He could make simple porridge, but he had never cooked dishes.

"I trust you!"

"Okay."

Half an hour later, Scarlett was standing outside the kitchen, looking at Raymond who was wearing an apron. She was lost in thought.

She just said that on a whim, but unexpectedly, Raymond asked someone to send the ingredients over.

Scarlett's mother was bad at cooking. Her father cooked for them. Sometimes

Scarlett's mother asked her to cook with her father, but Scarlett always burnt the

ingredients.

Scarlett's mother watched by her side, asking with amusement and concern, "You can't cook. What if you have to cook after getting married?"

Whenever this happened, Scarlett's father would say, "My sweetie is so pretty and smart. Who would ask her to cook? She can marry a man who is willing to cook for her."

If her dad were still alive, he would like Raymond.

What a pity!

"What are you thinking about, baby?"

A low mellow voice suddenly came over. Scarlett came out of her trance. She looked up, seeing Raymond standing in front of her. He was wearing a lovely apron printed with a cartoon figure. It was chosen by Scarlett, looking ridiculous on Raymond. Scarlett couldn't help laughing while staring at him. "Raymond, you look so funny in this apron."

Raymond looked down at the apron he was wearing. His eyes were filled with tenderness and resignation. "Didn't you give it to me?" Scarlett grunted. "Is the lunch prepared yet, Mr. Shaw?"

"No."

"Then what are you doing here?"

Just after Scarlett said that, Raymond put a piece of tomato into her mouth. "Is it sweet?

Scarlett chewed for a while. "Yes."

"How sweet is it?" "Can't you taste it yourself?" As she had never cooked, she didn't know how to describe how sweet the tomato was. "Oh, then I'll try it."

He held her in his arms, leaned down, and kissed her.

After half a minute, he removed his lips from hers, gazing passionately at her. He gently rubbed his thumb on the corner of her lips. "Yes. It's even sweeter than sugar."

Scarlett watched him return to the kitchen counter. She abruptly smiled, touching her lips warmed by Raymond. As if scalded, her fingers trembled slightly.

Scarlett quickly withdrew her hand with a soft cough. "My phone rang."

Scarlett didn't lie.

Alexis was calling her.

Scarlett walked to the balcony. The sunlight was a bit hot at eleven o'clock. She looked down at the sycamores and gradually calmed down. "What's up?" "Lettie, do you remember what you promised me last time?"

Scarlett thought for a moment. "Yes. Why?"

"We'll start filming next weekend. Keep the weekend free. Love you!"

Scarlett smiled. "Got it."

She didn't expect Alexis to talk about this. Did she look like someone who would stand Alexis up?

Hearing Scarlett's reply, Alexis hung up the phone contentedly.

Scarlett held the phone, recalling what Larry said a few days ago. She couldn't help raising her eyebrows.

If she took Raymond back on her grandpa's birthday, would her grandpa be angry? This was indeed a problem.
