Flirting With My Ex-husband -
Chapter 1158
Cindy opened the box on the spot. She was so thrilled when she saw the necklace with a cute bunny pendant. She immediately grabbed her phone and took a picture of the necklace and sent it to Stephen. Cindy used to have a necklace with a bunny pendant and she really liked it. But in her graduation year, she accidentally lost it when she was shooting her graduation photos.
After the graduation photoshoot, Cindy went alone along the streets where she had been earlier the day and searched carefully, but she didn't get it back.
Cindy actually had many necklaces, but inexplicably, she liked that one the most. It was probably because, as someone said, every time Cindy felt upset, she could touch the necklace and remember the joy she had when she received the gift from the stranger that day.
It was a mysterious gift she received for her eighteenth birthday, but she lost it.
After the graduation ceremony that day, she didn't even feel the slightest bit of joy in graduating. She sat alone on the campus bench for a long time, sad. If Stephen hadn't found her, she didn't know how long she would have sat there.
After graduation, she went back to campus a few times to look for the necklace, and she had posted several notices for it, but it never came back to her. It wasn't until she started working and got busy that she gradually forgot about the necklace. Only when she remembered it occasionally, she would feel lost and regretful.
Surprisingly, Harley gave her a necklace today, and the bunny pendant looked resembled so much like the one she had lost before!
Looking at the bunny in her palm, Cindy blushed slightly, "Harley, did you ever send me a gift before?"
Cindy felt ashamed at her own question. She might have flattered herself too much. After asking the question, she felt her face burn.
But Harley admitted directly, "Yes, I did."
"What? You..."
Cindy was surprised that Harley admitted it so bluntly. For a moment, she didn't know how to respond.
She found it so unbelievable. Last night she had learned that she and Harley had met ten years ago, and she had secretly speculated if Harley had had a crush on her back then.
But Cindy was only guessing. Although she didn't know when Harley had fallen in love with her, she did not fancy herself with the idea that Harley had been secretly in love with her for years. Now, however, Harley told her that the mysterious gift she received on her eighteenth birthday actually was from him.
Putting the two events together, Cindy found it hard not to suspect that Harley had had a crush on her for years. Cindy looked down at the pendant in her palm. After a while, she couldn't help but ask, "Since when did you like me?" Cindy had always been a shy girl.
Immediately after the question, her face was reddened.
The car in front of them seemed to start. Harley glanced at Cindy and then withdrew his eyes.
Just as Cindy thought Harley wouldn't answer her question, Harley abruptly uttered, "Long time ago."
Hearing his answer, Cindy was stunned. After a few seconds, she came back to her senses. She tilted her head, lifted her hands to cover her burning cheeks, and asked, "When was that?" Harley was looking at the road ahead and he swallowed slightly. He didn't answer Cindy's question.
It was years ago, so many years ago. It was probably even earlier than Cindy thought.
The first time they met in Cindy's memory wasn't actually the first time Harley had seen her. Cindy wouldn't have known when it was, because she never knew that there was that one guy who always liked to watch her from afar.
