Chapter 93 - Suck

Dedicated to N.Y.O.B, oddball and Tisha Peru. Thank you for keeping up with the chapters and commenting. I have a smile on my face all day long when I read them.

Recap

“Haven’t been there for a long time. Although, you should go back to sucking off your men,” I casually shot back, a bored expression on my face.

“Nice one, Sonny,” Windy told me.

I could see the anger right under his skin. He was trying not to shift. I could see the calculated look on his face. He wanted to test me and Windy. He thought he would do a better job as King. But, what he didn’t understand was he had to have a Royal wolf and I would bet my left nut he doesn’t.

No, I didn’t mind ‘playing’ king,” he said slowly as he used air quotes. “But, we needed someone in the castle to keep it running. I’m not sure if you are qualified to do the job. You’re only a boy,” he answered with a challenging look on his face.

Do what?” My wolf yelled through our link to all their wolves.

Sonny’s POV

I cocked my head at him and raised an eyebrow. “And, what? Do you want to challenge me or something, Dean?” I calmly asked as I stared straight into his eyes.

“That would be too easy, boy. I need to see to the warriors anyway, why don’t you join me,” Dean said with a smirk on his face as we walked to the warriors training in their circles.

“Oh, is it your turn?” Windy asked innocently.

Oh, crap! Windy feigning innocence was a disaster waiting to happen. I was too curious to stop her from her words. And, I wanted to hear what she said to him.

Imbecile.

“Yes, girl, it’s always my turn to check out the warrior’s,” the idiot said.

“Oh, maybe we should hang back and give you some privacy. We don’t want to interfere with you sucking them off.” Windy innocently smiled at him as Windy pulled me back a little.

High five.

Again.

“What?” His eyes were like storm clouds as he turned towards Windy. “I don’t need privacy. I’m not ‘sucking’ them off. I was going to make sure they were training.” Dean muttered, “Idiot.”

“Oh, okay. I just wanted to make sure.” She turned towards me, a sly grin on her face. “What does it mean to suck someone off?”

I shook my head at her innocent act. I knew she learned about sex from our mother, and I was sure our mom went over more than our dad did. “When you replace your mate you’ll replace out, okay?”

“And she’s supposed to be a Royal Beta? I could set her up in training with one of our warrior women,” I heard Dean tell his men.

I chuckled darkly, knowing Windy heard what he said. I knew a way to shut Dean up, but I wanted Windy to show him what she was made of. If he thought she would be a weak and stupid woman, he was in for a surprise. Windy was calculated, quick, and could figure out her opponent’s weaknesses in seconds. She flowed around the challenge circle as if she were a dancer. Every move she made looked choreographed. When she was done with you, you wouldn’t be able to move for days, if she didn’t kill you.

"I’ll take the challenge. I have a feeling Ruby is here. She’s going to try and strip me of my magic, but I don’t need it,” Windy mind-linked me with a huge grin on her face.

“Alright,” I whispered.

“Hey, do you think I fight one of the warrior women, Sonny? I want to practice and see if I’ve gotten better,” Windy confided to me in a whisper yell, knowing Dean and his band of idiots would hear her.

“Are you sure, Windy? You might get hurt fighting one of the warriors,” I whisper yelled to her as we came to a stop.

“Yes.”

“Dean, do you think you could set up my Beta with one of the warrior women? She wants to get better. I just don’t want one of them to kill her…” I trailed off, trying to sound worried about her fighting skills.

“Sure.” He looked Windy up and down. “But, she will probably get hurt. She doesn’t look as if she could hold her own,” Dean stated in a condescending tone of voice.

I could tell Windy was still feigning innocence. Dean was about to get a lesson in why you don’t mess with anyone from the Royal line or the Black Blade pack. Even without Windy’s magic, she was a force to be reckoned with. I was ready to see Windy in action.

Our parents had taught us to fight with magic and without. She wanted to make sure we could take care of ourselves if our magic was stripped away from us. Windy had excelled at the fighting techniques, even adding her own moves. She knew she had to learn to take care of herself considering she had been a witch with no wolf. She could take down a full-grown male wolf faster than any wolf could.

Royal Beta,” he sneered. “This is Darla. She will spar with you. I assume this fight is until submission and not to death?”

Sonny looked at me. “I don’t see why anyone should be killed in a spar, injured yes, but not killed,” Windy nervously answered as she played her part to perfection.

I saw the warrior woman look at Dean as the mind-linked each other. I was questioning whether she worked with him too. She stood up at attention and bowed her to the imposter. I was ready to kill him myself, but I had to know what was going on with him and how many of the castle occupants were helping him.

“Go on, little girl. Just follow her to the training circle in the middle. Everyone wants to see if you’re Beta material or not,” Dean sneered as he walked to the middle of the field.

Pfft, stupid idiot. I’ll show him what a true Beta looks like,” Windy told me through our mind-link.

“Don’t show him your new power, Windy.” She looked at me as if I was an idiot. She shook her head and skipped to the center training circle, holding her hand for me to take.

I inwardly groaned. I hated it when she acted as if she was an airhead and a little girl. But, I knew she only did it now to prove a point to Dean and the others who were surrounding the challenge ring. I caught up with her and grabbed her hand. She entered the training circle and looked around at everyone gathered. She waved and smiled as she won an award.

I caught her eye and almost snickered out at the people laughing. I held it in and smiled at her, a knowing smile that said to kick her ass.

I’ll be alright. Just watch your back,” Windy mind-linked me. I nodded and made sure my wolf on high alert, of course, my wolf only snickered at me.

I watched as Windy did stretches and bends to loosen up, but she was exaggerating every move she made. I, of course, got a wink from her. I watched the warrior woman as she snickered with her friends. I saw money being handed off and knew they were all betting on the outcome. I decided to bet one-hundred-dollars on Windy from a guy who came around asking for bets. He looked at me as if I had lost my mind, but I shrugged it and him off.

Once all the bets had been taken the rules of engagement were laid out. I noticed the guy, one of Dean’s men, didn’t add if it was to the death or submission. I was sure Windy heard what he didn’t say, but she shrugged it off and got in a fighting stance, except she had made it look as if she was shaking. I wanted to laugh but stuck to a smirk.

The fight started and nobody moved. I could tell the warrior was waiting for Windy to make the first move, but I knew Windy wouldn’t. She had a way she fought. But, if she stood there for more than ten-minutes then she would hit you with everything she had.

I was getting bored and Windy was looking at her nails as if she wasn’t in a training circle. I also knew she was aware of everything around her. I saw movement in the corner of my eye as the warrior barrelled towards Windy...
