Fated is overrated
Chapter 131

Zane POV

She ponders on it for a while, before answering "give me one good reason why I should". Well damn, I didn't expect her to do anything other than shoot me down immediately.

Now I am suddenly lost for words. She won't want me to say anything" sappy" again like the fact that I love her, although it is the truth. Luckily for me, my level headed twin speaks up for the both of us. "None of those girls are here with us Lola, they are our friends' girlfriends". Although it is great on-the-fly thinking, we never seem to get things right with Lola, so I wonder what her response will be. "Straight to talking I see. I would still like to know one good reason why I should talk to you at all" she retorts with a casual shrug of her shoulders, as if this whole conversation doesn't mean anything to her. I know it shouldn't sting anymore, but it does. I close the small gap towards her, before Damon's annoying little lap dogs steps in front of her, blocking my path. If we weren't in the human world right now, I would rip their heads off before they even got a chance to shift. "We meant what we said in our texts Lola.

Didn't that kiss mean anything to you?". I try to keep the hurt out of my tone, but I am pretty sure I failed miserably. I see the playboy dragon flinch at the mention of our kiss. That's right f*cker, she kissed us.

Her stoic expression remains unwavering, however. I do see some emotions I can't decipher flicker in her eyes, and I wish I was able to read them. I wish I was able to read her. She looks me dead in the eye and deadpans "it means I was drunk and wanted to kiss someone", before walking off in the other direction, away from us.

Her words shatter my heart and any hopes I gained after she finally kissed me. I had hoped, no, craved, that this would finally mean a new chapter for us. I feel like sh*t and wonder if we are ever going to get through to her. But we have to. 'We will. Mate's Lycan is warming up to us!' Lance sounds almost excited in my head. 'Well, her human sure isn't' I grumble back at him.

'Keep going and give it some time, she will'. Easy for him to say, he isn't the one graveling at her feet and getting his heart stomped on all the time. I am brought back from my internal conversation with Lance when I hear the f*cking prick say "no worries boys, I will be sure to be there for her next time she needs a kiss from anyone"

. As he winks and tries to walk away, both Zeke and I have rushed forward already. Right when I am about to grab this little sh*t's throat, I see Damon enter my peripheral vision.

I should stop, but I am beyond livid at this point. I am already having a minor breakdown on my own, I don't need this little sh*t who thinks he can openly flirt with our mate.

It isn't the smartest to pick a fight with the dragon prince and his friends, but I still grab the f*cker by the throat and lift him off the ground. Zeke is holding back his buddy and, to my surprise, Damon hasn't made a move yet. He is just staring at us unabashedly, with his arms folded across his chest and a devilish grin on his face.

The little sh*t is gasping for air and clawing at my hand, but I refuse to let go. I know he is a dragon and would be tough to beat for normal wolves or Lycans, but Zeke and I have some tricks up our sleeve nobody except our parents know about.

The Royal bloodline has always been favored with special powers, some stronger than others. Our mother has the ability to see if someone is lying or telling the truth, for example.

Our father has great added strength. I can teleport, and Zeke has telekinesis. We have never shown our powers to the outside world, keeping them hidden, in case we ever really need them.

Just when the little sh*t seems to be losing his consciousness slightly, Damon pipes up with a grin "you know, killing one of her new found friends isn't going to help her accept you.

Why can't you 2 knuckleheads get it right?". The f*cker is now full on laughing at us, shaking his head. It pisses me off that he is right, and that I have to let the little b*tch go. I drop him to the ground with a thud, and turn my attention to Damon to sneer "glad you think it's so funny that we have been miserable for over 2 years now.

We used to be friends man. Wait until you replace your mate and start f*cking it up". Damon grimaces at the mention of his mate, but replies exasperated "we are still friends. Just strained friends right now, because you f*cked my sister over. But let me give you some advice. The girl is an independent, strong and stubborn literal queen.

She has trust issues already, to which you guys have done no favors for yourselves by amplifying. Stop letting bimbos hovering all over you or near you, if you want any shot at all with her. And stop trying to act cool, show her you care". Lola POV

I had to get away from there, away from them. The alcohol hit me like a ton of bricks. I don't know what that sambuca sh*t was, but I now know why Trevor and Mike were saying we shouldn't.

I have never been this intoxicated in my life. By now, everything and everyone is moving in slow motion, and I don't have a care in the world.

Everything and everyone is fun! And, Zeke and Zane were looking smokingggggg hot. They had on a black blouse, beneath a blue suit. The top buttons of the blouses were open and their possessive, pissed off look made them look smoldering hot.

They both had a stubble and their blonde hair was naturally perfect and playful, making me want to run my hands through it while I get sandwiched between them.

How do two mates even work, do they take turns? Or would it be a literal sandwich in bed? Maybe having 2 mates isn't that bad after all.....
