Beta Liam

Marcus starts sweating and shaking and I know his heart must be racing but still, he tries to mask it, knowing how scared he is just adding to the enjoyment now, thinking back to how scared my girl must have been the day he attacked her pack.

How much she must have been scared realising she was alone with a 6-month-old baby, seeing her whole family and pack wiped out and that’s without how scared she must have felt knowing he wanted to make her his Luna, was hunting her down, f**k! He needs to suffer and by f**k he will and it will be long and painful!

“Marcus, you are here today to face the punishment for the crimes you have committed. you planned and executed the s*******r of an entire pack including your own family to gain the Alpha title when you have no b***d or legal ties to it. You also lead this attack under false pretences, telling the people that would help you a bunch of lies.”

“You then proceed with a plan of k********g Bethany, my Luna’s sister with the intention of forcing her to become your Luna, when that failed you moved on to another plan which included you trying to destroy my Beta’s life. These are just the main crimes, we both know you have done a lot more in between these but none of that matters anymore, you will die today for all of your crimes and not a soul will miss you!”

Marcus looks scared and I can see it in his eyes that he knows that this is over, he knows he’s f****d up one too many times and now he will pay. Steps sound out from behind me and I turn to replace Bethany walking towards us, her face stone cold and full of hatred.

She walks up to the t**t but closer than I would like or Jonah will allow and on instinct I step up behind her wanting to keep her safe, I don’t know if it’s because he’s helping cover my a*s or if it’s just his own need to protect her but Cal quickly steps up to the side of her only seconds after me.

“Marcus, I’ve known you my whole life, we played together as kids, hung out watching movies and eating junk food as teenagers and I always trusted you with my life, f**k how wrong I was to do that! You killed your own family, killed your sister, your sister who loved you with all her heart, your sister who would have laid down her life for you no questions asked, but you…you killed her and took away my best friend.”

“You took away my family, Brooke’s family, Bella’s, I’ll never understand why you’ve done everything you have; you had a good life but you choose to destroy it and for what? Where has it got you? That’s right tied up and about to die knowing you will leave your mate to suffer for months from a torn bond and that you’ll never see or hold your pup, your baby that you should be here to protect but instead that baby will be raised by someone else!”

My girl is showing incredible strength when I know inside, she’s falling apart from reliving all the pain-filled memories of what that bastard has caused. She looks him dead in the eyes the entire time she speaks to him and soon enough his scared and feared look turns to that of hatred and anger.

“They all deserved it every one of them, they were all below me as is everyone here! You can kill me but it doesn’t matter because my name will go down in history!”

“After today no one will breathe your name again, you won’t be remembered, you’ll be forgotten like the insect you are!” She grits her teeth as she speaks to him and I know she’s close to losing her s**t but I’m not about to stop her, she’s safe no one can hurt her and she’s free to do whatever the f**k she wants to him.

“you’ll always remember me, Bethany, you’ll always wonder how it would have been, being my Luna, being at my side while we ruled over a pack. You’ll always wonder how it would have been when we finally mated and marked each other and the joy my c**k would have brought you!” Before anyone can react Jonah lets out an earth-shattering growl and it takes everything I have in me to hold him back.

“LET ME OUT LIAM, I’M GOING TO TEAR HIS c**k APART!” He’s seething and so am I.

“Not yet, Jonah, we will get our turn don’t worry but right now Bethany needs to say whatever is on her mind, we need to let her have her moment so please calm down. I need to concentrate on keeping her safe rather than holding you In!” He’s not happy about it but he agrees and retreats to the back of my head.

A scream quickly brings me back to the situation, it’s Marcus, his face is bright red as he screams like a baby, I step forward to replace my girl has cupped hold of his crouch, her nails digging in as she squeezes hard and then twists her wrist and his scream reaches new levels. I hate that her hand is even close to his c**k but I’m also incredibly proud of her, despite what she’s feeling inside she won’t let him see it, she’s still ready to hurt him.

“YOU WON’T EVER GET TO TOUCH ANYONE WITH THIS THING AGAIN MARCUS!” She bellows out to him in his face while she continues to squeeze harder, still slowly twisting while the look of pure agony on his face brings a huge smile to mine and Calvins and soon enough Bethany’s too.

Before anything else can happen, we’re all distracted by the sound of growls and hear footsteps coming from the edge of the forest, the noises get louder and closer and I see every one of our warriors instantly get ready to fight, both I and Cal are ready and waiting, we get ready to lunge when faces start appearing out of the tree line, hands in the air as I quickly count 20 heads.

“We mean no harm to you or your pack Alpha, Calvin, we are from the moonshine pack, my name is Thomas Randle I am the Gamma to the pack, we spoke on the phone!” Every one of them bows their head in respect to Calvin while keeping their arms in the air a sign of respect and no danger wanted.

“I know who you are, Gamma Thomas, what are you doing here?” Calvin relaxes his stance and I soon follow but I’ve already sent out a mass link to our warriors to stay guarded.

