We got to dad’s office where our parents, the rogues, and all our ranked wolves were waiting for us. Even Zezar and Carter were there. “Good now that we are all here, how about you seven start by telling us your names.” Mama said as the boys and I sat down. A man stood and bowed his head to mama. “My name is Hector Adems, Luna. This is my brothers Julius, Kevin, and Mark. Julius’s mate Amy, Kevin’s mate Alicia, and Amy’s younger sister Tina.” He said, pointing to each of his companions. Hector explained that the rogues that didn’t summit to me were wolves that used to follow William Darkwood. I recognized the name as Aunt Shainna’s father.

I guess some of the rogues that were in his so-called pack kept following his example. If they came across any wolves that were part of a pack, then it was kill or be killed. If they came across those that choose to stay out of trouble and packs altogether, then they were forced to join them. Since Hector was the eldest out of their group they took his mate as collateral. Hector’s brothers and their families only followed so they could replace a way to get Hector’s mate, Lila, back from whatever kind of bunker they had her stashed in. “Well you seem to be non threatening, so you can rest in our territory for now. Though you still will be under surveillance.” Dad said. They all sighed and nodded to him. “Yes Alpha.” They said in unison.

“But dad, what about Hector’s mate? We should help look for her.” I said. Dad turned to my direction. “Right now we are not getting anywhere with the rogue in the cells, and if we push too much right now he could die.” Dad states. “If he dies right now, then there would be no hope in replaceing his mate.” Daddy finished. I growled in irritation. I stood up and walked out of the room. I heard footsteps behind me and the scents gave it away. It was EJ, TJ, and Luca. I ignored them and went straight to the cells where the rogue was being held.

I get there and Tucker is leaning against the wall studying his nails as if they were the most fascinating thing in the world. “I knew you were gonna show up sooner or later.” He said not looking my way. I went to step around him, but he blocked my path. “Move out of my way, Tucker.” I ordered. I normally never used my alpha tone to order anyone around, especially those I consider family, but I need to see that rogue. “Sorry, no can do. I am under your father’s alpha orders to not let anyone in, and that includes you too.” Tucker said, staring me right in the eyes.

I growled. “Either you step aside or I will force you to.” I snapped. Tucker got into a fighting stance in front of me. “That is enough, you two.” A stern voice came from behind us. I snapped my head to see mama walking towards us. “Tucker, let her pass.” She said, “But-” mama cut him off with a raise of her hand. “I will deal with my mates. Right now, Melody is on a warpath, and I would rather not see you sent to the hospital.” Tucker nodded and moved aside. “Thank you mama.” I said and stormed into the cell, alone.

I walked into the small room. It smelled like b***d, rust, mold, and urine. I saw a pale skinny man with dark shaggy hair. He lifted his head up to me and smirked. “Oh they sent their little princess to ask me? Well sorry sweetheart I got nothing to say to you pathetic-” I cut him off by slamming my fist inside his mouth, not caring about his teeth cutting up my skin. I held my fist in his mouth like a gag. I heard the sounds of his jaw breaking and him whimpering against my fist. “I don’t give a s**t about you, you worthless worm. I am not here for bull s**t. I am here for answers and to get those I am going to speak directly to your wolf.” I said. He whimpered in response. I closed my eyes and focused on his wolf.

Darkness surrounds my vision and a small grey wolf was before me and Artemis was beside me. The grey wolf growled lowly at us. I roared and realised all of my alpha aura. The grey wolf dropped to the ground and whimpered and whined. No ordinary wolf, especially a rogue, can withstand the tense power of an alpha. “Now you are going to tell me what your human has done with the mate he has taken.” I growled out. He whimpered more.

“He sold her to a leech. He was a foreigner, a Russian I think.” He whined out and I saw a mental picture appear. “This is what he looks like.” I looked at the now clear image. It was the face of a man with white blonde hair and beard, very pale skin, and red eyes. Though instead of a normal red like a low level vampire would have, this guy’s eyes held power and were brighter. “He must be a pure b***d.” Artemis stated. I nodded. “This means that we need to hurry now more than ever.” I replied.

A pure b***d vampire was rare, but they were more formidable in a fight than a normal vampire. If Hector’s mate was with a pure b***d vampire, then she must be used as part of their ‘cattle’ as they call them. I turn back to the grey wolf. “I will be frank, your human will die. I pray that the next time you are reborn that you are paired with a better human and live an honest life.” I said before I broke the connection between us.

I opened my eyes again and was back in the cell room with the rogue. My fist still in his mouth. The smell of urine is even stronger than before. I looked down to see that this worthless werewolf had pissed himself as I was talking to his wolf. I looked him in the eyes and removed my fist. “Who is the pathetic one now?” I asked smugly and turned around and left him hanging there.

I walked out to see that my dad’s have joined us down here. “I am going to Russia. This piece of s**t sold Hector’s mate to a vampire.” I said as I wiped the rogue’s saliva off my hand. I need to really clean my hand when I get back to my room. “We can send the warriors to-” Papa started, but I shook my head to cut him off. “No, I need to go. I know that bastard’s face. Plus I have my own thing to do over there.” I said. “What do you mean you have your own thing to do?” Dad asked while raising an eyebrow.

I mind linked my parents and explain everything to them that I did with Luca and my brothers. By the time I was done, mama looked so happy, but all three of my dads looked as if they were going to pop a b***d vessel. Before any of them could say anything, mama shot them a glare that told them to ‘Shut the hell up or else’ and they said nothing. Then she turned to me. “Have Sasha and Nathan drive you and the boys to the airport. You can take the company jet, just make sure you pack warmly and call us when you land.” I smiled and gave her a big hug and ran to my room with Luca and my brothers following me.

After packing and heading out to the front. Nathan takes out suitcases and packs them in the car. Luca had asked Carter to stay at Raven Moon until he got back, and asked Zezar if he would come with us as backup. Zezar and Tobias were not overly thrilled about being apart, but Zezar couldn’t ignore a request from Luca and Tobais is not a stealthy fighter. He is more of a kicking a*s, taking names kind of fighter and that draws too much attention. I hugged my mama and dads tightly and climbed in the car with my brothers. “See you soon.” I called out the window. As we drove off. I didn’t stop waving until the pack house was out of sight. ‘Next stop, Russia.’ I said to Artemis. She yipped in excitement for a new adventure.

Jess’s POV

My alphas and I waved to our children until the car was no longer in site. “Why did you just let them go Jess?” Leo asked me. “Yeah. This could be very dangerous.” Hero said. I turned to them. “The life of a werewolf is not exactly safe from the start.” I counter. “Besides, if this is the path Melody is meant to follow, then why should we stop her?” My mates seem to be thinking about it. They might understand, but Melody was still their baby girl and they would put her in a dam bubble if they could. “Let’s just place some faith in our children and see how things play out.” They seem to agree.

Jeremiah’s POV

I sigh as I look over some documents. I feel so irritated. 260 years and still no mate. I growl in frustration as I slam my hands down on my desk. ‘WHY!? Why is it so hard for us to replace our mate?’ I scream at my inner vampire. ‘I can’t say. All we can do is wait.’ Logan replied. I snarled again. ‘I am tired of waiting!’ I am brought back to reality as someone knocks on my door and opens to someone popping their head inside. “Master, is everything alright?” A servant asked. I compose myself and nod. “Yes, just a little argument with myself.” The servant nods and leaves. I sigh and stare out the window. Staring at the snow blowing in the winds. I can’t wait anymore for a mate that may never come. I picked up my phone to call my uncle and talk about his proposal.
