Recap:
“Woah,” Griffith, Winter, Autumn, and Micah exclaimed as they looked at me.
“Oops. I meant to send it to my mate, but I guess I sent it to all of you. Wow, for sure,” I explained as I looked around, my eyes wide.
“We need to work on our parts of the images that Willow sent to each of us. We need to put it in order-” Griffith tried saying.
“-he can put it in order,” I said as I pointed at Micah.
Willow’s POV
“Close your eyes, Micah. Study the images and see if they fall in place. You can do it,” Autumn encouraged him as I nodded my head.“What? Me? I’m not a witch,” Micah disagreed as he shook his no at me.
I laughed at his words. “Your aura changed when you were helping to figure out the spell. You are now a strong witch with another power. You can put them in order faster than any of us.”
I watched as Micah closed his eyes, trusting his mates’ words. He steadied his breathing as he sat in the lotus position. I could see him emptying his mind of everything but the images. It took him a while to center himself. I was worried I had steered him wrong, especially when Winter looked at me in question.
We watched as Micah raised his hands, making different signs of the spell. I was excited, but I was trying to keep my heartbeat slow. He didn’t need any distractions. He started mumbling a spell, getting louder after the first sentence.
“Take this spell away”
“Keep us all safe!”
“Help me to do this Moon Goddess!”
“Without any loss!”
I felt the spell click in place, releasing itself from the bag as Micah deflated. I was worried about him but I knew his mates would make sure he was okay. I was just as curious as everyone else. I wanted to see what was in the bag.
“Great job, Micah,” Griffith praised him as he opened the bag.
We all looked over as he opened the bag. I heard him gasp as he looked up at me and smiled. “Everyone did a great job.”
As Griffith turned the bag upside down we all gasped again. There were gold bars and bills - dollar bills that were stacked and banded together. I couldn’t believe how much money was in the bag. Nobody collected gold bars anymore, but I knew what they were worth by the ones the ass-hat had. I had to replace top dollar for him.
“Those gold bars are worth millions, Griffith. I can tell by how they look.” I looked up at him. “And, when I say millions I mean, hundreds of million dollars.”
“Really?” He asked as I nodded my head.
“I can get you top dollar for them if you want me to,” I told him as I smiled.
He nodded his head and pulled the cash to him and started counting. It took him a while to count all of it, but when he was done his eyes got wide, his mouth dropped open and he looked at us in surprise. “He hid six hundred million in this bag.” Our mouths dropped open.
I knew the bastard was a thief. I had met him before and didn’t like him. He was untrustworthy. He was a pervert. He tried hard to get the ass-hat to let him have me for a night. He offered money and gold, but the ass-hat wouldn’t let him have me - for which I was glad. One brute was enough for me.
“I don’t think you should put the money back in the safe. Who knows if someone from this pack knows where the safe is,” I stated as I looked around me.
“I agree,” Micah remarked.
“Winter, can you go to the bank and deposit this money? Put the gold bars in a locker at the bank and Willow can figure out how much they’re worth,” Griffith explained as he put the money back into the bag and handed it to her.
“No problem. Am I going to put this in my name?”
I shook my head no. “Take Micah with you. He can change into Griffith and put it in Griffith’s name.” I looked at Griffith. “Is that okay, Griffith?”
He pulled me into his lap. “An excellent idea. Can you do it, Micah?”
Micah changed into Griffth. “Yep. I think I can,” he said as we laughed.
“Let’s go, brother,” Winter joked as she shuddered. “I can’t wait for you to change back into yourself. It’s a little freaky.” She looked at him and smiled. “Don’t be thinking you can kiss me right now.” She shuddered again as I laughed.
They disappeared as we went through the bills, putting the past due ones on top. They were our first priority. They had to be paid as soon as possible or we would never be able to use their services.
“Shit!” We looked up at Winter. “I needed to tell you something important about the bruja. When I jumped into the Brice I questioned Anthony about where Brice needed to go if he got lost.” She paused to take a breath. “Anthony told him to look for the red and black sign in the east.”
“I don’t know where that is…” Griffith trailed off as he watched my face go pale. “What is wrong, Willow?”
