Flirting With My Ex-husband -
Chapter 1149
"That guy is so handsome! It's a shame he has a girlfriend!"
"What's the problem with him having a girlfriend? It's not like you haven't stolen another woman's boyfriend!"
The two envious women walked away.
Cindy, who was in Harley's arms, blushed like a boiled shrimp.
Harley took a half step back to give Cindy some space to relax a bit.
Cindy peeped up at Harley. She tried to get out of his arms. But his body was as solid as a mountain, and she couldn't push him away a bit. Cindy's face was already reddened. After several failed attempts to push him away, she felt embarrassed and asked, "What do you want?" Harley grabbed her hand and asked, "Am I your boyfriend now?"
Cindy blushed even more at his question. Now her cheeks felt like they had been ironed, "You just kissed me. Do you want to forget about it?"
It was obvious that Cindy got shy, but she tried to act as if she was nonchalant.
Looking at her, Harley's eyes got tender. "Aren't you the one who wants to forget the kiss, Cindy?"
Then he tucked her hair back behind her ears and whispered, "I'll pick you up at your house tomorrow in the morning."
At that moment, Cindy just wanted to run away and replace a place to calm herself down. She had no idea what Harley was talking about. She just nodded her head repeatedly at whatever he said. Harley immediately understood that Cindy hadn't heard what he was saying. He felt helpless, but still, he stepped back and let go of her.
Getting out of his clutch, Cindy immediately darted away, like a bunny.
Cindy ran back to the banquet hall. Seeing the familiar faces, she slowed her pace.
A girl saw Cindy return with a bunch of roses and got curious, "Cindy, where are these roses from?"
Hearing the girl's question, Cindy suddenly remembered that she was holding a bunch of roses. She subconsciously tried to put the roses away, but it was such a big bouquet, and she couldn't hide it. 'Throw it away?'
However, Cindy couldn't throw it away. After all, it was the first bunch of roses Harley had brought her.
While Cindy was thinking, Harley had come up behind her.
Cindy met his eyes, and she felt her face burn. She ran away timidly. She didn't look up at the girl who had just asked her about the roses but walked into the crowd with the roses in her hand. Then, although she had gotten rid of the girl, in the next second, she ran into her brother.
Stephen saw Cindy from a distance.
Glancing at the roses in her hand and seeing Harley watching her all the time from not a far distance, Stephen immediately understood what was going on.
His face darkened, "Did Harley give you the roses?"
Cindy felt awkward, "How did you know?"
Stephen's face became even more gloomy. Sensing that Stephen was unhappy, Cindy asked, "You don't seem happy?"
Well, his sister was hit on by another man. How could he be happy?
"Do you like Harley?"
Cindy blushed as her brother asked her so bluntly.
She looked down at the roses in her hand and nodded her head.
Stephen's face darkened more. After a while, he demanded, "Don't walk far. We'll go back home in fifteen minutes."
Then he turned and walked toward Harley.
Seeing Stephen approach, Harley stood there waiting, as if he had expected Stephen to come to him.
"Mr. James."