“Are you really that dull, they are here to save me you assholes, here to save their Alpha!” Marcus laughs out, this guy is f*****g insane! Bethany digs in her nails more causing an ear-piercing scream to leave his mouth and a laugh to leave hers. That’s my girl!

“Bethany come here sweetheart!” I hold out my hand to her and thank the f*****g stars she takes my hand and comes to stand by my side without any hesitation. She had her moment to inflict pain on him but I can’t bear another moment of her hand anywhere near that bastard’s c**k!

“We are not here to save you, Marcus, we are here to make sure you die!” Gamma Thomas shouts out and a defining round of applause and agreeance follows from the men behind him.

“Alpha Calvin I know we weren’t invited but we were hoping you would allow us to witness that bastards fate, we know everything that has happened, Beta John told us and everyone at the pack is disgusted at what he had us do, for the reasons he gave us and we want nothing more than to make sure he suffers!” Gamma Thomas is clearly fuming and I can hear the honest tone in his voice.

“You can stay to watch but I hope you understand why I will have you all guarded!” He nods with a smile as I link 20 of our men to surround them, none of the men seen offended by this which helps ease some of my concerns but my guard won’t be let down, not yet anyway.

Jack, Ashley and Brooke have all stepped forward in this time coming to our sides, they were ready for an attack just as we were, I turn my attention back to Marcus when I catch movement out of the corner of my eye and I see Annabella our witch stepping towards us, I thought she had left.

“It’s done, Gamma Jack!” She smiles towards him as he thanks her, Cal gives me a look indicating that he had no idea she was here either, we both face Jack and wait as he’s talking to 2 of our warriors telling them to keep her safe.

“I had Annabella come and put a spell on the pup that Sarah is carrying.”

“What spell?” He gives me his reassuring smile before answering.

“A protection spell, it will keep the pup safe until it is born. Sarah can’t do anything to hurt it!” I hadn’t even thought about that, but now that I do, I don’t doubt Sarah would try and hurt the pup before It’s born.

“Nice work Gamma!” Cal nods his head to Jack with a proud expression that I quickly follow. As soon as Annabella is safe and everyone’s moved back we turn our attention back to Marcus ready to make him suffer like nothing he has ever known.

I feel tingles run up my arm to realise Bethany’s pulling on my hand, the feel of her hand in mine had felt so right that I had forgotten we were even holding hands. She looks up to me and I know she wants to say something to me.

“What’s wrong sweetheart?”

“I want him to suffer but I don’t want to do it, I don’t want to see it either!” She looks so small and sad at that moment and it quickly reminds me that she’s only 15, she shouldn’t see this, it’s my job to protect her and that’s what I will do.

“Good because I wasn’t going to allow you to have any part in it anyway sweetheart, you will be heading back to the packhouse ok?” She looks shocked for a moment but it’s soon replaced with relief and gratitude as she nods her head.

“Brooke will be coming with you too sweetheart, none of you needs to see this and I won’t risk my pup or either of my girls getting caught up in anything!” Cal adds in. Brooke looks at him and quickly graces him with a smile before coming towards us and taking

Bethany’s hand, she lets go of mine and I have to fight back a whine at the loss of contact.

“Come on Beth let’s go and get Bella and have some fun with her!” Brooke’s Luna voice quickly soothes away any doubts Bethany had as they say their goodbyes and start walking towards the packhouse with 4 guards surrounding them, just before they are out of sight Bethany turns and looks at me.

“Make him pay Liam, make him suffer for every single person he’s hurt!”

“Oh, I will Bethany, I promise you!” She smiles at me before turning her back to me and fading out of sight. I turn back to Marcus, with Calvin, Jack and Ashley at my side, I feel the b***d pumping around my veins and my heart picks up the pace, I know I’m going

to enjoy this, he’s going to suffer long and hard and I’m going to love every moment!

“We will follow your lead on this Liam, this is your show!” Calvin quickly tells me and I send him a grateful nod just as quick. The Alpha usually leads stuff like this but I know Calvin is doing it because Bethany’s my mate because he knows I need this, Marcus being the devious bastard he is he doesn’t miss a trick.

“Wait a f*****g moment, holy f**k, I knew there was something strange with how you behaved towards Bethany when she was kidnapped but I didn’t expect this, I just assumed you wanted a piece of her a*s but…how the f**k did I miss it? Your Bethany’s mate ain’t you Beta Liam? You’re her mate and she doesn’t have a clue!”

He starts laughing but before I can react Jack has delivered a hard punch to his ribs winding him, thankfully he wasn’t talking very loud so I don’t think anyone else heard and after looking around it doesn’t seem like anyone did. I stuff his mouth with a cloth so he can’t say any more. I pick up the gas can I put on the ground before he was brought out, opening it up I let the gas fall out as I walk around him, making a circle until he is completely surrounded before looking up to him with a chilling smile…

“It’s a shame you won’t get to live long enough to replace out isn’t it, Marcus!… let’s get, started shall we?”
