Now, Scarlett was indifferent to Julie. Julie used to pretend in front of Scarlett, but Scarlett always ignored her. Scarlett wouldn't have done anything to the Woods family if Julie hadn't shamelessly messed with her.

Julie was back. Scarlett didn't care that Julie liked to put on airs. However, if Julie wanted to play the same trick again...

Even if Scarlett didn't mind it, Raymond wouldn't be happy.

As Scarlett was talking, Alexis suddenly put a piece of apple to Scarlett's lips.

Scarlett looked down at Alexis, opened her mouth, and ate the apple.

While they were chatting, the maid brought soup to Alexis.

Justin hired a cook that was good at making soup. The cook made different soup every day.

Today it was chicken soup. Alexis opened the lid and glanced at Scarlett. "Lettie, do you want to try it?"

The hot steam drifted over. Scarlett smelled the chicken and found it a bit unpleasant. She shook her head. "No. Just eat it yourself."

"The cook is quite good. Are you sure you don't want to try it?"

Alexis suddenly winked meaningfully at Scarlett and asked, "You and Raymond are preparing for pregnancy, right?"

Hearing this, Scarlett couldn't help glancing sideways at Alexis, replying, "You are now getting more and more unashamed."

"Huh, I'm a mother now. Of course, I'm not as shy as before."

Scarlett didn't know how to retort and chuckled, "Eat your soup."

Alexis took a sip and felt that today's soup was even better than yesterday's.

Alexis wondered, 'Why doesn't Scarlett like it?'

Alexis believed that it was because Scarlett had never tasted the soup made by Alexis' cook. She poured some soup into a bowl and handed it to Scarlett.

Scarlett felt sick as she smelt the soup. She hurriedly turned her head and retched.

Alexis froze. "Does the soup smell so bad?' Alexis lowered her head, picked up the bowl, and sniffed at it. "I think it is fragrant.

Scarlett moved away from Alexis before she answered, "I don't like the chicken's smell. It stinks."

Alexis was confused. She looked down and sniffed again. "No. I know that chicken has a special smell, but the cook dealt with it very well. I don't smell anything unpleasant at all. Lettie, you're strange. You weren't this picky before."

Alexis suddenly thought of something, looked at Scarlett incredulously, and asked, "Are ... are you pregnant?"

Hearing this, Scarlett was stunned. "My period is late this month."

Alexis had known Scarlett for so many years and was familiar with Scarlett's period, which had been regular since she graduated from college. It usually started from the third to the fifth day of every month. It was the end of the month, but Scarlett's hadn't got her period yet. Alexis was instantly excited. "You ... you are already half a month late! Your period has always been regular. Lettie, do you want to take a test? I bought some pregnancy tests."

Alexis was so happy. She wanted a daughter but had a son. Scarlett was pregnant. Alexis was eager for a goddaughter.

Realizing this, Alexis didn't even eat the soup. She hurriedly put on her shoes and ran to get the pregnancy test.

Scarlett was surprised. She had thought that her period might just be irregular this month, although she didn't know the reason.

After Alexis reminded her, Scarlett realized that her period hadn't come this month.

Since Alexis had a child, Scarlett planned to discuss with Raymond about preparing for pregnancy.
