Flirting With My Ex-husband -
Chapter 1307
The restroom was almost empty. Alison washed her face and tied her hair up in there. She collected herself and then went out to Luis. When she came out of the restroom, she had completely calmed down.
But when she thought that Alexa had seen the pictures on Oliva's phone, her mind was in turmoil.
"I'm fine. Thank you."
Luis glanced up from his phone at Alison, and his eyes fell on her face. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "Shall we go back?"
Alison didn't catch Luis' question. In a few seconds, she came to her senses and waved her hand, "I'm fine, really! Don't worry about me. Go back to your business."
Luis frowned, "Are you sure you want to go on shopping with Alexa?"
Alison certainly didn't want to continue shopping with Alexa. She just wanted to be alone.
Since she was adopted by the Lynchs, the half and one month she spent in the Lynch family had been so peaceful and happy. The nightmarish past seemed to be gone forever.
But earlier she ran into Oliva. The things Oliva said and the pictures she showed reminded Alison once again of how miserable and nasty her past really was.
Alison's eyes glanced at Luis, and she said, "No, I want to be alone."
Luis didn't want to interfere with her business, "OK." "Thank you." Alison sighed in relief, her lips compressed and her grip on the strap of her bag tightened.
She glanced at Luis again and then turned to exit the mall.
She didn't know where to go. This was the first time she'd been here.
As he watched Alison walking further and further away in her white dress, the desperate, vacant look in Alison's eyes as she was dragged across the street came back to Luis' mind. Luis felt annoyed. He had no choice but to catch up with Alison.
Alison hadn't gone far from the mall. Suddenly, the strap of her bag was tightened, and she was grabbed by someone. Her face immediately turned pale again.
"It's all commercial streets here. There's no place for you to be quiet."
At the sound of Luis' voice, Alison's tense heart relaxed. She was worried she'd run into Oliva and her friends again.
Alison tugged on her bag strap and looked at Luis. She hesitantly said, "There's a park nearby."
"The park is full of people on weekends."
Luis glanced at her. Before she could say anything else, he tugged on the strap of her bag and demanded, "Come with me."
"Where are we going?" Alison was surprised. Her head was numb.
Luis was tall and had long legs. He walked fast.
Alison couldn't keep up with him. She stumbled through the crowd as he tugged on the strap of her bag. Finally, she couldn't help but tug at Luis in front of her," Hey! Can you slow down? I can't keep up with you!"
Alison was embarrassed. Luis turned around and saw her face reddened.
Alison was in a hurry. Her voice was loud and rang in the crowd. Many passersby turned their eyes to them.
Luis' eyes fell on Alison's almond eyes, which were still a little red from crying, with a little awkwardness in them, looking at him with a hint of embarrassment.
Such a scene reminded Luis of the rabbit he had kept before. He stared at her for a while, then he let go of her hand and said," Follow me."
Then he withdrew his eyes and turned to walk on. He didn't tug on the strap of her bag again, but his pace slowed down.
So many people came out to have fun for the weekend, especially at Couple Street, such a busy commercial area. The streets were full of people on weekends. Alison followed behind Luis. She nearly bumped into others several times.
She didn't know where Luis was taking her. She wanted to go home, but she was afraid Luis would be upset.
