From Here to Ecstasy
Chapter 4 - Not My Man

Recap:

Mom went over the challenge rules, as if there were rules. The only one I had ever heard was a rule was the one about interfering or stepping out of the ring.

“Fight!” My mom yelled.

Autumn's POV

“I challenge this bitch.” She pointed at me. “For your mate.”

I narrowed her eyes at the witch for a second and laughed darkly. “I’m afraid you would need to beat both of us for him to be your mate.” I turned until I was inches away from the witch's face. “He’s both our mates and he was Goddess given to us!" I tilted my head to the side in question. "And, who in the hell challenges for a person’s mate? You’re not even a wolf.”

“I don’t care. I’ve wanted him the moment I saw him, but I wanted to see what it would be like to be a Luna. I wanted to have my pick of children from this pack for my spells,” she told me as she gasped loudly, covering her mouth with her hand. “What the fuck did you do to me? A truth spell? Really?”

“It’s nice to know how evil you are. I will gladly take your life from you,” I told her, a grin on my face, one that scared the hell out of my siblings. “Oh, and I truth spelled you.”

“Autumn, there can’t be challenges for mates without the permission of said mate,” my mom told me, an evil grin on her face, her hands rubbing together as if she was a villain.

“What say you, Beta Micah? Do you agree to the challenge for you,” My mom tried to say without breaking out with a big smile.

He looked at me, making up his mind about the challenge. “I agree.” The witch smiled at him, glee in her eyes. “But, you never will win me, you evil bitch!”

The evil bitch had some last words to my mate. I narrowed my eyes as she licked her lips, looking my mate up and down.

Oh, hell no!

This nasty bitch was not getting her hands on my mate. She wouldn’t touch him at all. I was happy he was trusting me and agreeing to this fight. He had to know that I would never let anyone have him. He was mine and Winter's.

Mine,” Faith growled in the back of my mind as she paced back and forth. “Tear her up, Autumn, but be sure not to fight in anger. Calm yourself and I’ll try to help keep us calm if I can.”

Mom went over the challenge rules, looking between both of us. I was pulled out of my boredom when I heard the words I was waiting for. “Fight!” My mom yelled.

Autumn's POV

I stood still, checking my nails out and completely ignoring the witch. She didn’t agree to any restrictions in our challenge. I wondered if she was going to use her death spell. The spell was all kinds of nasty. It caused the witch to age a little. But, the person hit by the spell could die instantly. It wasn’t something I wanted to die from, especially from this witch who wanted my man.

“Are you going to stand there all day, little girl,” the witch tried antagonizing me in a baby voice, but it wasn't working.

Faith growled. "Not my man. A fight she wants, a fight she will get."

“You challenged me. I was going to give you time to nut up and go first. I guess I will have to start,” I dryly said as I looked at my nails again. I wanted to piss her off enough to start something. I could have killed by now but I wanted to see what she had.

The earth let me know that she was coming towards me and the air let me know how many men she had been with - something I could have done without knowing. As soon as she got close enough to me I reached out and grabbed her throat, pulling a move I watched my mom do. I slammed her down on the ground hard, breaking bones and getting a scream from her.

I was being cursed out in three different languages. I was waiting for her to throw a spell at me but she pulled back and punched me right in the kisser. I didn’t feel anything but a little tap. She thought she had the upper hand as she punched me again. I grabbed her hand and broke all the bones in her hand and wrist. She screamed so loud Faith and I winced, the rest of the pack were covering their ears, shaking their heads to try and rid the ringing.

“You must be all kinds of stupid. You could punch me all day and nothing would happen, other than me breaking your bones.” I looked at her hand and smiled. “Looks like you won’t be touching my mate with that hand, huh?” I sarcastically asked.

She yelled at me, finally sending the death spell at me. I put up a block between us, a block that would send the spell back on her. She was smiling at me, thinking she had won. But, she slowly realized the death spell was bouncing back.

“No! No! How did you-” She gasped as she aged, not being able to say anything for a minute. “You killed me with my own spell,” she whispered as she died.

I didn’t want to kill anyone, but I couldn’t let challengers think I would be an easy target. We had to be fair until we couldn’t be fair anymore. This said challenge was because of a sad little girl who wanted power any way she could get it. I didn’t understand people who wanted what wasn’t theirs. It was a fight I had seen over and over, one I had hoped would be over after our last battle. I guess people thought the grass was greener on the other side and they thought they could take it.

Winter and our mate, Micah, ran to me. Micah was checking me over, looking for any injury. “I thought she had hurt you. You’re not even bruised where she hit you,” he commented as he hugged Winter and me.

“I was spelled from harm, Micah. She could have hit me every day forever and I wouldn’t feel it or bruise,” I explained to him as I hugged him as hard as I could.

“He knows, Autumn. I made sure to tell him, but when you haven’t seen our spells in action no one knows for sure if we would be okay. He trusted you to fight her challenge to you,” Winter explained as she smiled. “Thank the Goddess you didn’t lose us our mate.”

I started laughing as Micah blushed, causing me to laugh more. His blush was cute and it let us know he hadn’t been with anyone. I didn’t know how I would feel if he hadn’t been a virgin. I know I would still love him. It’s just nice to see someone other than our dads waiting for their mate. We were going to have fun figuring out our love life. I had no idea what to do with my mate and sister, but we would figure it out.

“You’ve rested enough, Autumn,” my mom jested with me.

I sighed and grabbed her outstretched hand as she pulled me up. “I wasn’t resting, Mom-”

“-I know. You were telegraphing your thoughts to me,” my mom whispered, causing my eyes to widen and me to gulp.

She shook her head at me. “I knew you would have questions. I have a book in my bag that can help you and Winter. I teleported it in your suitcase.”

Shit!
