himself once she awoke from her coma.
He could do with a bit of fun.
“Where am I?” She sucked in a breath looking through the darkness.
“Safe.” A female voice grumbled.
“I don’t understand?” She began to hyperventilate not understanding where she was, raising her hands in the darkness, unable to see them inches from her face.
“Sleep.” Came the same voice.
“Would you mind burning a light? I’m uncomfortable with dark spaces.” She asked ignoring the request, hoping the female voice would listen, where the hell was she? what was happening?
“Sleep Sinira, you have been asleep in this space for a few weeks now without the need of light.” The voice sighed. “We will talk in the morning.”
“Sin,ira?” She repeated the words as a tear rolled down her cheek, moonlight kisses, midnight pleasures, the smell of his skin, intense emerald eyes, desirable lips, powerful arms around her, safety, a declaration of love.
“DRATHIS?!” Sinira screamed as the fog lifted from her mind, tearing streaming down her face as she recalled the battle, the push into the pit. “Drathis?” She called again waiting for his voice to reassure her everything was ok.
She was met with silence.
