Harley was a ruthless boss. Since he found that she had lied to him, he would probably eliminate her quarterly bonus.

After thinking for a moment, Cindy made an instant decision. She ran to the restroom.

The restroom was crowded. Many women from wealthy families were freshening up. Cindy knew them because they were in the same circle.

Yet Cindy was not in the mood to greet or chat with them. She just waved her hand and ran into a stall.

Luckily, this hotel was luxury, and the restroom stalls were spacious and

comfortable.

Cindy took out her phone and told her friends that she had met her boss.

Cindy had sat in the restroom for almost fifteen minutes. She thought that Harley was not that idle and must have left the hall. After all, Harley always hated to participate in such activities. She wondered why he came over here today.

Cindy got up and walked out of the stall. It was already 8.30, and several more women were fixing their makeup in the restroom.

"Ms. James."

Someone, who Cindy was unfamiliar with, greeted her. Cindy smiled politely and stepped out of the restroom.

Damn it!

When Cindy saw Harley, she thought she was hallucinating and rubbed her eyes, only to replace that the person standing in front of her was Harley.

"Does your stomach still hurt?"

The man looked at her with a slight frown.

Cindy felt guilty under his gaze. She had wanted to continue to pretend that her stomach still hurt. She put her hand on her belly but finally didn't dare to do so. "No." "Then tell me why you are here."

He said and turned to leave without giving Cindy a chance to refuse him.

Cindy looked at his back, not wanting to follow him.

However, she knew that if she didn't go with Harley, he would make trouble for her tomorrow.

One could only give in to their bosses.

Cindy twitched her mouth and reluctantly followed Harley.

After walking for a while, Cindy found that Harley had no intention of stopping. She was getting impatient. "Mr. Dane, this place is very quiet. Why don't we talk here?"

She asked cautiously, afraid that Harley would get angry.

Harley looked back at her. "Are you tired?"

He was obviously sneering at her.

"No."

He didn't speak again and continued to lead her forward.

After some time, Harley took Cindy into an elevated garden.

It was quite cold in November.

When the lights came on, Cindy panicked and subconsciously leaned toward Harley. Seeing the small colorful lights, she breathed a sigh of relief and whispered in Harley's ear, "We seem to have intruded into someone else's place."

The lights and the bunch of roses placed not far away showed that it was prepared for a marriage proposal or a declaration of love.
