"Scarlett, it's time to eat."

Raymond's voice brought Scarlett's thoughts back to the present. She turned to walk out.

Raymond put four dishes on the table.

She had to admit that cooking was something about talent.

Scarlett hadn't got the makings of a good cook. She could destroy the kitchen, while Raymond was talented. They all cooked according to the recipes, but the dishes made by him were as delicious as those of the restaurants.

After lunch, Scarlett got up to clean the kitchen. Raymond stopped her. "I'll do it."

"But you cooked. Let me wash the dishes.

It's fair."

"I don't want fairness."

Raymond glanced at her, taking the fork from her hand.

There was a dishwasher in the kitchen. They didn't need to wash the dishes by themselves.

Yet hearing this from Raymond, Scarlett was happy.

"Raymond, do you want to see my grandfather?"

Raymond froze, turning to look at her. "Can I?"

Scarlett looked at him with a smile. "No."

Raymond held her hand, ignoring what she had just said. "When?"

Scarlett raised her pretty eyes. "My grandfather's birthday is in early August."

She paused. "Not that day."

She didn't want to annoy her grandpa on his birthday. Scarlett was not like Yvonne, who was heartless to her family.

"But in normal times, there is no reason for you to meet him."

Scarlett tilted her head, looking at Raymond awkwardly.

Raymond knew she said that on purpose. He patiently said, "Your birthday is July 16. Before your birthday, I'll accompany you to the Tank family, OK?"

Hearing this, Scarlett was a bit surprised." How do you know about my birthday?"

She had "two" birthdays. The official one was on her birth certificate, but she had only celebrated her birthday on July 16 since childhood. She was born on July 16, but the birthday on the certificate was recorded as July 26 by mistake. Scarlett's parents didn't pay attention to it at first. When they found the date was wrong, it was not convenient to correct it.

Raymond stared at her. His Adam's apple bobbed. "You kissed me on your birthday last year."

Yes. Alexis encouraged her to play the game with them!

Thinking of that incident, Raymond was a bit nervous. "If that person had not been me, would you have kissed him?"

Scarlett looked at him with a grunt. "Yes. Didn't I tell you it was just a game?"

She withdrew her eyes. "Katherine said this melon is very sweet. Try it."

Raymond smiled at her. "Scarlett, you wouldn't."

Since she was seen through, Scarlett didn't feel embarrassed anymore.

She also smiled. "Then why did you ask me?"

He suddenly hugged her. They became close to each other. Scarlett blinked at him.

"I wanted to hear you say it."

"I'm not stupid."

Why should she admit she was resentful at that time?

"You're not stupid. You wouldn't because you love me."

Scarlett looked at him and suddenly laughed. "Why are you so confident?"

Raymond touched the corner of her eye. "

I'm in your eyes."

Not to be outdone, Scarlett said, "Then I have to remind you that your eyes are full of me and desire."

Raymond gave a wry smile. "Scarlett, don't tease me."

He paused and added, "A man of my age is very vigorous."

Scarlett flushed, picked up a piece of melon, and put it in his hand. "Eat melon, Mr. Shaw."
