Her Destined Alpha
Chapter 9

RAYHAN

I’m seriously beginning to wonder if I’m speaking a different language or something. I had just explained to the three of them how I met her. Yeah, Chris went and got the girls too, so here we were sitting as I impatiently kept glancing at the time. I needed to go to her.

”So let me sum this up. You went for a walk, your mate ran into your arms, and then you killed some witches. Then she took you home, took care of you, and then told you to get out?” Lola asked, raising an eyebrow. ”Why would she do that … ?” Rose asked, frowning slightly.

”Wait, she’s a human, isn’t she?!” Ok, time to tell them…. But… I looked at Chris. Both his parents had died in Endora’s attack. I still remember the day he was told, the pain and denial in his eyes before he looked at Dad and asked what duties he wanted him to do first. Taking the spot as Delta first and mourning the loss of his parents second.

I suddenly realised, with a cold rush of clarity, that I needed them to see Delsanra for who she is first. ”Yeah, a human,” I lied. It felt like swallowing a bitter pill, lying about my mate’s truth as if I was ashamed – I wasn’t. I had always been one of the rare few who agreed that not all witches were bad, and now I was going to prove that no matter what. I just hoped they came to like her without her identity as a witch making that decision for them.

”Wow! A human… that’s super rare, especially for a Luna…” Chris said with a whistle. ”I’m sure she’s perfect, there’s a reason,” Rose said with a Selene paired you. confident smile. Lola was observing me, and I knew she was gauging my reaction.

”Yeah, I’m sure there is a reason, and I’m sure she’ll come around sooner or later,” I said smoothly.” So, what’s the plan? Are you going to go Alpha mode; kidnap her, make her fall for you and all that rubbish?” Lola asked, narrowing her eyes. Yeah, I know some idiots have done that, but neither was it allowed nor was I going to do something so stupid. ”No, obviously not.”

”Good,” She sounded relieved, Rose smiled at her and k!ssed her cheek. ”But I’m going to follow her, get up in her personal space and charm her. I’ll have her falling for me soon enough. Lola looked at me sceptically. ”You’re going to be a freaky stalker creep?”

”Yeah, I don’t think that’s the smartest decision, babe,” Rose agreed. ”I’m not going to be a stalker, I’m just going to be around, coincidentally…” Rose was about to protest, but Lola wrapped her arms around her. ”Ignore him Sunshine, he’s stubborn.

”Ok, so where do we go first? We want to see our Luna too,” Chris added with a smirk. ”We are not going anywhere. I’m going to go see what she’s up to. Alone.” I said, standing up. ”Wouldn’t it be better if you casually ran into her with friends, rather than alone?” Rose reasoned. ”No, I don’t want to overwhelm her. See you ladies later.” I turned before Chris spluttered. ”Wait, what? Ladies? Did you call me a lady? Or did you just forget I was here ?! Either way, that’s an insult!” I ignored him as I left, ready to see my little kitten again…

It took me twenty minutes to track her down. At a small diner not far from where I met her last night. ”So, she’s in there, huh?” Lola’s voice came from behind me. I sighed. Yes, I picked up their scent following me a while back and chose to ignore them. At least they thought they were doing a good job of hiding and I didn’t have to hear them talk too much. One thing about my friends, they didn’t really take no for an answer. ” Yes, she is.

” So, let’s casually go for brunch. ” Lola said, placing her elbow on my shoulder. ” She might be less overwhelmed, put it down to coincidence. ” I doubt that. She knew what I was … ” Ok fine. But don’t make it obvious.

” Umm … I think you’ll be the one gawking at her and making it obvious. ” Chris added as I led the way to the diner. I had to lower my head at the door. Stepping inside, the bell tinkled and a round, older woman at the counter looked up.

” Morning! Lovely day, isn’t it ?! ” ” It’s gloomy? ” Chris offered. ” But seeing you made my day a whole lot brighter. ” ” He winked at her and she turned a bright shade of red.

”Oh, you kids these days … Take a seat! Someone will be right over!” She chortled. I looked around, her scent was strong, and as much as I wanted to replace her and bury my nose in her neck, I settled on replaceing a table with a good view of the entire diner.

”So where is she? ” Chris said. This time Lola did the honours of kicking him under the table.” Seriously? We just got here. We will replace out who she is. Just keep an eye on Rayhan.” She mocked. ”He’ll be panting the moment she steps out,” The rest snickered, and I frowned. After being called a dog by Delsanra, I did not appreciate that reminder. ”Do you guys want to leave?” Lola said, not sorry at all,

”Ok, ok, sorry . as she laughed and picked up the menu that stood on the stand at the centre of the table. ”What are you guys getting?” They began discussing the menu whilst I fixed my eyes on the back entrance. Just then, the door opened, and she stepped out.

In the morning light, her hair was literally glowing, pulled up into a s*xy bun. She wore a fitted white top that emphasised her gorgeous figure and showed a hint of cleavage, paired with black fitted jeans and black boots. Damn, she was gorgeous …

She hadn’t seemed to have noticed me yet, as she tied an apron around her waist. My eyes fell on her breasts, the faint outline of her bra catching my attention. She tensed and looked up sharply, her eyes meeting mine, I could hear her heart racing from all the way over here.

”Ana! Go take our first customers orders.” The woman behind the counter murmured to her, urging her to hurry up. ”Sure …” Delsanra replied. ‘So that’s her, huh?‘ Lola mind linked. ‘She is pretty…‘ Rose admired, earning a slight pout from Lola. Lola was definitely the more possessive and jealous one. ‘Not as beautiful as you, Sugar,‘ Rose replied.

‘She’s tiny!‘ Chris added as we all watched Delsanra walk towards us. I tried my best not to lose myself in the sway of her h**s … ‘She isn’t that small,‘ Lola added. ‘Just very slender, She’s coming over.‘

I couldn’t drag my eyes away from her, I saw the frown forming as she gave me a cold look, stopping in front of our table and turning towards the girls. Giving me a good view of her derriere. Oh, if only you knew what I want to do with you, kitten …. ”What can I get you guys?” She asked, clicking the back of her pen as she opened a new page of her notepad. ”Can we get you?” Chris asked with a flirty smirk.

A sudden flare of anger I had never felt before rushed through me as I slammed my foot on his. He jumped, his knee hitting the table loudly, hissing in pain as he looked at me shocked. He wasn’t the only one, as all three women stared at me stunned. The familiar look of fear and hatred swam in Delsanra’s eyes.

Shit. I needed to control my temper. ”The menu is in front of you …” She said in a clipped tone. ‘ Is it ok for our Luna to be getting our food? ‘Rose asked through the link.‘ Not much we can do about that.

She looks like she hates us … We need to change that‘ Lola added. The tension was thick, and I knew even Chris was too shocked to reply. I felt a little bad for overreacting … when I knew that flirting was his second nature.

”I’ll come back when you’re ready to order.” She was about to turn away when I grabbed hold of her wrist. ”Hey, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” She raised an eyebrow, looking at me scornfully as she pulled free.

”You’re apologising to the wrong person, aren’t you? Seriously, I don’t know what you want but just go away.” FF She turned and stormed off, the rejection and humiliation I felt was so f*cking painful. Dammit. The table was silent, and I couldn’t even look at any of them.

I guess now I didn’t need to tell them just how much she hated me … Lola reached over, placing her hand on mine, but I didn’t even look at her. My Luna had just told me, upfront, just how much she hated me.
