"Rick, leave us," Yasmin said softly after regaining her strength.

Rick looked at the queen and then Dominic before nodding and leaving.

Yasmin turned to Dominic and said weakly, "How much time do I have?" "What are you talking about?" Dominic asked.

"Come on. I heard that herbal medicine practitioners can tell how long a person will live by just taking their pulse. Am I dying soon?" She frowned. She had always felt she could not hold on any longer.

Since Yasmin did not know how much time she had, she was desperate to test the experiment, even though it was not mature enough yet. Still, she ended up getting treated like a guinea pig due to Fred's greed.

"What nonsense are you spouting? I'm a physician, not a fortune teller." Dominic shook his head and sighed. He then sat on the chair beside the bed.

"Don't worry. Although you're weak, your life isn't in immediate danger. You couldn't catch your breath because you got too worked up.

"Anyway, at our age, we must steer away from pride, impatience, greed, resentment, and anger," he said, counting on his fingers, "You should know better than to get so upset."

"My son disobeyed me. You wouldn't understand," Yasmin said, sighing helplessly.

Dominic was speechless. Although he could not understand her because he had no children, it did not mean he was clueless about communicating with a younger person. He threw her a sidelong glance and asked half-jokingly, "So, how old is the brat?"

The queen coughed. "Forty."

She shut her eyes. "My son couldn't understand what I was trying to convey."

"Huh? He's forty, yet you expect him to obey you?"

Puzzled by his bewildered tone, Yasmin turned to look at him.

"Are you kidding me? I bet he's already a father at this age, isn't he? How do you expect him to obey you? Would you obey your mom in your old age? If she told you to give up your experiment and throne, would you do it?"

Yasmin looked grim. "My mom passed away decades ago."

"I mean, what if she were alive?"

Yasmin grew upset. "Although you have my respect, you must still watch what you say."

"Hey, I'm just stating facts, okay? If someone tries to tell you what to do, you'll be upset, too. Besides, you're in control, while your son isn't. Do you think you're being fair to him?" The queen fell silent.

"You two only disagreed. You should just listen to whoever is right," Dominic said, slapping his thigh.
