Tyrone chuckled at himself, "I wanted to get close to you, wanted to sleep with you. I thought, maybe I was just interested in your body, and I felt that your temperament was a bit challenging." Quintessa gripped the car door tighter and tighter. The car had good soundproofing; she couldn't hear anything from outside, only Tyrone's voice.

His voice was pleasant, especially when he spoke earnestly.

As if enchanted by his voice, Quintessa listened quietly to every word he uttered.

"After being entangled with you for so long, I found out that you hate me, and the more you dislike me, the more I want to approach you. I couldn't understand why you'd dislike me. I'm such an outstanding person. Humans are truly complex creatures, don't you think? Maybe it's because of my nature. But from the very beginning, I never disliked you. I just wanted to deny that I could be drawn to a woman like you."

"Quintessa, what I mean is..."

Suddenly, Quintessa covered Tyrone's lips, silencing him. She said, "I probably know what you want to say. Just don't, not yet. Let me think for a few days. Don't come looking for me. My mind is a bit chaotic right now. I'm sorry."

Quintessa was overwhelmed, fearful, and unsettled.

She knew the path she was about to tread. It was a solitary one, shrouded in darkness rather than light. She had never dared to contemplate loving anyone. She wasn't afraid of sin or the cold.

Yet, she feared the warmth offered by others. But paradoxically, she desired to touch that warmth.

Such is the contradiction of human nature; those wandering in darkness often yearn for the light the most.

Even if they know that light doesn't belong to them, they still crave to see it.

Tyrone saw the vulnerability in Quintessa's eyes; she couldn't bear any more pressure. This wasn't the right moment.

He sighed and took Quintessa's hand, "Alright, I won't say it. If you wanted to shut me up, you should've done it earlier, or you could've used your mouth. You insisted on stopping me after I said so much. I had everything prepared, I had the words ready. If you keep stopping me, I'll forget the rough draft I painstakingly composed. I won't know when I'll remember it."

Quintessa was amused, "Then let's not talk about it. Pretend you never said anything earlier."

Tyrone immediately protested, "No, absolutely not. I never leave things half-done."

"But what about that time with Mr. Young, doesn't that count as leaving things half-done?"

Tyrone glowered, the message clear: "You go ahead, I won't open the door."

Quintessa sighed, this guy was being stubborn again. She needed to coax him.

She reached out and hooked Tyrone close for a kiss.

Moments later, Quintessa released him, lightly patting his cheek, "Good boy, unlock the door."

Tyrone wiped his lips, "Fine, you're sincere enough, I suppose. You can leave."

The car door opened, and Quintessa got out.

"These few days."

Tyrone scoffed, "I get it, you need

Quintessa, leaning on the door, bent down, "Hmm, you're welcome to 'come to my bed' for that.",
